“Michelle has been such a big help with my two pups! She’s great with them and they always come back happy and pooped (which is amazing for me). She has a lot of background with dogs of all types and adapted to both my pups very quickly. When I tell my dogs that Michelle is on the way they’re pacing around the house excited and waiting for her!”

“Lauryn is a total gem. Our dog loved her instantly, which made me feel at ease. Lauryn was professional and kind during our meet and greet, and confident with our girl who is a high-energy, leash-reactive GSD mix. We came home to a happy, sleepy pup. I definitely recommend Lauryn.”

“Sara has been taking Archie on walks since the beginning of the year. He knows that when I put his harness without his leash, Sara is on her way and he waits eagerly at the front door for her. We love the variety of different walks Sara takes him on and her sweet personality. We can tell that Sara really cares for the dogs she looks after and most importantly, Archie always has a fantastic time with her! Thank you Sara!”

About: I've work in multiple animal hospitals taking care of range of ages of pets from senior to barely a week old kittens. I understand the gentle nature you must have when taking care of your fur babies. My neighbor has a beautiful 16 year old cat that I take care of and at times he can have some accidents and I always do my best not just cleaning up the mess but also bathing him to make sure he stays nice a clean. Family friends have put their trust in me for taking care of their senior German shepherd while on vacation making sure she got the attention and the proper exercise while away. Each pet is unique and have their own special requirements, some need to run for miles, other's are couch potatoes and I'm capable of meeting either needs. Whether it's a nice jog or stroll, learning/reinforcing commands. I also understand that some dogs can be anxious and need time to warm up to knew people or have routines that help ease them. With my work in clinics I experienced working one on one with anxious rescues and learned how to work with them to help making them more comfortable with strangers in the clinic. At the end of the day I want to give you pets the best experience I can and treat them like my own while they're in my care. I have a very flexible schedule at the moment giving me plenty of time to take care of your fur babies, even evening too rain or shine. I'd first want to know if there's and house rules for your pets (no siting on the couch, certain areas of the house that could be off limits, timing for if they go in a crate at night). I'd want to spend as much time as I could with them getting their energy out or if their more the type to lay with you on the couch. I would always amke sure their water bowl stays full and make sure they dont get into anything while you're gone. I'd also could take garbage and recycling out if needed while you're away.

“Alex showed up on time and was polite and friendly for Links walk. He took him for a super nice walk and we got lots of photos. Would definitely book him again when I’m in need of a walk!”

“I am living for Britney’s reviews of her experience on the walk with my dog, Pip are my favourite! So descriptive and funny and cute to know how Pip interacted with Britney. She is on time, friendly, super responsive. She also seems really flexible and has accommodated Pip and I last minute. Have already booked again :)”

I'm currently not working as I freshly graduated nursing school! Taking the summer off to study for my exam and looking to spend that time caring for clients and potentially continuing long-term if it’s a good fit! I currently only have one cat in the home who is friendly with dogs and other cats as she grew up around both. I have a fenced in yard and two story home with lots of space. About: Welcome to your first step in learning about someone who has a passion for every animal species on this planet, especially dogs and cats! I love to indulge in other people's pets whenever I can!! Everyone has a hobby, right? I come with the ability to empathize with and nurture animals like they are my own children so I can promise you that your "fur babies" will be well taken care of every step of the way. I have experience with younger and older cats and dogs, and LOVE taking them out for walks or just cuddling with some Netflix. I'm an extremely humble person and have a huge heart for animals, especially being from an Environmental Program. To top my profile off, I am very experienced in fostering dogs! I am used to all behaviours, breeds and ages as well as what it takes to ACTUALLY care for an animal. If you have any more questions, please don't hesitate to ask! Currently, I am available 7 days a week! I am able to walk/care for your pet in the wee hours of the morning, after work and of course, cuddled up in my bed overnight. I am a very quiet person with an immense respect for pet parents and their homes. That being said, if your pet has anxiety or any trust issues with men, women, other animals or loud noises, rest assured, they are 100% safe in your home and on the streets from all of those things.
About: Hi, I’m Jenelle! I have spent my life caring for and most importantly, loving animals. I have surrounded myself with animals my entire life and truly believe pets are what make a family whole. Personally, I have had experience with dogs, cats, birds (lovebirds, budgies), rabbits, and fish. Currently, my family consists of myself and my fiance, and our 6-year-old Golden Doodle, Beau. Through both personal and professional experiences, and as a volunteer with the Guelph Humane Society, I have gained plenty of experience with a variety of animals and have experience walking, handling, and socializing with dogs of all breeds, sizes, backgrounds, personalities, and needs. I am very active and enjoy long hikes (or runs) on our city's many wonderful trails and have a flexible work schedule and therefore, am available on some weekdays as well as weekends. No matter the animal, I look forward to getting to know you and the fur baby that makes your family whole! My job is hybrid, with my office close by. As long as I know your needs in advance, I can adjust my work schedule around your pet. I have a fenced-in yard and my partner and I have a 3-bedroom house - 2 of the rooms are occupied by us and our furry family, but your pets can have their own quiet room if needed.
About: I always loved being around the pups, I feel they are my stress busters. Whenever I'm with them I feel happier and always loved playing with them since my childhood. I also worked with agencies where I used to take them to walking or dog sitting and also I have taken care of my friend's dogs and took them walking and played with them in the park. I'm a student and I have plenty of time on the weekends and I'm also free on the weekends to play and walk your pups. I have a fenced backyard for the dogs to play if they need and I'll be with them to play and take care of them so that you can be stress free.
“Rayane was amazing! This was my first time using Rover AND having someone walk my dog, so I was nervous. We met the day before, and I was immediately at ease with Rayane. She asked lots of questions and gave Nori lots of love and pets. She kept me updated as she walked Nori, and sent lots of pictures after the walk. I had an excellent first experience with Rayane and will definitely book her again.”

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Kitchener choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
Yes, you can find walkers who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. On Rover:
- 81% of walkers can help with special care needs
- 98% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 96% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
