I am an Independent Travel Consultant (40 years in the travel business), so that means I set my own work hours and schedule, but as a PetParent myself, my days start and end with the care of my Tia & Tabi, as so too they would start and end with the care of your four-legged family member(s).

When I stay at Client's homes, I take care of the pets of course, but also do light housecleaning, take out the trash of needed, do some light yardwork, bring in mail and deliveries if necessary, water the plants etc. My primary focus is the welfare of the pets I've been hired to look after, but I am open to other tasks as well. For winter 2025/26: I will happily shovel your driveway, walkway, and sidewalk....rates to be discussed as it will depend on size of job.

Please note, I do not agree with or condone cruelty of ANY kind to our four-legged family members, so if you employ the use of shock collars, choke collars, prong collars or any other form of cruel and painful restraint for your dog, I am not participating in that and will not accept your request for dog-sitting or dog-walking.
A typical day
Every pet is different, just like us humans....some like more stimulation and activity, and others require less....so what I provide to your dog or cat will depend on what he or she is used to and what he or she needs to be a well-adjusted family member...we would discuss this during our Meet & Greet. I personally love the outdoors so if your dog requires a longer walk, I am totally up for that!

I currently share my life with a senior dog named Tia (13 years old) and a senior cat named Tabasco, aka Tabi, (14 years old)....both have been with me for 12 years but prior to these two sweethearts I've had dogs and cats my entire life.....and prior to that, as a child, I was raised on a hobby-farm, so I'm very comfortable around animals. Having travelled around North America in my self-converted tiny-home-on-wheels (Ontario to Arizona to BC, then cross-Canada), I was always very vigilant for dangers to my little Tia, such as rattle snakes, coyotes and wolves, birds of prey, and something we don't have here in Ontario,"goat heads"; HORRIBLE for paws. I would do same with your pet....I would always be vigilant and keep your pet safe from harm. I take my Tia for a walk at least twice a day, some days we go three times....morning and pre-bed are for her....I let her go at her pace, sniffing all the sniffs, relieving herself, meeting other dogs. If we go a third time, weather permitting (Tia doesn't "do" rain haha), that's more for exploration of new places. I would be happy to devote some of my time to your pet, whether that's a dog, cat, bird, hamster, gerbil, guinea pig, bunny, fish....I'm your girl! If you'll let me prove myself to you, I promise to not disappoint you! P.S. I do not bring Tia or Tabi with me when I do a Sit & Stay (unless my Rover Clients say it's ok), nor do I bring Tia for a walk when I'm walking a Rover Client dog, again, unless they say it's ok. P.P.S. Rover Settings prevent me from specifying....I am not able to walk a dog that weighs more than 65 lbs.

Lizzy has watched Aura many times and every time I'm even more blown away with how much care, love, and detail she gives to our little, spicy girl! This extra long trip overlapped with Auras 2nd birthday and Lizzy really made sure to make it special even though "Mom and Dad" weren't there. Lizzy really will love your pet as if they're her own! Her attention to detail, organization, and care can't be beat!
Lizzy did a great job managing my crazy complicated feeding plan for the three cats and the fact that we are still using a cat gate to help integrate our newest cat. Shawnee took to Lizzy very quickly and seemed to always be purring in her presence. Gus got very spoiled with brushes and petting (as it should be). And Mac recovered his appetite and was his usual active self. I knew all this from the detailed detailed updates, and the fact that all was good with the house and the cats when we returned home.
Lizzy is the best! Every time we’ve had her watch our dogs she consistently makes us feel comfortable leaving them with her. She gives regular updates and even started and shared a Google album with us so we could see pictures of our pups while we were away. I would recommend Lizzy to anyone who’s looking for a reliable, communicative and caring person to look after their dogs. At this point we wouldn’t trust anyone else. Thank you, Lizzy ❤️
