“They are so amazing! We bring our 4 month old miniature cockapoo there and she always has the best time! They constantly send photo and video updates so we know she’s doing well. As first time dog owners we were nervous to bring her to doggy day care but it as been a great choice! They were even available same day when we had to book last minute. I highly recommend Wenge and Changhe for anyone and everyone looking to try doggy day care! They are very reliable, attentive, kind and they respond quickly. Overall, a great experience for us and our pup.”

“Ruomai always takes wonderful care of our Millie! Super attentive, and provides some videos and pictures throughout the day so we know she is doing well. Always gets her to eat when she is kept through meal times, and makes sure she has a comfortable social experience as well. Millie is always just as excited to come here as she is to come home! Would always recommend.”

About: I have had dogs in my home since I was a young child. My most recent pup was a French Bulldog, who now resides with my parents. I am confident in delivering basic puppy training including walking on a leash, house commands, and behavior. I am an active person who really enjoys hikes and long walks, so if you have a high-energy dog that needs stimulation I am the guy! I work full-time from home and can accommodate dog-sitting, drop-ins, or walks during the day between Mon-Fri. My weekends are available for more sitting, walks, and drop-ins. I can provide boarding at any time! My partner and I do not own any pets but have a no-clutter house that is perfect for a dog of any size. I have a fenced yard (albeit small), end unit townhouse with a larger fenced common area for play and bathroom breaks. In addition, we back onto a larger trail network for lengthy walks.
“Here is a polished review: I had a very good experience! My dog had a wonderful day and looked so happy when I picked him up. She took care of all my dogs needs and speficications and took him for two walks during the day. I really appreciated the care and attention she gave him, and I would definitely recommend her!”

“Laila loves going here. Plays so well with her dog Link. Great backyard for them to run around in. Priyanka is very responsive and I get lots of updates throughout the day.”

“Fantastic service with Emma and Victoria! Pepper took to them quickly upon introductions and she had a wonderful time at their home for the day, including playtime with their little doggos. Received multiple updates with pictures which was SO appreciated! Very happy we were able to do daycare with Emma and Victoria today, and the pickup-dropoff service was a lifesaver. Thank you!”

“I felt very comfortable leaving our (almost) one year old puppy with Cindy and Marc and when we picked her up we could tell she had a wonderful day. She was well cared for and enjoyed running in their fully fenced yard. We hope to book with them again!”

“Our dog loves spending time with Brittany and we really appreciate her skills and approach with him. It's also great to see him running to front door when we drop him off.”

“Sarah is the best! She accommodated my early and late working hours, kept me updated on all the fun Rodger and her we’re having and sent me lots of pictures! To top it off she sent me home with a special treat for Rodger and a cute Polaroid photo of him! Highly recommend!!”

About: I have had pets since I was a small child, mostly dogs and cats but I grew up on a farm so have been around all kinds of animals. I have two families that contact me all the time to watch their pets when they are on vacation and we love to have them join us. I have 5 children who adore animals and who are there to lend a helping hand as well as their space to be a great companion to your pets! I work from home so I am always home with my kids and pets, your pets will never be lonely. They will be so loved and cared for, usually by the second time here they walk right in without even looking back! We will always treat your babies like we treat our own :) I’ve worked from home for many years and will continue to do so for many years to come. I am home 95% of the time throughout the week and on weekends. This leaves me very available to care for and accompany your pet. I have a fully fenced yard, we have lots of space inside and out and love to go on walks. I have 2 dogs that get along well with others and can keep your pets company. My kids will also be there to play with, care for, and show love to your pets everyday.
“I am so thankful to Crystal for taking such great care of Ember, who came home happy and ready for a big nap! This was the first time I’ve left Ember with someone outside of the family, and Crystal's updates were great and very reassuring - taking away any anxiety I might have had. She also handled a rainy-day drop-off with a half-wet dog very kindly which I am extra grateful for. I would definitely trust Crystal with Ember again!”

About: I’ve taken care of family dog and neighbors dog for 5 years. I have experience taking care of small to medium dogs and can train basic skills for puppies. My job has a flexible hours schedule and I can work from home. Therefore I can accommodate any hours needed by the customer and their dog. I do not have pets in my home currently, so the client’s dog will be the only pet in the home. I’ll make sure their dogs feel comfortable here.
“Maverick came home tired and happy after his day with Eva and her family. Eva provided fantastic communication throughout Maverick's visit. We'd be happy to have Maverick stay with her again!”

“I am so lucky that I found Jayson. Our dog is usually shy at first, but she clicked with Jayson. He is kind, caring and I feel so relieved when she is with him for doggy daycare. Jayson responds very quickly and communicates very clearly. His dog, Arnold has made our girl feel comfortable, which is amazing, as she can be apprehensive at times. Jayson will provide lots of photos during the day and keeps me updated on her walks (or hangouts in the backyard when it is too hot). His photos are always accompanied by a text, telling me how she is doing, how her walk was, when she had dinner, etc. I love that Jayson always gives off a calm and happy demeanor, because it not only makes our dog comfortable, but I do not worry at all about her while she is there. If you are looking for someone who provides a fun and calm space, a very chill doggy companion, and lots of care, I 100% recommend Jayson as your pet sitter/walker.”

“Thank you, Deborah-Lynn, for giving Patch and Sunny such a fun play environment. I can tell they’ve had a lot of fun and didn’t miss me too much! I really appreciated the updates and pictures, completely putting my mind at ease throughout the day. You are an exceptional dog person/trainer - unlike any I’ve known! Very highly recommend!”

About: Hi my name is Ranjitha. I love animals because they’re always there for us and they are the epitome of love. I’ve always had pets around me when I grew up. They deserve the best care. I have been working and volunteering in pet care for years. Interacting with any animal makes me happy but dogs and cats will always have a special place in my heart. Regardless of whether they have fur or scales I treat my pets, and other’s pets as family members who need just as much love and emotional care as they do physically. I’m looking forward to meeting you and your pets. I'm currently working from home, so I'll have plenty of time to play with your furry friends! I am available for boarding on weekends and weekdays on request. I have full house free for your pet to get comfy and have a friendly cat to keep your fur baby company. I can easily crate your dog if needed.
“Sara and Rick took excellent care of Ruby. We received many updates of fun adventures and socializing with their two dogs. Ruby came home happy and we wouldn’t hesitate to use their services again.”

About: Pets have been part of my life as long as I can remember - rodents, dogs, cats, chickens. I’ve fostered and adopted rescue dogs, raised puppies and trained both puppies and adult dogs; a senior trainer once singled out how well I connect with dogs and get real results in training sessions. I’m outside a lot and can tailor exercise to the dog - slow neighborhood wanders for some, trail runs for others. I work from home with flexible hours, so pet care fits naturally into my day - not squeezed around a 9-to-5. That means plenty of time for walks, play and just keeping generally good company. At home I’ve got a 3-year-old dog who gets along with everyone: other dogs, cats, kids. She’s a great role model for pets staying with us. I use positive reinforcement and motivation based training, never punishment. My yard is fully fenced, and we’re close to several parks and trails for exercise and stimulation. The house also contains two cats and two kids, all of whom are dog-savvy and comfortable around other animals…just something for you to be aware of when assessing if we’re the right fit for your furry family member.

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Kitchener
McKenna and Zachery took great care of our Golden Retriever, Rusty. They took us in last minute and even extended the stay until later than we had planned to pickup. They communicated effectively and followed Rusty’s routine and care instructions properly as well. Their dog and Rusty got along pretty well and we were sent a lot if pictures too! Would highly recommend.

Highly recommend Anselm and Priyanka! They took incredible care of Leo for day care. He got plenty of exercise with three walks and loved hanging out and playing with their dog, Iris. It’s so nice knowing he was in safe, happy hands. Leo will definitely be back.

Cindy and Marc were very catering to my pup. They seem to be very gentle and sweet with her while on her stay. This was the dog's first time and they kept me updated about her progress. The dog was calm and not too anxious when I picked her up. I can tell they care for smaller dogs very much. Thank you, we will return soon!

Camila and her family took good care of Oscar when we were away. Her daughter is so compassionate and Oscar had so much fun playing with her.I am so glad they treated Oscar like family and he was so loved. Thankyou Camila for the videos and pictures throughout the day, it gave us peace of mind. Definitely will bring Oscar again to you 💕💕

We had a wonderful experience with Khushbu while caring for our Bella. She kept us updated with plenty of photos and videos throughout the day and that meant a lot to us and showed how well she was being cared for. Seeing Bella happy and comfortable brought us so much peace of mind. Thank you for treating her with such kindness and care. We wouldn’t hesitate to trust you with Bella again.

Cole and Lin were amazing with my young, energetic Doberman. He's a big guy and he's in his teenage years so he can be a handful! I was very nervous finding someone who could take on the energy of my dog but Lin and Cole reassured me of their experience with larger dogs. I'm glad I trusted them to take care of my dog for the day. Now I feel like anytime I need a dog sitter I know who I can go to and I know he will be well taken care of. Thank you Lin and Cole!

I am so thankful to Crystal for taking such great care of Ember, who came home happy and ready for a big nap! This was the first time I’ve left Ember with someone outside of the family, and Crystal's updates were great and very reassuring - taking away any anxiety I might have had. Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Kitchener commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they do not have any disqualifying offences.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in ON ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines such as the DHPP or DA2PP, Rabies, and Bordetella.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. On Rover:
- 79% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 100% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 93% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
