“Thank you so much for looking after Tucker and Snow! We know Tucker’s been soaking up all the snuggles, and Snow’s been keeping you on your toes with his playful energy. It means the world to us knowing they’re in such loving hands. We couldn’t ask for a better sitter! Good job 👍”

“Deborah-Lynn was amazing, this was Jack’s first time away from home and I was very nervous about it. I got updates and pictures and it was amazing! Deborah-Lynn put my mind at ease and I can’t wait for Jack to be able to go and play with the Wheatley and Leena again on Tuesday. Thank you so much. He is currently curled up on the couch sleeping ?”

“Ruomai always takes wonderful care of our Millie! Super attentive, and provides some videos and pictures throughout the day so we know she is doing well. Always gets her to eat when she is kept through meal times, and makes sure she has a comfortable social experience as well. Millie is always just as excited to come here as she is to come home! Would always recommend.”

“Eva was extremely accommodating with my last minute booking. She was super nice and responsive, Bruno got home and fell asleep almost immediately. She took lots of pictures throughout the day and was all around fantastic! Thank you Eva!”

“Isha and Carlos were great! They sent updates throughout the day, including photos and videos, giving us peace of mind that Tillie was comfortable and having a good time with their dogs. We would highly recommend their services. They were also flexible with drop off and pick up times.”

About: Hello! My name is Olivia, and I am an experienced dog owner who runs my own training, grooming and pet care business in New Hamburg called Canine Community Corner. We offer a wide variety of services, such as boarding, walking, drop in visits, bath and brush, and nail trim services. We also carry a wide variety of pet care products in our storefront, most of which are made by other local small businesses. In my home, I have 2 dogs and a cat. In the past I have also had a bearded dragon, a chameleon, hamster, rats, and mice, so I am experienced with a wide range of animals. During their stay with us, your pet will receive flexible 5 star care, depending on their needs and preferences. My dogs and I are avid hikers, and often spend our free time out on walks through the forest. If your dog prefers to stay home, we are also able to provide a calm and quiet environment for the duration of their stay. I also have a wide variety of actives they can do at my facility in the case of bad weather, including a treadmill, obstacle training, and scent work activities. My goal and belief as a pet professional is that services should be catered to each specific client, and not a one size fits all model. Because of the size of our living space and the nature of my job/business, I do require that any dogs coming to stay with us are crate trained and that their crate is brought with them. This not only allows for a smooth and stress-free stay, but provides your dog with a familiar safe space in a new environment. If your dog has any sort of separation anxiety, please let me know beforehand so I can plan accordingly. Feel free to message me with questions at any time! Because I am a small business owner, I have a very flexible schedule that can change depending on the needs of my clients - whether that’s in a drop-in, walk, or boarding service. Our canine clients often spend the day with my at my storefront, then come hone with me in the evenings to hang out until bedtime. Depending on the dog and the preferences of the owner, they may also participate in group classes as a demo dog to help show the exercises being taught. I am currently living in an apartment that opens outside to a large yard. Dogs are kept on a long line, unless otherwise specified by their owner that they are able to be reliably off leash. Even with owner permission, I typically avoid any off leash time that could potentially lead to the dog escaping or getting injured. I also have a very structured system in my home, where I introduce dogs through a parallel pack walk before letting them interact either indoors or outdoors. I also spend a significant amount of time working on calm and impulse control, and avoid letting pets in my home get overly excited.
“Ruby was well taken care of and we felt completely comfortable leaving her in excellent care. We received great updates and it was so reassuring to see her relaxing and having fun! Thank you-we will definitely use your wonderful services again!”

“I am always a little apprehensive when going to a new sitter. But Ashley was really amazing with Loki. She gave updates, sent pictures. And Loki came back home all happy and after a great day of fun. Thanks”

“Neera went for daycare with Alison twice this week. Both times she came home happy and tired from a day of playing and was very excited to go back the second time. All communication was great and we arranged a meet and greet beforehand. I would definitely recommend Alison to anyone looking for some help with their pups.”

“Adam is caring, kind and patient. Our pup loves hanging out with Adam and his family. Over the past three months, we’ve left our pup with Adam over 10 times now. We’re very lucky to have found Adam through Rover. We’d highly recommend him!”

“Meng Chen was very nice and friendly. Communicated clearly with directions, pick up and drop off. She was very caring an provided updates and photos throughout the stay. I would highly recommend for your pups. Stitch had a great stay. 🌞”

“I am so lucky that I found Jayson. Our dog is usually shy at first, but she clicked with Jayson. He is kind, caring and I feel so relieved when she is with him for doggy daycare. Jayson responds very quickly and communicates very clearly. His dog, Arnold has made our girl feel comfortable, which is amazing, as she can be apprehensive at times. Jayson will provide lots of photos during the day and keeps me updated on her walks (or hangouts in the backyard when it is too hot). His photos are always accompanied by a text, telling me how she is doing, how her walk was, when she had dinner, etc. I love that Jayson always gives off a calm and happy demeanor, because it not only makes our dog comfortable, but I do not worry at all about her while she is there. If you are looking for someone who provides a fun and calm space, a very chill doggy companion, and lots of care, I 100% recommend Jayson as your pet sitter/walker.”

“We had a wonderful experience with Saksham. He was caring, reliable, and kept us updated regularly, which gave us great peace of mind. Our dog Shadow was happy, well cared for, and clearly comfortable. We would absolutely recommend him and will book again without hesitation.”

About: I grew up with animals around me while growing up on a farm. I love them, I respect their space and boundaries, and I always try to make them feel comfortable and loved ❤️ Available 7 days a week. Very flexible schedule even on the weekends. I typically spend my day taking care of my 3 cats with varying needs. I will respect your home and do my best to keep it clean and tidy while I’m there. I’ll make sure your pet is comforable, with plenty of play and exercise! I’ll make sure to clean food and water bowls, clean up their waste areas (litterboxes, pee pads, etc.), and give many cuddles if they're comfortable with me!
“Behnaz is so amazing, she took great care of our senior dog for daycare. We had a last minute thing come up, and without Behnaz it would have been so much more difficult. Thank you so much Behnaz, you're so kind!”

“We had such a wonderful experience with Edward! He took excellent care of Kim and treated him like family. We loved getting the updates and photos, which gave us complete peace of mind while we were away. Highly recommended!”

“Koda took to Priyanka and her pooch, Link, so effortlessly. We appreciate the calm and "fun" environment they foster. Cannot wait to bring Koda back for another visit. I know she can't wait either.”

“We dropped our pup May off with Sabrina on a somewhat last minute request and she was great. Very good communication and easy drop off/pickup. May did not want to leave when we picked her up! Would definitely recommend Sabrina to anyone.”

Maverick had an amazing day with Deborah-Lynn. During our meeting and greet, she quickly connected with him and built trust with me as well as Maverick. When we picked him up, she shared concrete feedback about his day, and he was clearly very comfortable with her. He's a tired, happy pup tonight!

Qi spent the day with our dog Tuna! Tuna had a fun day and Qi was very responsive to her quirks and needs! She sent lots of pictures and videos to keep us updated on how the day was going! Very responsive with communication and easy to coordinate with! Highly recommending letting Qi care for your fur baby!

Highly recommend Anselm and Priyanka! They took incredible care of Leo for day care. He got plenty of exercise with three walks and loved hanging out and playing with their dog, Iris. It’s so nice knowing he was in safe, happy hands. Leo will definitely be back.

We had a wonderful experience with Khushbu while caring for our Bella. She kept us updated with plenty of photos and videos throughout the day and that meant a lot to us and showed how well she was being cared for. Seeing Bella happy and comfortable brought us so much peace of mind. Thank you for treating her with such kindness and care. We wouldn’t hesitate to trust you with Bella again.

Cole and Lin were amazing with my young, energetic Doberman. He's a big guy and he's in his teenage years so he can be a handful! I was very nervous finding someone who could take on the energy of my dog but Lin and Cole reassured me of their experience with larger dogs. I'm glad I trusted them to take care of my dog for the day. Now I feel like anytime I need a dog sitter I know who I can go to and I know he will be well taken care of. Thank you Lin and Cole!

Salma was an amazing dog sitter! She has a great personality with a natural affectionate and gentle nature with pets. She took great care of Kofi and he was very happy to spend his time at Salma's place, and on top of that she's very flexible and accommodating as well. 10/10 would dog sit with Salma again 💯

Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Waterloo commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they do not have any disqualifying offences.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in ON ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines such as the DHPP or DA2PP, Rabies, and Bordetella.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. On Rover:
- 75% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 100% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 96% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
