“We were initially really nervous to leave Frankie overnight since she’s only 13 weeks old and can be a handful but she was in such good hands with Adam and we felt super safe and secure leaving her after meeting him. Wonderful communication and photo updates of our pup, we would absolutely use Adam again for future daycare/boarding needs.”

“Priyanka was an excellent sitter for Bee! Her dog Link made quick friends with our dog and they had a great time playing hard, and napping harder 💤 Priyanka sent us lots of photos, videos and updates while we were away which made us feel confident knowing Bee was getting great care. I would highly recommend!”

“Awesome stay, really helped us out! Very much appreciated the daily updates and pictures, it was really comforting to see our dog have fun while we were away.”

“Andres is the best!! I was unable to walk my dog for a week so he was completely riled up when I left him with Andres for the day. Andres took him for at least 4 one hour walks and when he came home he was finally calmer, even the day afterwards as well. Andres is really saving me as an overwhelmed dog parent! Thank you!!”

“Kara was took such good care of Seven! She sent me regular pictures and I could tell Seven was happy and comfortable, and he was very relaxed when I picked him up. Kara was also kind enough to accept to board Seven on a short notice which really helped me. Thank you so much Kara for being so kind with Seven. We will come back next time we're in Waterloo!”

“Our dog Sunny has been going to Ashley's for day care for several months and recently boarded with her for a couple of nights. We couldn't be happier! “We absolutely love when Saksham and Abhilasha take care of Butters. He loves them so much and is so comfy in their home. We never worry about him when we are away because we know he is having a great time and being extremely well taken care of. We get photos and updates every day so we never feel out of the loop.”

“Olivia cared for our puppy Max for a week while we were away and we couldn't be happier with the entire experience. The communication and updates were outstanding. Our drop off and pick up times needed to be a bit flexible and she was extremely accommodating. This is the first time we've ever left a pet with someone and it was very comforting knowing he was in good hands.”

“My dog(Willow) had a lot of fun and great time with Randi and her family for two weeks(Christmas and holiday season) while we were away. I am very thankful that Willow stayed with Randi. Thank you very much, Randi! We will see you soon or later for Willow again.”

Olivia was amazing! She boarded my dog, Xena, in her home for 2 weeks while I was out of the country and Xena had the best time. Olivia made sure to update me with photos and kept in touch so I knew Xena was in good hands. She made sure to make Xena feel comfortable as she settled into a new environment and during her stay. Will definitely book with her again! Xena has a new bestie!

We had a great experience with Shubham! He and his wife were incredibly kind and accommodating especially with our somewhat reactive and high energy pup. He made us feel at ease, and was always providing us updates and photos. We really appreciated his patience and flexibility. Highly recommend!

Hi, Judy was great. Our dog Maddie is 14 years old and did struggle with anxiety separation when first left with Judy. This made Maddie physically sick but Judy persevered instead of asking us to return and pick-up Maddie. Since the reason Judy was looking after Maddie was so we could be at our daughters wedding it was crucial that we felt Maddie was being cared for properly. Judy went above and beyond provided updates and pictures so that we could enjoy this incredibly special day. The wedding was absolutely perfect and Judy played a very important role in making it so. Thanks so much, Luc

Zoey had an amazing stay with Jayson . He took her to Waterloo Park, Victoria Park and a park in Guelph. She stayed for Saturday and Sunday and already visited 3 parks🥰. He took care of all her routine on time as well. He went above and beyond and shared us photos of eating, her visit to park and eating.🥰 Zoey got all the attention with Jayson and also had amazing time with his dog Arnold. We are definitely rebooking him soon for Zoey’s stay. ⭐️

Christy was great! Responded promptly to our initial inquiry and we were able to meet and greet within a few hours. Our small toy poodle, Ele, was able to relax at Christy’s home a few days later to help us out. Christy sent photos during Ele’s stay to assure us that everything went smoothly. We informed Christy that we could return a few minutes after our booking time and she agreed to be flexible. We would not hesitate to book with Christy in the future!

I am so impressed with the level of care that my Bella received, she was well taken care of and taken on walks and got to interact with other dogs. She sent me updates and video clips of Bella and that put me at ease . Bella is also walking better now, not pulling , I dont know how she did it, but she taught Bella to walk nice over her short visit. Amazing care giver, I will definitely be back again and againl.

My Beagle is always happy and well cared for with Jessie and her two friendly dogs. I am confident Molly will be allowed to play outside, have Jessie with her during the whole boarding in her house. Molly loves to come here. I highly recommend Jessie's services. I have booked ahead for the next time I am away .Thx Jessie!

If it was not for Isha and Carlos… I don’t know what I would do! They love our pup as much as we do and everytime we leave Grimm, it is worry free because we know she is in the best hands. This is the 3rd long trip we have left Grimm with them for. I actually felt bad picking Grimm up because it seemed like she was having a blast and didn’t want to go.. I’m getting a little jealous by how much she loves them ! 😜 We received photos/ videos everyday of Grimm which was so nice. Never had to ask for an update! Thanks for everything!

Charitini & Pana took great care of Moose when we were away for a couple of days. It was our first time dropping Moose off with them and they made him feel right at home. Took him on lots of walks and played with him so he wouldn’t be bored. He came home happy, tired and ready to crash! We will definitely reach out to them next time we are looking for boarding for Moose.

Amazing and very kind and caring lady! She has looked after our dear dog several times! We are so happy to have found her! Very professional, keep us updated every single day with texts, photos and videos of our dog, and took our dog for several daily walks. She also cared for our dog by giving her meds and food exactly the way we needed it her to have them. Overall I will totally recommend Carmen! And we hope to continue having her look after dog in the future! Thank you so much Carmen!

Behnaz is one of our favourite sitters and she just hosted our dog for two weeks. She took excellent care of her and ensured she got exercise tailored to her rehab program, had her medications and appropriate enrichment. She was very conscientious about details from the right amount for the weight loss diet our dog is (sadly!) on to monitoring her for other health concerns. We feel so much at ease when our dog is with Behnaz and would strongly recommend her. We even drove from out of town before a flight just to make sure our dog was in the beat hands for a long stay. Thank you for the love and care !

Dogs came back healthy and tired, it seems like the dogs had a great time. They asked great questions and had a pretty good intro routine set up at the dog intro which made us very confident leaving our dogs with them. Will definitely reach out about dog-sitting in the future!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they do not have any disqualifying offences.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
