I’ve had all types of pets from small to medium to large dogs since I can remember. I have years of hands-on experience caring and loving for pets as they are part of the family. I am a dog dad of Arnold, my 4-year-old Frenchie, who is playful, very welcoming and friendly. ⛑️ CERTIFIED FIRST AIDER: I am a trained pet first aider by Canadian Red Cross. Identifying abnormal vitals and helping your pets in emergency situations, I am here to assist. 📅 AVAILABILITY: I work from home and can easily adjust my time accordingly. There are 2 animal hospitals near my house and both a 10-minute walking distance. 📱 COMMUNICATION: I know the feeling of being apart and entrusting the care of your pet to someone, so I make communication a priority. You’ll receive updates, photos and messages. The anxiety and worry are always there but rest assured that I’d care for anyone’s pets as they are my own. 🏆 GOAL: My goal is simple; to treat your dog like family every step of the way and make sure they have fun, safe and stress-free experience every time. To pay close attention to how they are feeling and follow any routines or instructions you have shared.
About: ***Welcoming new friends for walks/drop ins!*** With over 30 years of caring for cats and dogs, we guarantee that we will care for and love your pet as if they were our own. I started walking a neighbour’s dog and caring for cats when I was in my midteens - after years of longing for a pet in a pet-free home, it was a way to get a “fix”! Over the years I have cared for other people’s companions and eventually my own. I didn’t get my first dog until I was 29! Since then I have had 5 dogs. The most recent is Lily, a potcake from Bahamas. She joins Poppy, our l mutt who loves to play and take up the whole couch. We are a family that adores our dogs and everyone else’s too! My kids have had dogs in their lives since they were born and they are excellent with dogs of all kinds. My teenage daughter now joins me in caring for animals as a part-time job. This is at no additional cost to clients! Got two dogs? You get two times the love for the same price! If we are dropping in to see your companion, we promise to give them whatever they need - cuddles, play time or to just sit in quiet company. If your dog needs a walk, it will involve lots of focussed attention, chatting, pats, and treats (if allowed). We know what your pet means to you because we know what ours mean to us. And we know the kind of care and attention we want our dogs to have when we have to leave them behind. We offer care and affection, with a personal touch, whether drop-ins or walks. A note about fees: Nightly fees are for up to 24 hours. Additional time that is not a full day may incur additional fees. Not all holidays or high demand times in Ontario or Canada are included by Rover (ie Family Day, March Break) so rates may be adjusted for holidays. I work part-time outside the home. My husband works from home 4 days a week. We fit dog-walking and playtime in around our work and family obligations and usually get at least one big nature walk in on the weekends. Our dogs are part of our daily lives, napping nearby while we work or hanging out with us while we read, watch tv, or play games. We have a large fenced yard and our dogs have the run of the house. We also have a crate and can offer it if your dog needs a space to rest or stay if we go out or overnight. Daily walks and play time, snuggles if they want to, care and affection are just routine around here. We are definitely dog people! I have taken a basic canine first aid course and keep basic first aid supplies in the case of an emergency before veterinary care can be accessed. This would only be used immediately in case of an injury and would not replace veterinary attention.
About: I have had dogs my whole life. From, lab to mastiff to boxer. I can handle larger dogs and dogs who can be aggressive towards strangers and new friends. I have started my own business which occupies my early mornings and I find myself with time off during the day. Going for nice walkies with furry friends is the best way to fill my day. I am steadily employed and extremely responsible and respectful. I will give your good boy or girl my full attention and ensure their enjoyment and most of all their safety.
“Sandra did an amazing job taking care of my three cats while I was away. She sent daily updates with pictures, and I could tell my cats were happy and well cared for. Sandra even managed to win over my shyer cat Lily, which is no small feat! I came home to a clean house and content kitties. I highly recommend Sandra for pet sitting!”

About: I've grown up with large dogs my whole life and dedicated over 15 years to caring for dogs and cats and other animals. I have also voluntarily fostered puppies and adolescent dogs looking for forever homes, one of my dogs was a foster I then adopted. I have been dog sitting and training for years and have offered free training aids to new dog owners. I have experience with both large and small breeds. Working from home gives me a lot of flexibility when it comes to caring for animals and my two very social dogs love having friends around but also have their own designated space where they can be separated from visitors who may need time to adjust. I work from home and am studying my masters MBA online which gives me flexibility during the day. I am a mom to a 5yr old boy who goes to school so I'm available during the day 9am-3pm. I take pride and care in handling all your pets as if they were own. I'm familiar with different types of walking leads, harnesses, gentle leaders, etc., I'm very comfortable cleaning up after and brushing/caring for animals as well. I like to be active and get out so I quite enjoy spending time outdoors and walking pups around!
“Adam did a great job of taking care of our kitten for two days. It was the first time we had left him so I was very nervous but Adam came to meet Jack ahead of time and it was obvious that our little guy was in good hands. Adam sent updates and photos at each visit. We would definitely recommend Adam!”

“Sarah is 10/10 amazing! Not only did we feel immediately comfortable with her, so did our 3 cats. She took such great care of our kitties while we were away for a few days and made sure she checked in morning and night with pictures, updates etc. Meeting her has been such a huge relief, knowing we can travel and that we now have a reliable and caring pet sitter. We love Sarah!”

“Once again Jessica took such great care of our kitties while we were away. The pictures and updates were so wonderful to keep us from missing them too much. We will definitely be booking with Jessica again to look after our girls next time we go away!”

Cleanliness & preparedness • I ask where cleaning supplies, vacuums, or mops are kept in case of spills or accidents. • Litter, food areas, water bowls, and pet spaces are kept clean and consistent. “Stephanie was great! She helped me with drop ins/walks and I felt she was very communicative and reliable. She was sweet to my two pups/took the time to get comfortable with them, as they can be scared of strangers. Would recommend her!”

“Hugo was excellent. He quickly agreed to meet with us and we immediately felt completely at ease with having him as a caregiver for our dog and cat. He was able to do a sane day drop in and sent photos that showed how good he is with the pets. Looking forward to having him come back again soon!”

About: I have my Red Cross Pet First aid certificate and tons of experience dog walking for friends, family, neighbours and the SPCA (in New Brunswick). I have 2 large dogs, one of which is dog reactive who I walk daily. Senior dogs, dogs who are a little anxious or misunderstood have a soft spot in my heart. “Behnaz responds quickly, and clearly has a love of animals, with the added bonus of being a vet before moving to Canada. She has been patient and understanding about our rescue dog’s poor leash skills and reactivity towards other dogs.”

“Sunny is extremely friendly, a pleasure to work with, and adored my cat. She was also very observant and communicative during the visits. She noticed some issues and we were able to get it straightened out right away. I highly recommend!”

Shannon is the most incredible professional. We have been clients of hers for over a year and she consistently goes above beyond with the most incredible communication and updates, next level care and understanding for our doggies and such consideration for us! I can't say enough good things about this GEM of a person!

Hugo was excellent. He quickly agreed to meet with us and we immediately felt completely at ease with having him as a caregiver for our dog and cat. He was able to do a sane day drop in and sent photos that showed how good he is with the pets. Looking forward to having him come back again soon!

Iza is absolutely great! We were completely stress-free the entire time, knowing our three small dogs were in such great hands. Our dogs usually have a hard time eating when we're away, but dinner time with Iza was always good, and she was always on time. She showered them with lots of petting and love, and they had a blast playing and spending cuddle time on the sofa. She also handled cleaning and feeding the dogs with such care. We especially appreciated all the pictures she sent, which showed us just how happy, calm, and, most importantly, how well they were eating with her. We would highly recommend Iza to anyone looking for a caring and trustworthy pet sitter ;)
