About: Hello! My name is Olivia, and I am an experienced dog owner who runs my own training, grooming and pet care business in New Hamburg called Canine Community Corner. We offer a wide variety of services, such as boarding, walking, drop in visits, bath and brush, and nail trim services. In the past I have also had a bearded dragon, a chameleon, hamster, rats, and mice, so I am experienced with a wide range of animals. During their stay with us, your pet will receive flexible 5 star care, depending on their needs and preferences. My dogs and I are avid hikers, and often spend our free time out on walks through the forest. If your dog prefers to stay home, we are also able to provide a calm and quiet environment for the duration of their stay. I also have a wide variety of actives they can do at my facility in the case of bad weather, including a treadmill, obstacle training, and scent work activities. My goal and belief as a pet professional is that services should be catered to each specific client, and not a one size fits all model. Because of the size of our living space and the nature of my job/business, I do require that any dogs coming to stay with us are crate trained and that their crate is brought with them. This not only allows for a smooth and stress-free stay, but provides your dog with a familiar safe space in a new environment. Because I am a small business owner, I have a very flexible schedule that can change depending on the needs of my clients - whether that’s in a drop-in, walk, or boarding service. Our canine clients often spend the day with my at my storefront, then come hone with me in the evenings to hang out until bedtime. Depending on the dog and the preferences of the owner, they may also participate in group classes as a demo dog to help show the exercises being taught. I am currently living in an apartment that opens outside to a large yard. Dogs are kept on a long line, unless otherwise specified by their owner that they are able to be reliably off leash. Even with owner permission, I typically avoid any off leash time that could potentially lead to the dog escaping or getting injured. I also have a very structured system in my home, where I introduce dogs through a parallel pack walk before letting them interact either indoors or outdoors. I also spend a significant amount of time working on calm and impulse control, and avoid letting pets in my home get overly excited.

About: I have been a pet parent all of my life. I grew up on a farm with every sort of animal. My parents bred Dachshunds and American Eskimos. Currently, I am mom to a rescued Frenchie girl with a heart murmur. She has a Grade 3 of 6 heart murmur which makes me especially familiar with special needs animals. About: I have taken care of many pets since I’m a child, so I’m very experienced and love to stay with them. I would love to provide the same care to your pet. I’m home full time, so I can care for the dogs according to your schedule based on their daily routine. I can keep them like home. I’m serious about keeping them safe and healthy, so I’ll watch them full time whenever they’re having meals, take rests or interacting with each other.
About: Over 30 years of being a cat Mom, while also looking after cats for family and friends in their homes. I have experience giving medications, pills and injections. Litter boxes don’t scare me one bit! I know how to bathe a cat in 20 minutes with low stress for the cat and next to no scratches for me. I also know how to groom cats, and can do nail trims. I have a number of different techniques to play with the kitties. I love animals, especially cats, and totally understand cats, their moods and a cat’s cantankerous ways. I once had a golden retriever who was my kid for 12 years. Lovely dog. She crossed rainbow bridge in 2014, gone but not forgotten. Currently attending post secondary school online 9am to 1pm Monday to Friday, but available for your furry family member the rest of the time. I can come and visit your pet up to twice a day if needed. I do not sleep over in your home. I do not do visits/walks outside the KW area. For dog walking, here is my usual routine. I enter the door say hello to the pet, grab their leash, poop bags, and then prepare the pet for their walk. Put on clothes or boots if needed, collar and leash, then off we go!
