“I had a wonderful experience with Adam walking my husky mix while I was away recently. My dog is very large, and can be a bit reactive, but Adam was amazing with him. It is clear that he takes so much joy out of the time he spends with the animals and providing them with the best care. I got a message each day, letting me know how the walk went and how my boy was doing, which I really appreciated. It was my first time hiring a walker and it couldn't have gone better. I will absolutely be using Adam next time I have to be away.”

“Alex showed up on time and was polite and friendly for Links walk. He took him for a super nice walk and we got lots of photos. Would definitely book him again when I’m in need of a walk!”

“Linnea was fast to respond, coordinate a time with me and showed up on time to walk Link. She took him out for an hour and he had a great time and came home safe. I appreciated the pictures she sent too. Would book her for a dog walk again in the future!”

“Jennifer has been great with my dog, Dargo is always happy to see her for their weekday walks. She has been very accommodating with my sometimes chaotic work/travel schedule. Thanks for the great service!”

“Elle was great with my dog Lumos! She arrived on time, took him for a nice walk, and played with him in the backyard. She also updated me with many photos and videos! Would definitely recommend.”

“Shannon took wonderful care of Mya and Teddy while we were away! Her photo updates and daily reports of my furbabies completely set my mind at ease. She went above and beyond with walks, fresh water, grooming, and lots of cuddles. I highly recommend her and will absolutely book her again.”

“I highly recommend Dave!! Dave exceeded our expectations and we are so happy we have found him. Dave provided dog walking for our black lab Lucy while I was out of town and my partner was not home during the day to walk her himself. I appreciated how easy Dave made this process and looked forward to receiving updates and pictures post walk. Lucy looked incredibly happy and adored her time with Dave. We will 100% book with Dave again in the future and I encourage anyone else debating to as well!”

About: I have a lot of experience taking care of different animals throughout my life, raised my mom's puppy (the poodle you can see in some of my pictures) and I've taken care of my best friends cat ever since I was 7/8 years old and I've always loved all animals. I'm happy to go for really long walks and play with animals for as much as they need. I'm currently between jobs so I have plenty of time to take care of any pet that needs love and attention, and if I do find a job I'll still have plenty of time to take care of your pets as I love beeing outdoors and going on walks :) I will always be available to play and walk with your pet (if it is a pet that needs walks). I'll make sure your pet gets the care and love they deserve :)
“Leia seemed to like Behnaz. She was friendly and accommodating. I felt safe that she would know how to care for Leia if something happened. If/when I need help again to look after my fur babies, I won’t hesitate to contact her again .”

“I’ve only had Sarah booked for one walk so far, but she’s been awesome! She agreed to do a meet and greet with us to meet our pup and visit our building. She took photos and sent updates during the walk. We plan to continue booking with Sarah!”

About: FIRST TIME BOOKING WITH ROVER? RECEIVE $20 OFF WITH MY CODE: KIRAO92445 I love being around animals. I have had many cats all my life and now I have a Husky named Aurora who is an absolute joy to care for . I have a 3 story townhouse with lots of space for playing and a fenced in yard with space to run and have unlimited potty breaks! Aurora loves other dogs and is not aggressive at all(she's not spayed). I am available around the clock to keep an eye on your furbabies and/or have a vehicle to visit your home for walks and anything else your pet needs. My cats keep to themselves but do not appreciate being chased, I can arrange to keep them in a separate room if need be. I can't wait to hear about all your little cuties and arrange for a time to meet you and them! I am a hairstylist working from home, I work part time as a beauty advisor and hangout with pets with the rest of my free time :) Because I have a fenced yard I can offer many potty breaks if needed and Aurora is available all day to play and tire your pup out! If your pup needs a lot of walks, I can also provide that no problem whatsoever.
“Andrea has been excellent to work with. This is the first time I have used this site so I wasn’t sure what to expect. Andrea is kind, reliable, and has communicated very well throughout the process. She is reliable, arrived at my home on time, and took my dog on her first walk today, and even sent an update picture while on their walk (which was a nice surprise). Highly recommend!”

“I had the BEST first experience with Sarah walking my pug! From the moment she arrived, her energy was so warm and positive it instantly put both me and my dog at ease. My pug can be a little picky, but he absolutely loved her right away! When they came back from their walk, he was happy, relaxed, and clearly well taken care of. You can tell Sarah genuinely loves what she does, and it shows in every little detail. For a first walk, I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. I’m honestly so excited to have found her highly, highly recommend Sarah”
About: Hello! My name is Olivia, and I am an experienced dog owner who runs my own training, grooming and pet care business in New Hamburg called Canine Community Corner. We offer a wide variety of services, such as boarding, walking, drop in visits, bath and brush, and nail trim services. We also carry a wide variety of pet care products in our storefront, most of which are made by other local small businesses. In my home, I have 2 dogs and a cat. In the past I have also had a bearded dragon, a chameleon, hamster, rats, and mice, so I am experienced with a wide range of animals. During their stay with us, your pet will receive flexible 5 star care, depending on their needs and preferences. My dogs and I are avid hikers, and often spend our free time out on walks through the forest. If your dog prefers to stay home, we are also able to provide a calm and quiet environment for the duration of their stay. I also have a wide variety of actives they can do at my facility in the case of bad weather, including a treadmill, obstacle training, and scent work activities. My goal and belief as a pet professional is that services should be catered to each specific client, and not a one size fits all model. Because of the size of our living space and the nature of my job/business, I do require that any dogs coming to stay with us are crate trained and that their crate is brought with them. This not only allows for a smooth and stress-free stay, but provides your dog with a familiar safe space in a new environment. If your dog has any sort of separation anxiety, please let me know beforehand so I can plan accordingly. Feel free to message me with questions at any time! Because I am a small business owner, I have a very flexible schedule that can change depending on the needs of my clients - whether that’s in a drop-in, walk, or boarding service. Our canine clients often spend the day with my at my storefront, then come hone with me in the evenings to hang out until bedtime. Depending on the dog and the preferences of the owner, they may also participate in group classes as a demo dog to help show the exercises being taught. I am currently living in an apartment that opens outside to a large yard. Dogs are kept on a long line, unless otherwise specified by their owner that they are able to be reliably off leash. Even with owner permission, I typically avoid any off leash time that could potentially lead to the dog escaping or getting injured. I also have a very structured system in my home, where I introduce dogs through a parallel pack walk before letting them interact either indoors or outdoors. I also spend a significant amount of time working on calm and impulse control, and avoid letting pets in my home get overly excited.

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Waterloo
Was very impressed…punctual and very excited to take the pooches on their walks. Sent pics and was told she had no issues on the walks. Always get worried when someone new is with the dogs. How will they act with her? They were very good she said. Highly recommend and will be using Linnea again. Thank you

Andrea has been excellent to work with. Highly recommend!

Wei-Chien was punctual, reliable, and a great communicator. She walked our puppy twice a day when we were not able to be home, and I felt great peace of mind knowing our puppy was in good hands and getting the attention he needed. I appreciated the pictures she took and the updates along the way, and how she asked questions to clarify our preferences. Thank you so much Wei-Chien!

Jayson was wonderful to work with. I hired him to walk my dog while I was out of town on business, and from the start, he was responsive, professional, and easy to communicate with. His prompt replies and clear communication gave me confidence that my dog was in good hands. While I was away, Jayson sent regular text updates and photos, which provided great peace of mind. Knowing how my dog was doing each day made it much easier to focus on my trip without worrying. I truly appreciated his reliability, consistency, and thoughtful updates throughout my time away. I would not hesitate to recommend Jayson to anyone looking for a dependable and caring dog walker. His excellent service made all the difference, and I was able to travel knowing my dog was well cared for.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Waterloo choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
Yes, you can find walkers who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. On Rover:

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
