I work from home and with no family around, so your pet would become my best friend. I work from home and do lots of walking everyday, so all the pet's need can be taken care of nicely. I take at least two walks everyday, stay the rest of time at home working, that's why I'm capable of pet care. And most importantly, I love pets. I can care the pets in the way he was cared at home. I have a cat and lots of energy to take the dog on a walk, and the flexibility to meet the dog's need.

“Jayson was wonderful to work with. I hired him to walk my dog while I was out of town on business, and from the start, he was responsive, professional, and easy to communicate with. His prompt replies and clear communication gave me confidence that my dog was in good hands. While I was away, Jayson sent regular text updates and photos, which provided great peace of mind. Knowing how my dog was doing each day made it much easier to focus on my trip without worrying. I truly appreciated his reliability, consistency, and thoughtful updates throughout my time away. “Alex has been absolutely great with our 7 year old pit heeler, Moon. Normally, Moon takes awhile to warm up to strangers, but with Alex, there was a bond from Day 1. Alex is fantastic: reliable and on time - rain, snow or shine, courteous and goes above and beyond in their daily 1 hour walks. So happy to find you, Alex! Many thanks to you, from Moon’s family! ❤️”

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Waterloo choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
