About: Welcome to your first step in learning about someone who has a passion for every animal species on this planet, especially dogs and cats! I love to indulge in other people's pets whenever I can!! Everyone has a hobby, right? I come with the ability to empathize with and nurture animals like they are my own children so I can promise you that your "fur babies" will be well taken care of every step of the way. I have experience with younger and older cats and dogs, and LOVE taking them out for walks or just cuddling with some Netflix. I'm an extremely humble person and have a huge heart for animals, especially being from an Environmental Program. To top my profile off, I am very experienced in fostering dogs! I am used to all behaviours, breeds and ages as well as what it takes to ACTUALLY care for an animal. If you have any more questions, please don't hesitate to ask! Currently, I am available 7 days a week! I am able to walk/care for your pet in the wee hours of the morning, after work and of course, cuddled up in my bed overnight. I am a very quiet person with an immense respect for pet parents and their homes. That being said, if your pet has anxiety or any trust issues with men, women, other animals or loud noises, rest assured, they are 100% safe in your home and on the streets from all of those things.

Lauryn is a total gem. Our dog loved her instantly, which made me feel at ease. Lauryn was professional and kind during our meet and greet, and confident with our girl who is a high-energy, leash-reactive GSD mix. We came home to a happy, sleepy pup. I definitely recommend Lauryn.

About: I have lots of experience caring for and training cats and dogs. My love for animals is what brought me here. Nothing makes me happier than earning a pet's trust and making them feel safe, loved, and cared for. I am patient, responsible, and detail-oriented. I have learned basic pet health and nutrition principles, which helps me pay close attention to each pet’s routine, diet, comfort, and individual needs. My goal is to provide calm, safe, and personalized care so every pet feels secure, comfortable, and well cared for while in my care. I enjoy teaching practical commands and fun tricks, and have successfully worked with pets of different personalities and energy levels. I am especially good at understanding animals through non-verbal communication, body language, and behavior. I am home throughout the day, so pet care can be my main priority. I am able to plan my daily schedule around each pet’s needs, including feeding, walks, playtime, rest, training, and attention. I take pet safety and comfort very seriously. I always make sure the environment is clean, safe, and suitable for the pet, including proper temperature, humidity, and enough space for rest and play. I follow each owner’s instructions carefully, including feeding routines, exercise needs, medications if needed, and any special habits or preferences. I also make sure pets have enough food, water, entertainment, and attention throughout the day. My goal is to keep every pet calm, comfortable, healthy, and safe while they are in my care.

About: FIRST TIME BOOKING WITH ROVER? RECEIVE $20 OFF WITH MY CODE: KIRAO92445 I love being around animals. I have had many cats all my life and now I have a Husky named Aurora who is an absolute joy to care for . I have a 3 story townhouse with lots of space for playing and a fenced in yard with space to run and have unlimited potty breaks! Aurora loves other dogs and is not aggressive at all(she's not spayed). I am available around the clock to keep an eye on your furbabies and/or have a vehicle to visit your home for walks and anything else your pet needs. My cats keep to themselves but do not appreciate being chased, I can arrange to keep them in a separate room if need be. I can't wait to hear about all your little cuties and arrange for a time to meet you and them! I am a hairstylist working from home, I work part time as a beauty advisor and hangout with pets with the rest of my free time :) Because I have a fenced yard I can offer many potty breaks if needed and Aurora is available all day to play and tire your pup out! If your pup needs a lot of walks, I can also provide that no problem whatsoever.

About: If the dogs or cats want to take my chair or bed, I the type of person who would sit or sleep somewhere else. As a former researcher, I would always try to understand animals behavior in a scientific way, and of course in a loving way. I love a clean and tidy space. I work from home and with no family around, so your pet would become my best friend. I work from home and do lots of walking everyday, so all the pet's need can be taken care of nicely. I take at least two walks everyday, stay the rest of time at home working, that's why I'm capable of pet care. And most importantly, I love pets. I can care the pets in the way he was cared at home. I have a cat and lots of energy to take the dog on a walk, and the flexibility to meet the dog's need.

About: Over 30 years of being a cat Mom, while also looking after cats for family and friends in their homes. I have experience giving medications, pills and injections. Litter boxes don’t scare me one bit! I know how to bathe a cat in 20 minutes with low stress for the cat and next to no scratches for me. I also know how to groom cats, and can do nail trims. I have a number of different techniques to play with the kitties. I love animals, especially cats, and totally understand cats, their moods and a cat’s cantankerous ways. I once had a golden retriever who was my kid for 12 years. Lovely dog. She crossed rainbow bridge in 2014, gone but not forgotten. Currently unemployed, seeking part time work, so that I will still have time to do this occasional job as well. I will be starting post secondary studies in the next few months, classroom time is 4 hours per day, leaving time for me to come and visit/walk your pet. I can come and visit your pet up to twice a day if needed. I do not sleep over in your home. I do not do visits/walks outside the KW area. For dog walking, here is my usual routine. I enter the door say hello to the pet, grab their leash, poop bags, and then prepare the pet for their walk. Put on clothes or boots if needed, collar and leash, then off we go!

Group walks are a good fit for social dogs who enjoy structured walks. If your dog prefers the energy of a group stroll, ask your dog walker about group walks in Waterloo. Since all dog walkers are local, they may have a neighbourhood dog who is a good walking companion to yours.

Tip: Keep in mind that many cities in Canada require your dog walker to have a permit or licence for group walks.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Waterloo choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

Yes, you can find walkers who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. On Rover:

  • 80% of walkers can help with special care needs
  • 98% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 98% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
