“Nick has been a regular Rover for us for almost two months now. It’s worth leaving him another good review to vouch for such a great care he gives to my best paw-friend. He’s quality standards in caring for my dog has been sustained over time and this is much appreciated.”

“We had a great experience with Ethan! He was very friendly and made us feel comfortable right away. Finlee (our Staffy mix) absolutely loved him — I haven’t seen her smile that big in a while. She was always so excited to see him, and he did a great job getting her nice and tired. He really takes the time to understand her personality and needs, which makes us feel safe and confident leaving her in his care. We’re definitely looking forward to booking more walks and dog sitting with him! We would recommend Ethan to anyone looking for services. Thank you again Ethan!”

About: I’ve cared for pets of many different species from large and small dogs to cats, bunnies, and fish since I was 10 years old. Because of this, I'm comfortable with handling different temperaments, routines, and specialized care needs! While I love pets of all shapes and sizes, I have more experience with larger breeds, but I thrive with low to medium energy dogs. That said, I grew up with a Doberman, a Belgian Malinois, and a French Mastiff. I am very familiar with both high-drive breeds and gentle giants. I actually formed the strongest bond with my French Mastiff over our shared love of sleeping! As I’m not in school at the moment I currently have an open and highly flexible schedule, I can adapt to your pet's routine and needs. My main commitment outside of pet sitting is caring for my own pets at home, my cat and three bunnies! Because my time is so flexible, I can offer dedicated time, attentive care, and flexible drop-in or sitting hours. I prioritize communication, safety, and respect for your home! I’ll send frequent photo and video updates so you know your pet is thriving. Before any booking, I make sure to write down all key details, including your pet's routine, feeding instructions, emergency contacts, and household rules so everything runs smoothly!
“Yvonne was great with our pup! She was kind enough to come meet him before our booking, and establish comfort. She provided pictures during our drop in. Highly recommend!”

“Morgan is a wonderful woman and Viv absolutely adores her. She is professional and very thorough in her care for her clients, and its so obvious how much she cares for our girl even after just a few days. Couldn't have asked for a better experience, thank you Morgan.”

“Riley is Tango’s new favourite person 💕 Tango can be quite nervous meeting new people but she instantly loved Riley the moment they met. I really appreciate how attentive and thoughtful she was throughout the entire experience. One of my favourite parts was all the pictures she took - seeing Tango happily enjoying her walk meant so much to me. It’s clear that Riley genuinely cares about the dogs she works with and goes the extra mile to keep owners updated. She was right on time, very communicative, and has a great energy about her. I’ll absolutely continue to use her as my #1 dog walker! Thank you Riley - see you again soon!”

“Paige is the sweetest and most consistent dog walker I've had. She always shows up rain or shine and is so gentle and patient with my 15 year old dog. I never worry about Tesla getting her medicine properly. Highly recommend this dog walker!”

About: I’ve grown up with dogs for the past 8 years, so caring for them has always been a big part of my life. I started dog sitting for friends and family in high school and still regularly look after dogs today. I’m comfortable with dogs of different sizes, ages, and personalities, and I understand that every dog has their own routine and needs. Whether it’s going for walks, playing, feeding, or just hanging out and keeping them company, I make sure they get plenty of attention and feel comfortable while their owners are away. I’m reliable, patient, and genuinely enjoy spending time with dogs. My goal is to make sure you can leave knowing your dog is in good hands and getting the same care and attention they’re used to at home. I work as a teacher during the week, so I’m typically available after 4:00 PM Monday through Thursday and after 4:30 PM on Fridays. I’m home most Friday nights and usually have plenty of availability on weekends, which gives me lots of time for walks, playtime, and keeping your dog company. My schedule can change from time to time, so I’ll always keep my Rover availability updated so you know when I’m free! I want every dog I care for to feel comfortable and at home. I have a fully fenced backyard with lots of space to run around, play, and get some fresh air. I also have an extra dog bed, toys, and treats available to help them settle in and enjoy their stay. When caring for a dog in their own home, I’m happy to follow their normal routine as closely as possible, including feeding times, walks, playtime, and any specific instructions you provide. I know every dog is different, so I’m always happy to adjust based on what makes them happiest and most comfortable.
“Title: Pawsitively Wonderful Dog Walker! I couldn't be happier with the dog walking services provided by Arjun. Arjun is not just a dog walker; he is a dog enthusiast. His genuine love for animals shines through in every interaction, creating a positive and joyful experience for my pet. It's evident he prioritizes the well-being and happiness of the dogs in his care. Communication is seamless, and I appreciate the regular updates and cute snapshots sent during walks. It's evident that Arjun goes the extra mile to ensure not only physical exercise but also mental stimulation for Casper(our dog).”

I currently have my own 8-month-old pup, which means I’m actively navigating puppy energy, training, and socialization firsthand. Since I work from home, I’m around throughout the day and can easily fit walks, feeding, and playtime into my schedule. I keep a consistent daily routine, so your pet would fit right in. We know how important it is to find someone you trust with your dog — someone who will treat them like family. That’s exactly the kind of care we offer. You can rest assured your pet will be well taken care of, safe, and having a fantastic time! We specialize in small dog sitting in our home in Dundas and offer dog walking for dogs of all sizes. Our cozy detached home is in a quiet, dog-friendly neighborhood and features a fully fenced yard, perfect for playtime and relaxing outdoor time. Jenn is available for weekday walks or drop ins, and we offer dog sitting at our home (just check our availability!). When we’re sitting, we only welcome one dog at a time to ensure your pup gets plenty of attention and one-on-one care. We also provide walks every two hours to keep them happy and active. Safety is always our top priority. We always do a meet & greet before every stay to make sure your dog is comfortable with us, our kids, and our home. Our dog Berkley has passed away after a long and happy life, so there are no other dogs in the household currently. Dogs are always leashed on walks outside our fenced yard, and we’ll follow any care instructions you provide — down to the last detail. If you have any questions, feel free to reach out — we’re happy to chat! 🦮 New to Rover? Let us know and you can get $20 off your first booking. We look forward to meeting you and your pup! Jenn is currently a stay at home mom, with kids in school and has availability from 9am - 3pm and some evenings during the week for dog walking or visits. We’re also available evenings and weekends for dog boarding. Depending on her availability, and your needs we’ll work together to find a suitable time - whether you need to cover off a vacation, or a regular daily walk. We place a strong emphasis on safety for your dog, ensuring that they will be comfortable and well cared or during our walks, visits or boarding. For first time clients, we will arrange a meet and greet so we can meet your dog and get a feel for their personality and comfort level. Daily updates and photos will be provided so that you have peace of mind.

“So this was my first meeting with Adriana. She was so sweet and patience with khan. It was a meet and greet and I think it went very well. She respected his safe and wasn't even nervous! ( which is huge as khan can be pretty intimating). Looking forward to trusting her with my pup this coming weekend”

About: Hi there! My name is Laura; it is nice to e-meet you. I would love to be your trusted and passionate pet sitter I have had a strong love for animals for as long as I can remember. Despite not growing up with or currently owning any due to my family’s allergies, I have always felt a strong connection to animals. Luckily, many of my friends have pets that I graciously look forward to being around; in fact, when I am visiting someone who has a pet, I have to be mindful not to get carried away and inadvertently provide them with more of my attention (whoops!). I have pet-sat for various friends and loved ones over the past 6 years, and I have experience with various breeds and sizes of dogs, cats, reptiles, and more! Whilst pet-sitting is an immense joy, it is also a privilege and a major responsibility that I strive to take seriously. I am responsible, attentive to detail, and communicative, and strive to ensure that I provide you and your furry friend with high-quality care. NOTE: I currently work in mental health in a private practice setting; whilst my schedule is very flexible, I don't work set hours, so please message me in advance so I can confirm whether I am available. :) If you have any questions/ concerns, or think I may be the right fit for you, don’t hesitate to reach out. I am looking forward to connecting with you and your fur baby(ies)! I love to go on walks and become immersed in nature, and I'd love to take your furry friend along with me for the journey! Additionally, because I work from home or conduct my work virtually many days, my schedule is highly flexible. I am highly respectful of boundaries; I understand that I am a new human that your furry friend is adjusting to, and that every animal is different. You are the expert of your pet; I am simply there to learn about them and what I need to do to ensure their comfort and yours.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Ancaster choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
Yes, you can find walkers who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
