About: I’ve been obsessed with dogs for my entire life. Most of my experience comes from raising my two dogs I had growing up. One of whom lived to be 16 with many health issues - including administering medication, carrying him due to limited mobility, and supporting him during seizures. I’ve worked as a dog sitter, boarding dogs in my home (to both friends and strangers), as well as doing regular check ins for acquaintances pets while they were away. This always includes a walk or two, feeding and watering, lots of cuddles and affection, whatever grooming may be required. I am currently a Masters of Science in Education student, hoping to become an Elementary teacher. I’m looking for some opportunities to care for some pets while I finish my studies. My program is completely remote, which allows me to be at home with your pet for the whole day. I go for regular walks and rarely go away on weekends. I live in a residential neighbourhood with a fenced in yard. I love to spend time outside and walk to Gage park or down by the waterfront. I have two cats who are about 9 years old, and are quite used to dogs being around. They prefer to mind their own business and don’t interact much with dogs in the house.
About: I’ve cared for both dogs and cats of different personalities and understand they have very unique needs. As a pet owner myself, I want to keep pets comfortable, active and loved while you are away. I’m patient, attentive and happy to follow your pet’s routine to make them feel at home! Currently working part time, have a flexible schedule for pet care through out the week. Plenty of time to provide walks, playtime, feeding and lots of attention! I carefully follow feeding schedules, exercise routines and any special instructions. Make sure they have a clean, calm environment while receiving plenty of attention, affection and regular updates!
“Dylan was amazing! He went above and beyond take care of our dogs while we were on holiday! He stayed in communication with us and sent us pictures daily ! Would highly recommended! And next time we are out on holiday we are for sure rebooking with him !”

About: Hi there, my name is Dokyung but I go by Chloe. I understand that finding a sitter online could be a daunting task. So I strive to be as communicative and transparent as possible about and during my service. Please feel free to reach out if you have any questions or concerns! To briefly describe my experience, I grew up with dogs of all sizes, from chihuahuas (they were a little crazy but I loved them dearly) to golden retrievers, since my parents often fostered dogs. Years of living with dogs of various sizes and personalities taught me to read body language closely, and I will bring that same attentiveness to every walk and play session with your pet. I’m also happy to help out with training during your pet’s stay, as I have experience clicker-training family dogs and also my own cat :) I work from home with flexible hours, so it's easy to fit pet care into my day alongside my own cat’s care routine. Please let me know if your pet has any specific needs. I’ll make that part of our routine! Cats boarding in my home get their own dedicated space until they're ready to explore and meet Nuri (my cat) on their own terms. Dogs will have the run of the place if they get along right away with Nuri, or mainly have the living room space if slow introduction is needed, with 4 regular walks throughout the day. All pets are welcome on any furniture. During drop-in visits, I'm happy to give them my full, undivided attention for the entire visit (if they want it, that is). I often bring my own treats and toys to play with them, if you would allow it.

“Sandy is the best walker we’ve ever had!! She’s so good with our high energy, crazy golden boy and I know he loves her too. Sandy has been easy to trust since the start and has always been super responsive. Cannot recommend her enough!”

“Title: Pawsitively Wonderful Dog Walker! I couldn't be happier with the dog walking services provided by Arjun. Arjun is not just a dog walker; he is a dog enthusiast. His genuine love for animals shines through in every interaction, creating a positive and joyful experience for my pet. It's evident he prioritizes the well-being and happiness of the dogs in his care. Communication is seamless, and I appreciate the regular updates and cute snapshots sent during walks. It's evident that Arjun goes the extra mile to ensure not only physical exercise but also mental stimulation for Casper(our dog).”

About: I've had the opportunity to care for several dogs over the years, and have enjoyed welcoming friends' pets into my home. Since the passing of my own dog, I have started pet-sitting casually for friends, and am now seeking to widen my client base. I am conscientious and seek to get to know each dog's unique personality and needs. I'm currently available all day to care for your pet. I have flexible pickup and drop-off hours. I can provide multiple walks per day and frequent bathroom breaks. I have a fully fenced backyard, and live in a bright, open house with plenty of space for play and rest. Note that I live on the second level of a house with stairs only access - dogs must be able to do the stairs to come in and out!
“Miranda has been walking my dog, Stanley, for a little while now and she has been nothing short of incredibly responsible, conscientious and reliable. I would absolutely recommend Miranda to any dog owner.”

“Cat is so great with Dolly! Dolly was very nervous the first couple of times Cat came to walk her but Cat was so kind and consistent that now Dolly is happy to go with her. We are so grateful for Cat's persistent and warmth with Dolly!!”

About: I have had cats and dogs my whole life. I still currently have a beautiful cat but I had to leave my 3 dogs behind when I left my fiance (golden retriever, black lab and beagle/lab mix) and I miss them fiercely. Looking to help some people out and get my visits with the cats and dogs especially <3 I am a single female and I work full time at McMaster children's hospital as a pharmacy technician. I work a type of continental shift rotation that I am hoping to make some extra money on the side on my days off. (One week I am typically off Wednesdays and Thursdays amd the 2nd week I ONLY WORK on the wednesday and Thursday. Offer is for dropping into your home for relief for your pets including bathroom and play breaks. Things will be thoroughly discussed and agreed to before service.

Cameron was our first experience with a dog walker and I must say he set the bar high. He was quick to respond and very communicative. As he was a new person to our dog she was hesitant at first but took to walking with him very quickly. He was kind and enthusiastic with Bucky and made her feel right at home. We will definitely be using him again!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Hamilton choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
Yes, you can find walkers who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. On Rover:

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
