I live in a smaller space, 720 sq ft. I have a living and kitchen area connected but otherwise I close the doors to the bedroom, office and bathroom while I'm away. If necessary I can also crate. I have a small front yard with a patch of grass, however the fence is not secure for dogs who wander away or with poor recall. I will always accompany your pet outside and will use a leash unless proven unecessary. Please see special note below.

**SPECIAL NOTE: For care within my home I can only accomodate small/medium dogs that are "hypo-allergenic" (low/no shed) dogs** Please let me know if your dog has any special needs or special preferences. Please also let me know if your dog is on flea and tick prevention.
A typical day
I live in a lovely neighbourhood that is very dog friendly. There is a trail behind my home (Tansley) and a big park. However I will always respond to your dog's needs and follow any directions you've left (i.e. to not take them to a trail or park). Every bathroom break is at least a little walk when they stay with me.

Hi! My name is Kat and I have been caring for dogs since I was 10 yrs old. Both with my family's dog and those of neighbours and friends. Dog care has always come naturally to me and I have always been interested. I have also trained dogs in the past for friends and family. I rescued a senior dog a few years ago and am sensitive to their care as well (he has since passed away). Loving and caring for my dog Brody is what brought me to Rover, inspiring me to offer care for other pet owners in need. I am responsible, reliable, considerate and full of love to give. Kathleen made Lucy feel so at home! I really appreciated doing a meet and greet with her so that when I dropped Lucy off, she ran right over to her. Kathleen asked all the right questions to make sure Lucy felt comfortable throughout the weekend. Lucy loved her time with her and I loved knowing how cared for Lucy was ❤️
