When your dog or cat is boarding wirh me, they will be treated as if they are my own. Walks, backyard time, cuddles, brushing, naps, play with toys or fetch and engagement with the other dogs.

My yard is fully fenced and secure. My patio door goes to the deck and yard. I only walk them in my neighborhood and never on the busy roads. If I have permission, I do take some regulars in the car or the park. When I need to leave the house, dogs can be separated into rooms or crated in their crates. I only occasionally ever have to do this and leave them with full range of the house. However, if needed they can be separated.

For pet owners looking to board their pets in my home, I can only accept small dogs. I have awesome cats. I have vast experience with elderly dogs and medical care. They are my passion. We will discuss your dogs breed traits, quirks, special diets and so on ahead of time or at the meet and greet.
A typical day
When your pet is with me, we will engage with fun silly play time, have full run of my large secure fenced in yard, play fetch, engage with your dog's favourite toys. Many dogs enjoy checking out my cat(s). We will have walks in a very friendly dog-loving neighbourhood with weather permitting, casual nights on the couch, cuddles and whatever you directly ask of me that your pet enjoys or requires. In the summer time, I have a kiddie pool for your pets enjoyment and to cool off.

Pet care experience
I have 31 yrs of professional experience with dogs as it was my past career. (Supervisor at local Humane Society). I have fostered small dogs (mainly senior, ill or neglected) for two decades. I believe that pets are family and deserve utmost attention. My large backyard is fully fenced with a large maple tree and a deck with immediate access to the indoors. I have no issues with incontinent dogs and have experience with diabetic pets. Your pet will be part of my home and treated like it is my own. Your pet will be welcome on my couch and bed. I have a fantastic cat who is loves everything I bring into our home. Oliver is sweet, easy going and super dog savvy. I also carry a certificate in Pet First-Aid/CPR. Your pet can receive extra care if requested such as bathing, brushing, small trims such as around the eyes and nail trim. At this stage of my life, I am home most of the time aside from having a few clients who I walk for mid-day. My yard is very safe and well-fenced and live in a quiet neighborhood. *I do take in multiple dogs at a time so your dog will most likely have friends to play with. I only accept small dogs (under 20 lbs) that are excellent with other dogs and cats. I have a large clientele so most dogs have been regulars for a few years and the dogs all know each other.

Shelley recently took care of our dog for the first time for a weekend. Without being asked, she regularly provided us with text updates & photos. Knowing our dog was managing fine in Shelley's care & seeing photos of him interacting with other dogs also in her care put our mind at ease as we were a bit nervous leaving our fur baby. This allowed us to focus on co-hosting our daughter's wedding without worrying throughout the weekend. Shelley's well qualified to care for animals & I would highly recommend her to anyone. My husband & I plan to use her services again & are happy to recommend her to others. Shelley's definitely a keeper!

We had Shelley take our 2 dogs for a walk today. Gus is a rescue and is very nervous and does not take to new people easily...it is a slow warm-up. When he met Shelley for the first time, he sniffed her foot and his tail just started wagging!! He loved her. Their first walk with Shelley went really well. We have found the perfect dog sitter for our 2 dogs --and we are very grateful.
Shelley is the best pet sitter ever - I have a senior (18 year old dog) that requires a lot of care, and Shelley does a wonderful job every time. He gets lots of supervised play time in the backyard, lots of love, is well fed, and is always super clean when I pick him up. It eases a lot of stress knowing that my dog is so well taken care of when I am away, especially given his age!
