“Serenity did a great job. My Meko is quite fond of her. She has a great process for first time meeting. Is very good with following instructions and great at caring for my cat's well-being. Terrific job, would recommend.”

“Kristen was lovely to work with. Her communication was fantastic. We loved all real updates, she really went that extra mile to make sure our Cats were happy. We will 💯 work with Kristen again. Thank you so much”

“Jessica agreed to meet ahead of time to make sure she was comfortable with my dog Bailey and to learn the tips and tricks of the house. She showed up on time for both walks and sent me lots of pictures of Bailey during the day. I would recommend Jessica”

“Kayla is amazing! Nola is still learning to feel comfortable around new people, but Kayla has been so patient and wonderful with her. I feel completely at ease knowing Nola is in such good hands with her!”

“Jendra was my first experience using Rover and I have nothing but excellent things to say about her! She has amazing communication before and during the drop in visits on my kitties during our vacation. She sent tons of pictures and videos. Not only that, my elusive, shy kitty took quite a shine to her and she gave her lots of pets and attention. She did a fantastic job checking in on our beloved pets and I cannot recommend her enough!”

“Emma was great! She was available with very short notice and communicated throughout. I was in a bind and she saved the day. Highly recommend and will definitely use her in the future!”
“This was our first time using Rover and we were delighted to find Kiko, who was a deeply caring and conscientious cat sitter to our two cats for a week. We received photos and detailed updates after each drop in visit, and we could tell that the cats not only got fed, but got lots of attention as well. Everything was well in order in our home when we returned. I am sure the cats were disappointed to see us and not Kiko coming through the door. Would 100% recommend Kiko's services - very professional, kind, organized, and communicative.”

“Thank you Clarissa for coming to my aid Saturday morning when I needed to book a last minute service to check in on our 3 dogs because our first rover had ended and our flight got cancelled Saturday. We got home late on Sunday night. I will definitely use her services again for regular walking and check ins. Hopefully no more emergencies and only planned visits. Thanks again.”

“Michelle was wonderful and helped make our 10 days away much easier. Great feedback about how our cat was truly doing with pictures which were lovely to see. Michelle was reliable, conscientious and friendly towards our timid boy. Happy to hear they became friends :)”

“Taryn was quick to respond and easy to communicate with though the booking process. She was fantastic with our kitties and provided phenomenal care to our timid boys and medicated them as needed. We received updates with photos though rover cards which helped put our mind at ease as this was our first time away from them. We were so thankful to have someone so compassionate and attentive to detail look after our fur babies. Highly recommend!!”

“She was fantastic with my pup and my sisters dog! We had to take a last minute day trip and she was available to stop by our place and walk our dogs 4x. She was responsive, attentive and very good with our dogs. Thank you!”

About: Hey there, i’m a veterinary assistant certified dog lover and handler. I’ve been in the field for over 8 years as a supervisor at a dog daycare, professional bather and sales rep for diet and nutrition. I currently work for an all natural pet supplement company! I’ve done house and dog sitting during this time as well. I am very reliable and punctual. Im currently available on weekends. I can make an exception depending on the situation. Dog walks can be scheduled for after 6pm Monday to Friday. I have a nice two bedroom apartment. Regular walks are a must (if thats what the pup enjoys). Toys can be provided if none are brought with them, scheduled walks/routine will be maintained.
“Tess was reliable, communicative, and friendly. Our cat is usually really shy, but warmed up to Tess quickly, trusting that she’d provide lots of pets and wet food! Would book again and recommend to other pet owners :)”

About: I will make your pets feel like they are loved and feel at home, they will want to come and stay again and again after their first visit. I have a smoke and pet free home which can make you feel more at home leaving your furry family members to be cared for.
About: I have been taking care of dogs since I was 6 years old , I remember how scared I was when I met my first dog , his name was sultan and honestly he was the one who took care of me and after that my love for them just expanded and still every time I see a dog I fall in love them . I work part time so so you can leave your loved one with me at nights or afternoons and for mornings we can figure something out . Note - there will be an additional charge depending on the distance I have to travel to get to your house.(estimate $6-8 for short distances) I work part time , so I am mostly home I usually take a one dog at a time unless your pet is comfortable with other pets. Before we book I prefer doing a meet and greet where we can talk and arrange something that meets your needs. I currently don’t have any pets of my own here , but I have an immense love for animals especially dogs , I live in a townhouse with a back yard where we can play and we can visit the nearby parks or trails if that’s what you want for your loved one .

Im currently not working and am very flexible with lots of time to spend with your pooch / cat. Available Sunday - Saturday and will book days of that I will be busy. I respect any request or rules made by the dog parents when taking care of your dog or cat. I have my own car so we can go for walks around the neighbourhood or even go out to walk a trail.

Kendra was an amazing sitter!! She sent lots of pictures and updates with how my girl was doing the whole time she was there. I couldn’t have asked for a better sitter! I could tell Gigi really loved her by the pictures that she was sending me! Would recommend Kendra to anyone that needs a pet sitter and I will definitely be using Kendra again for when I need a sitter! 🥰

We couldn’t be happier with Serenity! She took such amazing care of Nala and Simba and made us feel completely at ease while we were away. She was so thoughtful with her updates and sent us lots of pictures and videos, which we absolutely loved and looked forward to every day. The most incredible part was seeing how comfortable Simba became with her. He is usually extremely shy and never comes out when we have visitors, but with Serenity, he came out, interacted with her, and even let her brush him! That alone says so much about how patient, gentle, and wonderful she is with cats. It was obvious that both Nala and Simba felt safe, happy, and loved with her, and that meant everything to us. We’re so grateful to have found someone we can trust so much with our babies. We would absolutely reach out to Serenity again whenever we need a sitter and wouldn’t hesitate to have her care for Nala and Simba. I would recommend her to anyone looking for someone who will truly care for their cats with love and attention. Thank you for everything, Serenity! 🐱🐱💕💛

Taryn was amazing with Holly and Maow. She was very confident in her abilities, which helped my nerves, and successfully gave Holly her inhaler. I also appreciate she was available on short notice and didn’t mind fitting in a meet-and-greet either. I will definitely book with Taryn again!

Michelle was wonderful and helped make our 10 days away much easier. Great feedback about how our cat was truly doing with pictures which were lovely to see. Michelle was reliable, conscientious and friendly towards our timid boy. Happy to hear they became friends :)

Samantha went above and beyond to give us total peace of mind during our vacation. Our situation was complex but Samantha made sure every single detail was handled flawlessly. She was exceptionally thorough, keeping us updated with communication, pictures, and reassurance throughout our entire trip. She managed everything perfectly—from administering meds and food tracking to handling tricky schedules and routines for the cats. When we returned home, both of our cats were completely happy and well cared for. Samantha was professional, reliable, and a very caring sitter. If you want absolute comfort knowing your furry family members are in the best hands, we cannot recommend her highly enough. We would have her back in a heartbeat, thank you Samantha!

Maddie is a gem!!! She was able to make last minute accommodations (coming later & earlier) & she was even able to add in a visit the same day which was so nice & we weren’t expecting it at all since she is a busy woman!!! She helped us out tremendously & of course, our babies were beyond thrilled! More time with her meant more fun, snuggles & all around happiness!!!☀️💕💛

This was our second time returning to Michelle as our preferred sitter for our cats. She was just as amazing as the first time. Michelle's multiple photos and frequent updates on their behaviour gave us a lot of comfort and confidence in her ability to watch our cats. We highly recommend Michelle as a sitter / watcher for your pets. Thank you again, Michelle

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. On Rover:
- 82% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 94% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 97% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
