“Connor has been absolutely amazing with Lizzie during her recovery. She’s 8 weeks post-surgery, and he follows every walking instruction carefully and consistently. He has a steady, calm way about him that keeps Lizzie from getting over-excited — exactly what she needs right now. We trust him completely. He’s reliable, gentle, and truly cares about her progress. I’m so grateful for the peace of mind he gives us on every walk. Highly recommend!”

“You can see how much Serenity loves animals! She took such good care of my dog and gave me frequent updates! Not just a walk, but also playtime and belly scratches. I would definitely use Serenity again.”

“Emma is great with our puppy! We come home to a happy, well-exercised (mentally and physically) pup at the end of our days and couldn’t be happier. Emma is great with communication and sends me great photos which really make my day! Our pups love her, and we love the peace of mind her visits provide.”

About: I have 5+ years of hands on pet care experience and treat every dog like they were my own. I prioritize structure, consistency, and calm care, and I pay close attention to each dog’s needs, especially when they’re settling in. I love keeping dogs’ minds sharp with fun trick training and scent games, in addition to running around and playing outside. My beagle, Mylo, is very warm and friendly. If your dog is comfortable, Mylo will happily play and interact with them, and if they prefer to lounge, we’ll relax together. Your dog will have plenty of downtime, and all interactions are closely monitored so they feel safe and comfortable. They will never be left alone, and I’ll proactively communicate with you throughout their stay. I work from home, so I can give dogs plenty of attention. I take two long walks each day in the morning and evening, and have time during the day for short walks, play, and potty breaks. I provide a safe, loving environment with plenty of attention, structured walks, rest, and lots of in house play. While my yard is unfenced, I use a long leash with a stake so dogs can safely enjoy some backyard play if they like. My schedule is flexible, so I can adapt to each pet’s needs. I follow the same routine and instructions the owner provides, ensuring their pet’s comfort, exercise, meals, and supervision are consistent with their usual routine.
“I know my dog is in good hands with Kendra when I am gone for the work day. Kendra is always on time and is quick to respond to my messages. We seriously appreciate her and are so happy that our dog loves her!”

About: What sets me apart is my versatility. Whether you need help training a new puppy or providing companionship and care for a senior pet, I'm here to assist. My adaptability ensures that I can meet the unique needs of each furry friend, making their time with me enjoyable and beneficial. Pet care fits seamlessly into my schedule. With my part-time work, I have ample availability to dedicate quality time to your furry companions. I prioritize their needs, ensuring they receive attention, exercise, and companionship. Weekends are perfect for boarding, while weekdays after 2 pm are reserved for walks, playtime, and whatever else your pets require to thrive. In my home, I create a safe and comfortable environment for pets, providing them with designated spaces for rest, play, and meals. I follow any dietary restrictions and medication schedules diligently. For client's homes, I adapt to their routines, maintaining consistency with feeding times, exercise regimens, and any specific care instructions provided. Whether in my home or theirs, I prioritize the well-being and happiness of each pet entrusted to my care.
About: Growing up in a home full of pets—from dogs and budgies to hamsters and fish—animals have always been a central part of my life. What truly sets me apart is a blend of specialized care experience and professional reliability. For several years, I ran my own local dog walking and pet sitting business in my community, caring for neighbors' dogs multiple days a week. Through this, I became highly adept at managing real-world challenges, including stimulating picky eaters and safely navigating walks with dogs who can be reactive or misbehave around other animals. My background also includes extensive hands-on experience with specialized medical and training needs. I have owned and cared for dogs who were blind, diabetic, and on strict dietary restrictions. Additionally, I raised a future dog guide, successfully guiding her through foundational socialization and obedience training. Whether your pet is an energetic puppy learning the ropes, a senior dog requiring a patient routine, or a unique companion who needs a vigilant handler and a bit of extra patience, I bring the professional dedication and intuitive care they deserve. As a university student at home for the summer, pet care easily fits into my daily routine. I have plenty of time to dedicate to your pet—whether that means heading outside for long walks, playing indoors, or simply sitting nearby to keep them company so they never feel lonely! Safety and trust are my absolute top priorities. Because I do not have a fenced yard, I am very vigilant about leash safety, whether we are walking around the neighborhood or visiting a nearby open-space park. My background running a local pet care business and handling dogs who could be unpredictable around other animals means I am always scanning the environment and anticipating potential triggers. When caring for pets in your home, I respect your space entirely, closely follow your established safety routines, and ensure your home is secure before I leave. You can rest easy knowing your pet is with an experienced, attentive handler who understands exactly how to keep them safe, secure, and happy on every single outing.
“I appreciate she was able to walk my dog at the last minute because I had plan to go out of town. I am glad I found her on website. What I love about it, she take pictures of my dog and gave him water on the walk.”

“Taryn is amazing. She is absolutely wonderful with my dogs, she is extremely reliable, even on days where it’s a snow storm. She always goes the extra mile, takes the best pictures and is a welcome addition to our family”

“If you're looking for someone who is not only trustworthy but also a true dog lover, I highly recommend Alex. She’s reliable and professional, which has been a huge relief for me as a pet owner. Whether it’s rain or shine, I can always count on her to show up on time, and she never rushes through the walks. She tailors each outing based on my dog's energy level, and I can tell he gets a great workout while also having fun. She always provides updates and photos after each walk. We feel so lucky to have found her!”

About: I have been taking care of dogs since I was 6 years old , I remember how scared I was when I met my first dog , his name was sultan and honestly he was the one who took care of me and after that my love for them just expanded and still every time I see a dog I fall in love them . I work part time so so you can leave your loved one with me at nights or afternoons and for mornings we can figure something out . Note - there will be an additional charge depending on the distance I have to travel to get to your house.(estimate $6-8 for short distances) I work part time , so I am mostly home I usually take a one dog at a time unless your pet is comfortable with other pets. Before we book I prefer doing a meet and greet where we can talk and arrange something that meets your needs. I currently don’t have any pets of my own here , but I have an immense love for animals especially dogs , I live in a townhouse with a back yard where we can play and we can visit the nearby parks or trails if that’s what you want for your loved one .

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Cambridge
This was our first time using Rover for our dog Freddie! Kendra had amazing reviews which drew us to her. We met up with her prior to booking and Freddie loved her! Kendra has been very prompt with replies and sent updates from her walks. We look forward to having her walk Freddie on a regular basis.

I have two skeptical miniature Australian shepherds that Adam very quickly won over on their walks. He is reliable and very good with dogs. He clearly loves them and enjoys his work with them. I would recommend Adam to anyone looking for a good dog walker! I trust him with my dogs and coming and going from my home.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Cambridge choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
