About: I have been away from Rover for a little while but I have opened my profile to accepting new clients. We currently volunteer through Halfway Home K9 Rescue. We take in Foster Dogs and help them find homes. Our home has a fenced yard which is fully secure and a lot of room to play. There is a river 3 minutes away with tons of trails which I enjoy walking my dogs on! They would get all their needs met. I can accommodate special instructions. I also take other pets, I have babysat rats and rabbits before. My boys are welcoming and love to have a new friend to play with. I also have experience feeding raw as both my dogs eat raw so raw food is no problem for me! My home is a story and a half so there is some stairs in which I can accommodate if a dog can't do stairs. I look forward to meeting you! Thank you, Breanne I am available most weekends and during the week I can do drop in visits or walks after 4:30pm. If I am off I will update my calendar. I have a fenced yard and 2 well behaved and social dogs. I live in a home with carpeted stairs making it easier for dogs to go up and down them.
“Maddie was so wonderful! I had to book last minute, at holiday time no less, and she was amazing and easy to book with. My pup was home with my mother who has a hard time physically managing him and Maddy even helped towel him off from the snow. Rubble was so happy to see her every time!”

“Thank you so much for being patient with Zola while she adjusts to a new face and showing her love and care. I appreciate it so much as she is my pride and joy!”

“I know my dog is in good hands with Kendra when I am gone for the work day. Kendra is always on time and is quick to respond to my messages. We seriously appreciate her and are so happy that our dog loves her!”

“Tilley and Karen were fast friends ! She responded promptly and was accommodating of our last minute request. She was patient, knowledgeable and willing to work on her in walk training. Highly recommend!”

About: What sets me apart is my versatility. Whether you need help training a new puppy or providing companionship and care for a senior pet, I'm here to assist. My adaptability ensures that I can meet the unique needs of each furry friend, making their time with me enjoyable and beneficial. Pet care fits seamlessly into my schedule. With my part-time work, I have ample availability to dedicate quality time to your furry companions. I prioritize their needs, ensuring they receive attention, exercise, and companionship. Weekends are perfect for boarding, while weekdays after 2 pm are reserved for walks, playtime, and whatever else your pets require to thrive. In my home, I create a safe and comfortable environment for pets, providing them with designated spaces for rest, play, and meals. I follow any dietary restrictions and medication schedules diligently. For client's homes, I adapt to their routines, maintaining consistency with feeding times, exercise regimens, and any specific care instructions provided. Whether in my home or theirs, I prioritize the well-being and happiness of each pet entrusted to my care.
“We’re very happy with Juliet! We have two dogs with very different needs. Our 5-year-old struggles with anxiety, while our 11-year-old is slowing down with age. Juliet tailors her approach to make sure they're both comfortable, happy, and well cared for. We have complete peace of mind knowing they're in such capable and compassionate hands. We highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable, patient, and caring dog walker!”

About: I have been a pet parent all of my life. I grew up on a farm with every sort of animal. My parents bred Dachshunds and American Eskimos. Currently, I am mom to a rescued Frenchie girl with a heart murmur. She has a Grade 3 of 6 heart murmur which makes me especially familiar with special needs animals. Being a Frenchie mom also means that I am aware of the special needs of Brachycephalic dog breeds (especially during the hot summer months). I worked in a privately owned holistic pet store for more than four years helping customers find the right food, treats and remedies for their fur babies. There is no more satisfying feeling than the results of the help I provided. Seeing the transformation of the fur baby and the happiness that it brought to their pet parent ❤️ I also fostered for Niagara Dog Rescue for a brief period before finding my forever girls. I dealt with dogs with behavioural issues and showed them that not all humans hurt or leave. No request or care detail is ever overlooked. Post walk paw cleaning, face fold cleaning, special post walk treats... Clean water from a freshly washed bowl. Whatever your pup needs will be done. I practice Cesar Millan's techniques and am a calm and confident walker. However; I also know how super important it is for pups to have the opportunity for enrichment through sniffing. All dogs are the cute, cuddle kind. I can't wait to meet yours! I'm home full time other than when walking or checking on fur friends. Your fur family will be able to get as much time and love as they need while you are out/away. In my home, your fur babies become adopted family and will be given the freedom to roam and cuddle wherever they like. If your fur baby needs the safe space of a crate, that is completely doable.
“Sam has been lovely with my anxious dog. She has been able to win her over fairly quickly and gives picture updates during the walk. Sam has also put up with technical difficulties with our door on more than one occasion. 😅”

“Angelina was so sweet with my dog! She took her for a lovely walk to the park, played ball with her, and gave her lots of love and attention. I’m so happy knowing she was in such caring hands. Thank you, Angelina! 🤍”

About: I've had dogs my whole life. I currently have a Border Collie that I've raised and trained since puppyhood. Something that sets me apart from other dog owners and sitters is that despite having a dog as a child, I still did a huge amount of research before getting one as an adult. And as a result, I have a vast amount of knowledge of behaviour, training, illnesses, and care that I think other dog owners may not have. I worked as a doggy daycare and kennel attendant several years ago and got some good experience with all different types of dogs and medication-giving. I am available to walk dogs during weekday afternoons or anytime on the weekend. Walks can be up to 1 hour long. I am available for drop-ins morning and evening for feeding, medicating, and litterbox cleaning. I cannot do overnight stays due to the need to care for my own dog. I will drive to your house to care for your pet in the comfort of their own home. I have a reliable vehicle. In the unlikely event that my car is not able to get me there, I will make sure to have the number of a taxi company or my local car rental available, or a nearby friend with a car available to drive me, so your pet will not be without care. I care deeply for the well-being of animals. I will not use a prong collar or choke chain to walk dogs. Please only contact me if you use a flat collar, harness or halti/gentleleader. I'll walk at your dog's pace and take breaks if necessary in the heat. I can give pills to well-behaved animals, but prefer a pill pocket or alternative if it will stress out the animal, or get me bitten. I'm also fairly adept at squeezing through doors to keep cats/small dogs from escaping.
“Alexandra did an amazing job watching my two dogs, they both absolutely loved her! She was incredibly flexible, reliable, and made the whole experience stress-free. It’s clear she genuinely cares for the pets she looks after, and I would definitely trust her again. Highly recommend!”

“Lizzie loves Connor! He comes in quietly, stays calm and steady, and helps keep her relaxed so she doesn’t get overexcited. Lizzie was just a few weeks post-surgery, and Connor took wonderful care of her — he was gentle, attentive, and followed all of our instructions perfectly. We’re so grateful for him!”

About: I’m a dog person who currently has two tiny human puppies keeping me extremely busy! 😂 Since adopting a dog isn’t realistic for me right now, I figured I’d borrow yours instead. I’m calm, patient, and pretty confident around dogs, and I’d love to spend my free time hanging out with them. I’m especially interested in leash training—helping dogs walk nicely without turning every walk into a full-body workout for their human. 🐕💪 Basically, your dog gets a fun day out, I get my dog fix, and everyone goes home happy! I work from home most of the week, so my schedule gives me plenty of flexibility for pet care. I’m usually available for walks, drop-ins, and playtime during the day, evenings, and weekends. Safety and trust come first. I treat every pet like they’re part of the family and make sure they’re comfortable, supervised, and never put in a situation where they could get hurt. I follow the owner’s instructions carefully, keep doors and gates secure, and pay close attention to a dog’s behaviour and body language. For walks, I’m especially focused on safe leash handling and calm, controlled walks without pulling.
“I appreciate she was able to walk my dog at the last minute because I had plan to go out of town. I am glad I found her on website. What I love about it, she take pictures of my dog and gave him water on the walk.”

“Elle was great with my dog Lumos! She arrived on time, took him for a nice walk, and played with him in the backyard. She also updated me with many photos and videos! Would definitely recommend.”

“If you're looking for someone who is not only trustworthy but also a true dog lover, I highly recommend Alex. She’s reliable and professional, which has been a huge relief for me as a pet owner. Whether it’s rain or shine, I can always count on her to show up on time, and she never rushes through the walks. She tailors each outing based on my dog's energy level, and I can tell he gets a great workout while also having fun. She always provides updates and photos after each walk. We feel so lucky to have found her!”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Cambridge
This was our first time using Rover for our dog Freddie! Kendra had amazing reviews which drew us to her. We met up with her prior to booking and Freddie loved her! Kendra has been very prompt with replies and sent updates from her walks. We look forward to having her walk Freddie on a regular basis.

I have two skeptical miniature Australian shepherds that Adam very quickly won over on their walks. He is reliable and very good with dogs. He clearly loves them and enjoys his work with them. I would recommend Adam to anyone looking for a good dog walker! I trust him with my dogs and coming and going from my home.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Cambridge choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
Yes, you can find walkers who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. On Rover:

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
