About: I have been away from Rover for a little while but I have opened my profile to accepting new clients. We currently volunteer through Halfway Home K9 Rescue. We take in Foster Dogs and help them find homes. Our home has a fenced yard which is fully secure and a lot of room to play. There is a river 3 minutes away with tons of trails which I enjoy walking my dogs on! They would get all their needs met. I can accommodate special instructions. I also take other pets, I have babysat rats and rabbits before. My boys are welcoming and love to have a new friend to play with. I also have experience feeding raw as both my dogs eat raw so raw food is no problem for me! My home is a story and a half so there is some stairs in which I can accommodate if a dog can't do stairs. I look forward to meeting you! Thank you, Breanne I am available most weekends and during the week I can do drop in visits or walks after 4:30pm. If I am off I will update my calendar. I have a fenced yard and 2 well behaved and social dogs. I live in a home with carpeted stairs making it easier for dogs to go up and down them.

Maddie was so wonderful! I had to book last minute, at holiday time no less, and she was amazing and easy to book with. My pup was home with my mother who has a hard time physically managing him and Maddy even helped towel him off from the snow. Rubble was so happy to see her every time!

About: I have a innate love of animals. Large or small, confident or timid, young or old, they all have a place in my heart. I am patient, adaptable and calm even when others may not be. My critical thinking skills help me to troubleshoot any situation your pet might challenge me with. I always look for a win-win outcome. Your pets walk and play time every day is an important part of their lives, and I look forward to spending my time with them. Georgia is an American Staffy that we rescued last year, at approximately 1 years old. Since then we have focused on all levels of training, including agility, to help deal with her reactivity. We have made tremendous progress over the last year with her. I am available between 7 and 6 Monday to Saturday. Sundays and holidays can also be accommodated. My flexible schedule means that I can provide care on your schedule. I know that timing and routine are important to your pet and yourself, and I am punctual and dependable. I understand how important the safety of your furry friend is to you. Should your pet join us in our home, they will have the opportunity to enjoy our fully fenced back yard during play time. During walking times, there are many lovely trails and pathways in our quiet residential neighborhood that we can enjoy together.

About: Growing up in a home full of pets—from dogs and budgies to hamsters and fish—animals have always been a central part of my life. What truly sets me apart is a blend of specialized care experience and professional reliability. For several years, I ran my own local dog walking and pet sitting business in my community, caring for neighbors' dogs multiple days a week. Through this, I became highly adept at managing real-world challenges, including stimulating picky eaters and safely navigating walks with dogs who can be reactive or misbehave around other animals. My background also includes extensive hands-on experience with specialized medical and training needs. I have owned and cared for dogs who were blind, diabetic, and on strict dietary restrictions. Additionally, I raised a future dog guide, successfully guiding her through foundational socialization and obedience training. Whether your pet is an energetic puppy learning the ropes, a senior dog requiring a patient routine, or a unique companion who needs a vigilant handler and a bit of extra patience, I bring the professional dedication and intuitive care they deserve. As a university student at home for the summer, pet care easily fits into my daily routine. I have plenty of time to dedicate to your pet—whether that means heading outside for long walks, playing indoors, or simply sitting nearby to keep them company so they never feel lonely! Safety and trust are my absolute top priorities. Because I do not have a fenced yard, I am very vigilant about leash safety, whether we are walking around the neighborhood or visiting a nearby open-space park. My background running a local pet care business and handling dogs who could be unpredictable around other animals means I am always scanning the environment and anticipating potential triggers. When caring for pets in your home, I respect your space entirely, closely follow your established safety routines, and ensure your home is secure before I leave. You can rest easy knowing your pet is with an experienced, attentive handler who understands exactly how to keep them safe, secure, and happy on every single outing.

Kendra was absolutely amazing! She was so accommodating on short notice to be able to fit us in to her schedule. Riley had a wonderful time on his walk. The photos I got from the walk together were so cute and I loved being able to see where they had gone on the map. Communication was excellent with Kendra, and I felt very safe leaving my little guy with her. Riley is already waiting for his next walk! Highly recommend

About: I've had dogs my whole life. I currently have a Border Collie that I've raised and trained since puppyhood. Something that sets me apart from other dog owners and sitters is that despite having a dog as a child, I still did a huge amount of research before getting one as an adult. And as a result, I have a vast amount of knowledge of behaviour, training, illnesses, and care that I think other dog owners may not have. I worked as a doggy daycare and kennel attendant several years ago and got some good experience with all different types of dogs and medication-giving. I am available to walk dogs during weekday afternoons or anytime on the weekend. Walks can be up to 1 hour long. I am available for drop-ins morning and evening for feeding, medicating, and litterbox cleaning. I cannot do overnight stays due to the need to care for my own dog. I will drive to your house to care for your pet in the comfort of their own home. I have a reliable vehicle. In the unlikely event that my car is not able to get me there, I will make sure to have the number of a taxi company or my local car rental available, or a nearby friend with a car available to drive me, so your pet will not be without care. I care deeply for the well-being of animals. I will not use a prong collar or choke chain to walk dogs. Please only contact me if you use a flat collar, harness or halti/gentleleader. I'll walk at your dog's pace and take breaks if necessary in the heat. I can give pills to well-behaved animals, but prefer a pill pocket or alternative if it will stress out the animal, or get me bitten. I'm also fairly adept at squeezing through doors to keep cats/small dogs from escaping.

Connor has been absolutely amazing with Lizzie during her recovery. She’s 8 weeks post-surgery, and he follows every walking instruction carefully and consistently. He has a steady, calm way about him that keeps Lizzie from getting over-excited — exactly what she needs right now. We trust him completely. He’s reliable, gentle, and truly cares about her progress. I’m so grateful for the peace of mind he gives us on every walk. Highly recommend!

We’re very happy with Juliet! We have two dogs with very different needs. Our 5-year-old struggles with anxiety, while our 11-year-old is slowing down with age. Juliet tailors her approach to make sure they're both comfortable, happy, and well cared for. We have complete peace of mind knowing they're in such capable and compassionate hands. We highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable, patient, and caring dog walker!

Whether you want a solo or group walk depends on your dog's personality. Solo walks can be beneficial for dog parents with reactive dogs, puppies, or dogs who are anxious around unfamiliar animals. Many dog walkers on Rover offer private, one-on-one walking services.

Group walks are a good fit for social dogs who enjoy structured walks. If your dog prefers the energy of a group stroll, ask your dog walker about group walks in Cambridge. Since all dog walkers are local, they may have a neighbourhood dog who is a good walking companion to yours.

Tip: Keep in mind that many cities in Canada require your dog walker to have a permit or licence for group walks.

Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Cambridge choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

Yes, you can find walkers who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. On Rover:

  • 84% of walkers can help with special care needs
  • 94% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 96% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
