Set your mind at peace knowing that when you are away your dog will be in a calm, low-key household where I treat every dog as one of my own. There's a big comfy chair by the front window where they can watch the world go by, and a large, fenced-in backyard for many potty breaks and outdoor adventures. I work from home so your dog is rarely left alone. My husband is retired, so there's the additional help in having someone around the house. I've been dog-sitting for 15+ years so I am experienced with different personalities and situations, and I welcome all dogs to be part of my family, no matter how long the stay. My own 2 dogs have recently passed so while I don't have any dogs living with me, I have frequent doggie-guests (both daycare and overnight) so chances are your dog will have company while staying with me. Please note that I prefer dogs that are less than 25 lbs. I just don't have the strength to control larger dogs if they pull on the leash. And due to recently diagnosed allergies, I can only accept a limited number of short-haired dogs at a time.

Schedule
I've always worked from home and dog-boarding and day care is very much a part of my daily routine. I've got a flexible work schedule so I plan my day with putting the dogs' needs at the top, making sure we have plenty of outdoor and play time.

Safety, trust & environment
I have a large, fenced-in yard for plenty of playtime and a good game of chase. But I don't let the dogs outside without supervision. All my furniture is covered, so everyone is welcome to jump on the couch for a comfy nap.
A typical day
I've got a basket of dog toys that are always appreciated by visiting dogs. The backyard is large and the balls are ready to be thrown for a quick game of fetch. There's lots to explore both inside and outside!
