My schedule is flexible with advance notice, allowing me to accommodate both daytime and evening bookings throughout most of the week. I work part time on my veterinary business, giving me flexibility to provide dependable pet care around my existing commitments. I'm generally available during the day and evenings, with the exception of Thursday evenings.

Safety, trust & environment
Your pet's safety, comfort, and wellbeing always come first. Before every booking, I take time to understand your pet's daily routine, medical history, medications, exercise needs, favourite activities, behavioural tendencies, and any special instructions. I also review leash routines, home access, emergency contacts, and safety considerations so every visit goes as smoothly as possible. During walks and visits, I provide constant supervision, use positive reinforcement, carefully secure doors, gates, and leashes, and follow your instructions closely. I pay attention to details that can make a big difference, from monitoring weather conditions and avoiding hazards to recognizing changes in behaviour or energy levels. You'll receive regular updates, photos, and messages throughout each visit so you always know how your pet is doing. I believe consistency creates confidence, so I work hard to keep your pet's routine as familiar and stress-free as possible while you're away.
Information Eric A. would like to know about your pet
I'd love to learn about your pet before our first visit. Please let me know about: • Their daily routine • Personality and favourite activities • Medical conditions or medications • Dietary requirements or allergies • Training cues they know • Behaviour around other dogs or people • Any fears, anxieties, or behaviours I should be aware of • Anything else that helps me give them the best possible care The more I know beforehand, the better I can make sure your pet feels safe, comfortable, and happy while they're with me. I always recommend a meet-and-greet before the first booking so both you and your pet feel completely comfortable before our first visit together.

Pet care experience
Animals have been part of my life for as long as I can remember. My experience began with my childhood cat, Uncle Shay, and later grew through caring for Maya, a Basset Hound and Rottweiler mix, and Fred, a Rottweiler. Over the years I've learned that every pet has a unique personality, routine, and way of communicating, and taking the time to understand those differences is one of the most important parts of providing great care. 've been caring for animals for as long as I can remember. My experience began with my childhood cat, Uncle Shay, and continued with two wonderful dogs, Maya, a Basset Hound and Rottweiler mix, and Fred, a Rottweiler. Growing up with them taught me that every pet has their own personality, routine, and way of communicating, and that the best care starts with taking the time to understand them as individuals. Outside of Rover, I'm a member of the Canadian Armed Forces Reserves, where responsibility, reliability, and attention to detail are part of everyday life. I'm also building a veterinary-related business, which has given me an even deeper appreciation for preventative care, client communication, and creating a safe, low-stress experience for every pet. One thing that sets me apart is my approach before a booking even begins. Every new client receives a structured meet-and-greet where I learn about your dog's routine, personality, medications, behavioural triggers, emergency contacts, favourite activities, feeding schedule, and any special instructions. Rather than providing one-size-fits-all care, I tailor every visit to your pet's individual needs so they feel comfortable, safe, and as close to their normal routine as possible. Whether I'm taking your dog for a walk or caring for them while you're away, my goal is simple: to treat them with the same care and attention I'd want for my own pets. I'm based near Yonge & Finch and primarily serve North York and neighbourhoods along Toronto's Line 1 subway, including: • Willowdale • North York Centre • Newtonbrook • Lansing • Yonge & Sheppard • York Mills • Lawrence Park • Yonge & Eglinton • Davisville • Midtown Toronto • St. Clair • Summerhill • Rosedale • Yorkville • The Annex • Downtown Toronto If you're outside these neighbourhoods, feel free to reach out. Depending on my schedule, I'm often able to accommodate other areas as well.
Reviews
Eric is truly wonderful, caring, friendly, warm, welcoming, very courteous and extremely vigilant. I was thoroughly impressed by our meet-and-greet we had the day before he walked my little girl. Eric asked a plethora of extremely important questions regarding Beajou most of which I was going to discuss with him before he walked her. As a Medical Alert dog for my epilepsy there are many instructions that must be followed during Beajou's walks - Eric covered everything and some in our meet-and-greet. My Beajou had a fantastic, energetic, fun-filled, healthy adventure with Eric. I received several really fun videos along their walk, which I love receiving. Judging by the map Eric sent they went to all my girl's favourite places. I always provide a water bottle, her collapsible bowl and a water spray bottle in the summer for cool down. Eric made sure my girl kept hydrated, was sprayed down to keep cool and walked in the shade 90% of the time (it is necessary to walk on the concrete at times to get to the Beltline which Beajou loves). I am absolutely thrilled to have found Eric on Rover and will definitely be booking him again to walk my girl. I highly, highly recommend Eric for your fur-baby needs.
"Eric is the kind of pet caregiver who treats every animal like family. When he watched my anxious rescue dog, he sent me photo updates and even learned his favorite walking route. My pup came home happy, well-exercised, and genuinely relaxed, which never happens with sitters! Eric has that rare combination of responsibility and genuine warmth; he remembers the little details, follows care instructions to the letter, and showers pets with the kind of patience and affection that puts both furry friends and their humans completely at ease. I wouldn't trust anyone else with my dogo!
