About: Animals are my absolute passion and I live my life very much in mind of animal welfare. As a testament, I have been a vegetarian for many years now and it's a joy to be able to care for and spend time with animals. Most people would define me as a compassionate and dedicated animal lover. It would be my dream to make it my work. I really enjoy being out with the dogs and I tend to give them a lot of attention and always have safety and enrichment in mind. In the past I would go on "Meetup" dog walking hikes, even though I do not own one, just because it makes hiking that much better! I have volunteered and been trained at several animal shelters over the years including the Toronto Humane Society where I would walk a range of dogs, everything from aggressive, blind, physically disabled, friendly and various types of breeds. I also grew up with a family pet for 14 years in addition to dog walking for countless family members, friends and neighbours. In addition to caring for dogs , I was fostering cats for about 8 years. I have adopted out and fostered about 30 cats over that time (one or two at a time), helping them to become accustomed to home life and trustful of humans. Therefore, I can tend to any cats or other pets at your home. Look forward to meeting your fur "baby"! When I am dog or cat sitting your pet would be my number one priority. For dogs I often do one big walk/adventure a day and regular local walks or bathroom breaks for the remaining of the day. Safety is always my number one concern for the animal. With new dogs I'm always cautious around other animals, do not go to off leash dog parks and I keep them leashed up. I currently only do house sitting so the animals are usually comfortable in their environment and they make sure they have plenty of water and food.

About: My dog is a rescue. He suffers from pretty bad separation anxiety, so keeping him comfortable when he’s alone is quite tricky. Over the last 4 years with him, I’ve been managing this and have finally found some and routines and tricks that keep him calm and comfortable in our home while I’m away. I have had a dog my whole life. I understand the basics of care, and will go above and beyond to make sure your dog is well taken care of, comfortable, and safe while you are away. I currently work from home 2 days out of the week and will be available to play with your pup through out the day - whether you bring them to me for a day of day care, or you need someone to go check on your dog at yours for a walk or a pee break! Additionally, I am available evenings and weekends for dog walking or babysitting. I live in a townhouse with my senior dog. He loves company. Once the excitement of “hello” passes he is very calm, and will love playing with a friend! I don’t have a backyard, so I will take the pups on frequent walks. If you need someone to drop by your place to walk or give pee breaks to your pet, I am more than willing to stay and play and follow any care instructions you provide.

I have also worked with other animals like bunnies, guinea pigs, and fish. I have experience with puppies and seniors as well. Pet care fits into my daily routine as I split it into morning and evening tasks. Mornings involve feeding, walking, checking litter boxes, refilling water, etc. And my evenings include walking, feeding, and any cleaning tasks. I provide care at my clients residence. Depending on the type of building it is (house or apartment) care will vary. In a house it often includes time in backyard, inside play, walks, and extended time with the pet. In an apartment it will include play time inside, lots of walks, time on balcony (depends on apartment and pet), making sure blinds are open to provide sunlight, and extended time with the pet.

I work full‑time, but I’m available for pet care from Thursday to Saturday and can accept same‑day bookings. On Wednesdays, I’m available after 6 PM. If voluntary time off is available at 3 PM, I can leave work then and arrive shortly after if a client needs care on Wednesday.
