Calm WFH Dog Care 🐾 Host Mia
I grew up with dogs and have been caring for them since I was a teenager. Through this, I’ve developed a strong understanding of dogs’ different personalities and needs – from keeping them mentally engaged indoors to ensuring they get regular exercise and structure throughout the day. As a pet parent myself, I know how much trust it takes to leave your dog in someone else’s care. My goal is always to make dogs feel comfortable and at home, while giving pet parents peace of mind knowing their dog is in a calm, attentive environment. I also have experience caring for friends’ and family members’ dogs and am comfortable with things like giving medication, maintaining routines, and paying close attention to each dog’s comfort and behaviour. What sets my home apart is that I keep things calm and personal by hosting only one guest dog at a time (in addition to my dog Mia), so every dog receives plenty of attention and supervision. I work from home full-time, so your dog will have consistent supervision and care throughout the day. My partner is also home, which helps maintain a calm and stable environment. Meet Mia 🐾 Mia is a miniature schnauzer (20 lbs) who is just over a year old. She is gentle, calm, and very friendly with other dogs. Many people are surprised by how relaxed and well-mannered she is for her age. Because of her temperament, she tends to be a wonderful companion for visiting dogs. She is happy to play when invited, but also relaxed and respectful of dogs who prefer their own space.

Ratings and reviews
Andre and Bryan were great with my dog. They took very good care of him, gave him longs walks, made sure he is not anxious and kept me updated with photos. They agreed to take my dog in a last moment request. I fully recommend them as your next pet sitter. Thank you!

Andre and Bryan are awesome. So gentle with our shy little guy! Highly recommended!

Andre and Bryan have been amazing. When I moved to this area, it was really important for me to find trustworthy people to care for my dog. They are super communicative, very attentive, and always make sure my dog is happy and safe. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a reliable dog walker.

Andre and Bryan were absolutely amazing watching my dog overnight! They took such great care of Mocha and made me feel completely at ease while I was away. I really appreciated the photo updates they sent throughout the stay — it was so reassuring to see how happy and comfortable she was. It’s clear they genuinely care about animals and go above and beyond. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for trustworthy, caring pet sitters and will definitely book with them again!

Schedule
Dogs staying with me are rarely left alone and have consistent supervision throughout the day. I build regular walks, playtime, and rest into their routine so they feel comfortable and settled. I’m located in downtown Toronto in the Corktown neighbourhood near the Distillery District, with a dog park directly in front of my building, making it easy to provide outdoor time and socialization. Depending on each dog’s personality and pet parents’ preferences, I’m happy to provide: • relaxed sniff walks • structured walks • playtime at the dog park • indoor play and enrichment • plenty of attention and companionship throughout the day

Home characteristics
Safety, trust & environment
Your dog’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I live in a spacious 3-bedroom condo where dogs have plenty of room to relax and move around. To keep things calm and manageable, I only host one guest dog at a time (in addition to Mia). To ensure a good experience for everyone, I accept: • small to medium dogs • fully potty-trained dogs • adult dogs (generally 1 year and older) I take time to learn each dog’s routine, personality, and any specific needs so I can keep their stay as consistent and stress-free as possible. I’m also happy to send regular photo and video updates so you can see how your dog is doing while you’re away. My goal is for your dog to feel comfortable, relaxed, and part of a loving home while they’re with me.

A typical day
Each day is relaxed, consistent, and shaped around the dog’s usual routine. I typically start the morning with a walk or outdoor time, followed by breakfast if that’s part of their schedule, and some quiet time to settle in. During the day, I balance activity and rest so dogs feel comfortable and not overstimulated. This usually includes one or two walks, time to explore outside, and indoor play or enrichment. If it’s something the pet parent is comfortable with, I can also incorporate time at the dog park for socialization. At home, dogs are free to relax where they’re most comfortable, whether that’s on the couch, in a sunny spot, or alongside Mia. Mia is gentle and easygoing, and often enjoys having a calm companion around, whether for light play or simply relaxing together. In the evening, we wind down with another walk and a quieter environment so dogs can settle in for the night. I try to keep things predictable and low-stress, while making sure each dog gets the right balance of activity, rest, and attention throughout the day.

- To make sure your dog has the best possible experience, I like to learn a bit about their routine, personality, preferences, and needs ahead of time. Some helpful things to know include: • their daily routine (feeding schedule, walk schedule, sleep habits) • temperament with other dogs (especially in new environments) • comfort level being left alone, even for short periods • any behavioural quirks (e.g., barking, anxiety, guarding, or sensitivity to noise) • leash behaviour and recall (if applicable for dog park visits) • any medical needs, medications, or allergies I also like to know what helps your dog feel most comfortable, whether that’s a favourite toy, bed, or specific routine. My goal is to keep their experience as familiar and stress-free as possible, so the more I know in advance, the better I can tailor their stay.
