“Araceli did an amazing job with our dog Punky! She was incredibly responsive and accommodating of our dog's needs. Her home is also incredibly dog friendly--would definitely recommend to others looking for a pet sitter.”

“Kenneth was so awesome to work with!! He was wonderful with Roxy from the moment we met him. Roxy immediately felt safe, comfortable, and excited to play, which gave us so much peace of mind. He was incredibly attentive to her needs, especially since she's a nervous and anxious dog, and even shared helpful tips with us when working on her reactivity with other dogs. Throughout her stay, he kept us updated and reassured, which we really appreciated! We also loved how many walks they went on!! Roxy came home so happy, well-rested, and clearly had such a great time. We would absolutely book with him again!”

“Coco loves Ana and her husband! They really treat her like they would their own pup. They are super accommodating to her needs as an anxious dog with separation anxiety, and I know she loves the extra affection and attention that they give her while she stays with them. This is Coco’s second time staying with them, and we would book again with Ana!”

“Isabella was so amazing with my anxious pup! i loved how she kept me updated the whole time and lots of pictures and videos. Very sweet and polite and flexible with my last minute plans. Anytime i need a sitter in san diego isabella will be my go to!”

“Robin and Rahn took fabulous care of Mabel! She takes some time to warm up to people and they made her feel right at home and sent us several delightful updates. Would have Mabel stay with them again.”

About: Hi! I’m a lifelong animal lover who works from home, so your pet will have my full attention all day long. I currently have a cat and a 15 year old senior dog, so I truly understand the bond we have with our older furry friends. Since I care for a senior dog myself, I’m very comfortable with medical needs. I can easily handle: Injections (like insulin) and any oral medications. Special diets and strict feeding schedules. Senior care for pets who need a slower pace and extra patience. Because I’m home 24/7, I can provide constant companionship and as many potty breaks as needed. Your pet will be treated like family here I work from home full-time, which means I have a very flexible schedule. Your pet will have my companionship 24/7, with constant supervision and as many potty breaks or walks as they need throughout the day A typical day includes lots of cuddles, mental stimulation, and fun games. We will explore the nearby park and enjoy long walks. Since I’m always home, I can strictly follow any feeding or medication schedules your pet requires
“Thank you for taking extra special care of Stella. I appreciate your daily updates and your patience as she adjusted to her surroundings. She came home relaxed and in good health.”

“My little shy guy thrived with Kristen! He’s usually pretty reserved but he was already playing and having a blast on the first day. Kristen was great about sharing updates and communicating. She treated my pup with empathy and care. We hope to be back!”

“Melissa exceeded all my expectations. As a first time pet parent and being nervous about leaving our pup for the first time, she comforted us with constant updates and pictures, and giving us applicable feedback on how to get our pup more and more comfortable with the idea of overnight stays with somewhere else other than home. We really appreciate Melissa going above and beyond.”

“Madelyn is AMAZING! Not only was she able to take in my Lola love last minute when I needed someone the most I genuinely couldn’t ask for anyone better to watch my girl! She made the process SO easy! Her communication is BEYOND great! The update photos had me bragging to my coworkers throughout the day about the great hands my girl was in while i was away! For my first Rover experience she is the PERFECT example of how the process should go and feel. SPONSOR her! 🥹😭 thank you again Madelyn you’re awesome at what you do and such a beautiful spirit overall! We will definitely be booking again!!”

“Alisiene was the perfect sitter! Our pup can be very timid - she was patient and loving and definitely won him over. We appreciated all the daily updates with great photos and were able to enjoy our trip more knowing that our little guy was in the best hands :)”
“Vanessa & and her son took amazing care of Chumpie! He had a great time and misses them already! We will definitely use them again. Thank you Vanessa for treating our special boy like your own. :)”
About: I currently have the privilege of having two senior dogs that have been in my care for 13 years. I am aware of the patience, love and commitment it takes, having and caring for a pet that solely relies on you. I am comfortable administering medications and dealing with food modifications. I have also helped foster in the past. I am home during the day, with light serving shift 3 times a week at night. Long or short walks are available, as well as playtime, boarding and overnight care. My home is your pets home! I love my neighborhood. While I do not have direct access to a back yard, I am super close to multiple dog parks and live in a very walkable neighborhood.

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - San Diego
Madelyn was just wonderful with our baby, she was so loving and attentive to her! I couldn’t have asked for better care with our little girl. I would use her again and again when I come back to San Diego. She was always sharing info and pictures of her while under her care, which made us feel comfortable and assured that she was being well cared for.

Elizabeth was great with Winnie! I can always tell if our Rover’s follow the care instructions by the way Winnie looks, behaves, and smells when she gets home (bulldog things…lol). And Elizabeth crushed it! Even with Winnie’s needs being a bit higher this time after an emergent tooth extraction, she was great with her. We really liked her, and thought she did an excellent job!
This was our first time leaving our pup with a pet sitter, so we were naturally a little nervous. Gabrielle was absolutely wonderful from start to finish. She was incredibly communicative, responded to messages very quickly, and kept us updated every day with photos, which gave us so much peace of mind. It was so reassuring to see how happy and well cared for our dog was while we were away. Overall, we had a fantastic experience and felt completely confident that our pup was in great hands. We would absolutely book with Gabrielle again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable, caring, and trustworthy pet sitter!

Isabella and her boyfriend were so great! Isabella was continuously keeping me updated on my pup and also very patient and understanding. She genuinely cares about making sure the pups feel comfortable and safe and that made me feel so much better about leaving my baby in her care. Highly recommend!

Alisiene was an exceptional dog sitter! She was incredibly responsive, flexible, and understanding of my schedule. From the moment Lucky stayed with her, I knew he was in great hands. She took excellent care of him, made sure he received all of his medication, and was especially attentive to his needs since he has limited vision. Alisiene also did an amazing job with feeding him. Lucky is a very picky and lazy eater, but she somehow managed to get him to eat all of his meals, which is no small feat! It was clear that she paid close attention to his routine and made sure he was well cared for. She took him on multiple walks each day, kept him comfortable and engaged, and provided regular updates throughout his stay, which gave me great peace of mind. I also really appreciated how organized and thoughtful she was—when I picked Lucky up, all of his containers, dog bowls, and belongings were returned spotless and thoroughly cleaned. It was clear that Alisiene genuinely cared about Lucky’s well-being and treated him like her own. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable, compassionate, and attentive pet sitter. Thank you, Alisiene, for taking such wonderful care of Lucky! 🐾❤️

It is the second time Ilana and her husband are taking care of our Terra, and she had such a blast! From sniffing walks, to cuddle on the sofa or play time, she is already looking forward to go back. You can tell Ilana and her husband genuinely care, we would recommend them without a heartbeat!

I can without a doubt say that Phillip was the best rover experience I’ve ever had. He ensured that my pup echo felt comfortable even before the weekend by scheduling a quick meet up / walk, and even played with her at the park. During the weekend, he left me many updates with professional level worthy photos. He even made the best video compilation of their adventures which included taking her to the park and beach. 10/10 would recommend.

Kathryn was absolutely wonderful with Truffles, and I could not have asked for a better sitter. As the owner of a 10-year-old senior dog, it can be difficult to find someone who is the right fit since many doggy daycares will not accept older dogs. What I loved most was that Kathryn works from home and has no pets or children in the house, so Truffles had a calm, quiet environment where he could get plenty of attention and companionship. He’s used to being around people all the time, so it was perfect for him. Kathryn was incredibly kind, communicative, and thoughtful. She sent photos and updates a couple of times each day, which made me feel completely at ease while I was away. Every message reassured me that Truffles was happy, comfortable, and being so well cared for. It’s not easy to find someone you truly trust with your dog, especially one you’ve had for 10 years, but I felt completely confident leaving him with Kathryn. He came home relaxed, happy, and clearly well loved. I would recommend her without hesitation and will absolutely book with her again.

Frida loved her stay. Communication was great while we were away and knew she was in good hands. When we picked up Frida was happy and I can tell she had a good stay. I would highly recommend to book with Ilsa, she communicated well and you can tell she really cares about your fur baby!

Elba was very sweet with our Luna. Our luna was having some tummy troubles and Elba was great with the instructions we provided. She took some great photos and videos of luna during her stay. We greatly appreciated them and their flexibility when our flight was delayed.

Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
