About: *Please read my Availability section closely before requesting to book. Thank you!* Animals truly bring me joy! By nature, I have a strong sense of empathy and a quiet, calm, patient demeanor. This makes me particularly drawn to caring for pets who are aging, anxious, or just need that extra bit of understanding. I’m also extremely detail-oriented and observant. As a kid I helped take care of the family beagle for over a decade (plus various fish, mice, and hermit crabs along the way), then as an adult I owned a rescue cat for 10 years and cared for her through the cancer that eventually ended her life. I have been a trusted sitter on Rover since Jan. 2024, and I love spending time with others’ pets until I have my own again someday. Fun fact: I also have livestock experience! Since 2021 I’ve had the pleasure of working with farm animals like pigs, chickens, ducks, goats, and even a dairy cow 🐮 I work 4 days a week and find out my schedule two weeks in advance, so I’m the best fit for pets with flexible routines who can potentially be left unattended for 9 hours at a time. Mounes was fantastic! From setting up a meet and greet, with extremely short notice, to getting our dog his first walk, on equally short notice, was seamless. Her communication is top notch and she possessed a competence and high level of common sense you aren't always guaranteed on the platform. Highly recommend and will hire her again for sure!!!
Haley took great care of our pets for an extended period of time, and also took care of small things at home such as bringing in packages. She sent regular updates, and kept us informed of what was going on at home. She is always very reliable, and I highly recommend her services.
We were so lucky to have Caroline take care of our cat Dasha while we were on an Alaskan cruise. She is an incredibly sweet person who just radiates calm and kindness, and it only took Dasha about a day or so before she was purring and headbutting and cuddling with Caroline. I left a detailed checklist for Caroline for Dasha's care and feeding and she followed it to the letter, her Rover cards full of details and observations of Dasha's wellbeing as well as sweet photos and videos. She would text and let me know when she arrived, fed Dasha her food with her favorite treats sprinkled on top, scooped her litter box meticulously, and gave Dasha lots of love and attention. I fear that if we book Caroline again, Dasha would cheerfully offer herself up for re-adoption by Caroline, but we'll accept that risk and look forward to rebooking Caroline in the future! :-D
Kate came by our house every day to take care of our cat for a bit over three weeks. She always sent us pictures and updates on her time with him. He seemed more relaxed than usual when we came back. We would use Kate services again and we recommend her as a reliable sitter.
Thanks Yujin for the great job this weekend! Yujin was our first cat sitter with Rover and we plan to ask her to come again for sure. Her gentle and competent demeanor were just right for our kitties. Our more outgoing cat greeted her at the door and followed her everywhere and our very shy cat actually came out of hiding for tummy rubs (which she never does for strangers!). Yujin conscientiously followed our requests and fed them, changed their water, and scooped boxes. She even washed their bowls! And most important, Yujin took some time to play and cuddle with the cats. Her reports and photos of them were lovely and reassured us that she was the right sitter for our kitties. Five stars!
Perla was exceptionally kind and considerate while taking care of our cats. She played with them, made sure they felt cared for while we were gone, and sent us plenty of pictures and videos to help us keep an eye on them. Our cats are normally pretty shy, but they felt very comfortable around her and clearly felt well cared for.
