About: I’ve been around and taking care of dogs since I was 7. I grew up training all of our puppies and continuing to love them now at their old age. I’m comfortable with cats and dogs of large/medium to small. I’m currently a full time college student. Available to sit weekdays and weekends. As well as walks during the day. Most of my mornings are free and afternoons as well. I enjoy spending my free time with animals, last year I spent a lot of time at the animal shelter hanging out with dogs and cats! I am able to come to your home, in you and your dogs/cats environment to keep your animals company, safe, and well loved while you’re away.

About: I am a graduate student located in Blacksburg studying Counselor Education. This past summer I even got to take the Animal Assisted Counseling course and learn all about animal wellbeing in my profession! I have always had dogs and cat in my house growing up, and I have years of informal experience walking, feeding, and taking care of pets overnight. I am always a go to pet sitter for family and friends that are out of town because I always follow their directions as well as treat their home and pet with respect. I also have over a year of hands on volunteer experience at the People For Pets Foundation no kill cat cat shelter in Jeffersonton, VA. I am super flexible all summer! I am a server and work six hours shifts at the maximum. I am happy to serve you and your pets with temporary support or long-term weekly services! I can provide overnight support as well. A pet is like another member of the family, and I have always been taught to treat your family with respect and love them unconditionally. Being with animals is my absolute favorite thing in the world, and you can trust that your pet’s well being will always be my number one priority.

About: I am passionate about dogs and have been my whole life! I’ve had the privilege of raising three dogs from puppyhood all the way through their golden years, so I have hands-on experience with every stage of a dog’s life, from the zoomies, the training, and to the senior snuggles. My sweet pup is back home in Colorado, and honestly, I’m hoping to get some dog time in while im in Virginia. Your fur baby will be in caring, experienced hands! I’m currently pursuing my PhD at VT, so my schedule revolves around research and the occasional class. My hours are very felxible, which means I’m rarely locked into a rigid 9-to-5. During the school year I typically have 1-2 classes, but outside of that my time is largely my own. That flexibility means I can easily work pet care into my daily routine, whether it’s midday walks, regular check-ins, or just making sure your pet has consistent company throughout the day. Safety is my top priority whether I’m caring for pets in my home or yours! Unless there’s a securely fenced yard, dogs are always on leash, no exceptions. Before leaving any space, I do a thorough safety sweep to make sure nothing is within reach that could be chewed, swallowed, or knocked over. I’m also extremely vigilant about doors and escape routes, my own cats are certified escape artists, so I’ve become a pro at making sure no sneaky paws slip out unnoticed! You can trust that your pet’s environment will be secure, supervised, and set up for their safety.

About: I've always been surrounded by animals, and have been taking care of a variety of pets my entire life! I can take care of any age pet, and have experience with medications, bathing, walking, etc. I currently am attending Virginia Tech and am available almost always during the weekday evenings! I strive to provide the best care for your pet! I’m available MW after 5pm, TTH 10-2, or after 7pm, and weekends are very flexible!! When taking care of your pet I will follow any directions provided, and will make sure both your home and pet stay clean and cared for! I also love sending updates and pictures to make sure you know your pet is getting the best care!

About: I have over 500 hours of dog watching and raising experience (outside of my own pets) and spent over 800 hours volunteering cat care for kittens and disabled kitties I am a grad student with a totally flexible schedule and can work from home easily if needed! About: Have had dogs all my life, small/large and medically complex needing meds, love to train, have done cat sitting for medical cats and normal ones I am currently a student in college but only have 2 classes a per week, also am active and am willing to change schedules around :) I am currently not taking pets for boarding as I have my own dog now, but would love to take care of your pets at your home and provide them with enrichment whenever you need/want.

About: I have 3 dogs at home, both large and small. I love any type of dog or cat. I love animals they are the best thing. I would love to see or walk your pets during the day to brighten my day. I would love to spend more time with them if they need an overnight sitter for some company. I wake up early to start my day and I love to be active an take my dogs on a walk. I make sure they get 3 meals a day with an occasional treat or two.

About: I’ve had dogs of all kinds my whole life-dachshunds, labs, doodles, German shepherds, etc. I’ve assisted in training puppies, caring for older dogs, and more. I currently have a part-time job so I will have plenty of time to look after your dogs! I can walk/let them out several times a day and also stay the night. I am very concerned for the safety of your animals. I will always make sure all necessary doors and gates are locked and that there is nothing dangerous in reach.

About: I have lived with dogs my entire life and have been tasked with taking care of others dogs as well. I would love to take your dogs on walks, play fetch in the backyard, or just lounge around all day. I have yet to meet a dog I didn’t like and am not afraid to deal with any messes if needed. I will be here over the summer and have no other obligations so if your animal needs someone there full time I would be happy to hang out with them! I care for pets by providing a comfortable and loving environment for your pet while you’re gone. I am more than willing to do whatever it takes to make your pet feel like it’s just another day at home! I understand some pets may not react well to strangers initially, but I am extremely patient and will work with your pet to reach a trusting relationship.

About: I’ve taken care of all types of animals such as dogs, cats, birds, etc. I’m willing to take care of any types of pets! When I go home from school I have three cats and two dogs. I’ve watched my neighbors, friends, and family’s pets for a couple hours to a couple of days. I’m a full time student at Virginia Tech, however all of my classes are in the morning, so my schedule is extremely flexible throughout the week. During the summer I’m mainly just working at a local vet clinic, so my schedule is still pretty flexible! I will always make it a priority to ask if there are any specific needs or instructions for the pet I am taking care of. I make sure that I give the animal I am watching extra attention, so they can feel as comfortable as possible with me, while their owner is away!

About: I have had a chocolate lab since I was born, and 3 years ago my family got our second dog who is White- Pointed Terrior Mix. I have great experience walking multiple dogs at once, as well as giving great playtime. I know how to properly walk, feed, and play for small as well as large dogs. I’m a current student but I am taking half of my classes online this semester. This leaves me with free time in the mornings most days of the week. I have an easily accessible trail behind my building perfectly for dog walking. This trail is a 2-mile loop, which is wide enough to efficiently walk

About: I love dogs and getting to know them and their personalities. I understand when your dog is on a schedule or needs special accommodations. If there are any special rules that you have in your house then let me know and I'll make sure everything is consistent with how they live at home. I love taking dogs on walks and letting them sniff and lead the way, I think its fun to let the dog take the path they want too, within reason of course. All my pictures show me with my girlfriends dog, a mini poodle mix named Kiwi. He does not live with me unfortunately but he is amazing and precious and I hope you like the pictures of him. I am currently taking classes so I will be available in the morning and evenings. When I have a dog, I like to start the day with a good walk and then take walks every couple hours or as needed. I love dogs and like to make sure they like whats going on. I am very good at being able to read what mood a dogs is in and understand how I should respond to the dog. I do not let dogs off leash unless it is in a fenced in area. I don't do a scheduled feeding typically but if that is apart of your dogs schedule I'd be happy to. I do not use negative reinforcement, I do not think is good for the trust and relationship between a person and a dog and I don't think it works as well as positive reinforcement.
