About: I have taken care of both dogs and cats for as long as I can remember. I recently graduated with my BSN in Animal Sciences, and have been working in the veterinary field since 2022. I am currently working as a full-time emergency veterinary assistant. I currently work full-time at an emergency veterinary hospital. I have plenty of time on my days off and after work to care for your pets! I would be very comfortable taking your furry friends for walks, crating them, or just hanging out! About: I’ve had and been around pets my whole life and have experience with animals of all sizes. I have house-sat, dog walked, and done routine checking on pets for multiple years for friends and family. I also volunteer at the animal shelter to help animals in need I’m currently working part time and only work a few days a week so I am available almost all the time to check in and help out with animals. My long shifts also contain breaks so I can interact with animals throughout the day even while working. I don’t typically stay overnight for house sitting because of the larger time commitment, but if that is something you are interested in I am able to add a small overnight fee to give your animals the care they need. I know how to handle all kinds of pets in all kinds of sizes and I care for each animal as if it were my own. The safety and health of your animal is my top priority while they are under my care.

About: I have grown up with animals and lived on a farm since I was 11. I have had many special needs animals and have worked in a vet clinic as an assistant and a dog daycare with all sizes and ages. I am currently a full time student with frequent availability in the afternoons, evenings, and nights. When I am unavailable I am studying to become a vet! When caring for your animals I will provide the upmost care and safety practices. Your pet will be safe with me and all rules will be applied.

About: My family adopted a 10 month old rescue pup, Charlie, when I was 7 years old. For the 12 years that I got to spend with him he was my best friend. Although he was stronger than me the first few years of his life, I was still involved in his training and feeding care until I was big enough to take him out and walk him. Once I could handle him, I took him out, walked him, and helped give baths. As an adult, I have done multiple pet-sitting jobs for neighbors and family friends. I have taken care of dogs and cats of all ages. My job experience includes retail, landscaping, and food/bar service. Working late nights in downtown Blacksburg, I have become keen at cleaning up messes of all kinds. This summer, my schedule is wide open! I play pool a couple of nights a week, but that doesn't last for more than a few hours and I can always go late/leave early to get back to the pets. When the school year starts, I will schedule pet sitting around my class schedule. I am equipped to handle dogs of almost any size on a leash, and I love to play fetch in a yard/at the park. I can keep food and water bowls clean and full, I can crate dogs if needed, and I can keep a litter box clean!

About: I’ve been a dog owner of border collies since I was a child. I love all dogs and cats, the calm and even the high energy ones :) I’ve spent years taking care of my own pets (parakeets, rabbits, chinchillas, ferrets, cats and dogs) and so I’m familiar with the needed care for even some exotic animals. I love going for evening runs and since my dog Millie passed away, I’ve been missing having some companions with me :) I currently work full time for the summer, but I’m available on Mondays after 1, weekdays after 5, and anytime on the weekends. But my schedule is a little flexible, and if there are any times outside of my schedule that are needed, I’m sure I can make things work. Every animal needs different things and a different way of being approached. Some animals need more high energy play time, fast frisbee throws and runs through the park. Some need the slower walks, cuddles on the couch and to stop and smell the flowers. Whatever speed of play your pet needs, I’m more than happy to accommodate!

About: Hi everyone! I'm Charlotte and I'm a college student majoring in Wildlife Conservation. I've always loved all kinds of animals, and I have two cats at home! I have sitting experience with cats, dogs, hamsters, guinea pigs, gerbils, rabbits, fish, and geckos. I’m a very active person and would love to play with dogs or take them on long walks. I am a graduate student, so my schedule is relatively flexible as long as it fits within my availability. About: I grew up having Greater Swiss Mountain dogs so I am very comfortable around big dogs. I have been walking dogs since I was about 10 in my neighborhood as well. Over the past year I have dog sat/ boarded a couple of dogs in my apartment and also in-home. I love animals and since being at college I have really missed having a dog around so I would love to help out however I can! I am currently a junior at Virginia Tech majoring in Communications. I also work part-time at a bookstore in downtown Blacksburg between going to classes. I wake up every morning at 6:30 and go on walk and I walk in the evening around 7 after my classes. I am also available every day around 2pm to dog walk. When I am taking care of dogs I make sure to follow all instructions left by the owner. I will usually walk dogs twice a day depending on their regular activity level.

About: Hello! I'm currently enrolled in school and majoring in Animal science! Specifically in companion animals which are dogs and cats, I've gained a lot of experience over the years in volunteering in animal rescue groups and being a part of a family that fosters animals. During the summers, I go to Bolivia and spend my time there volunteering for this group called SPAT which helps all dogs and cats in the city of Tarija that are abandoned, living on the streets, and being abused to relocate them to safer and better living conditions for them, as well as taking them to the vet to get their vaccines any procedures done and more. I got into this group because my grandma fosters about 10 dogs! I know A LOT! and is one of the main people they go to when a dog or cat needs a home. SO I gained a lot of experience in handling all types of dogs, small ones, medium-sized ones, big ones, and all types of breeds! Also back home I live with 3 dogs and 2 cats so I am just so used to being around animals since I was a kid as well! I'm currently a freshman at Virginia Tech University and don't have a job so I have so much time and energy to spend on your pets! I care for pets in my client's homes by following everything that my clients say and following their rules. If I have a question or need clarification I will always ask my clients before I do something and make sure they're okay with it. The only stressful part of going on vacation is finding a dependable person to take care your pets…. well, I’m here to be that person! I’m a local high school science teacher and have the entire summer off, and I’m looking for a fun hobby *and* a part-time job- and this opportunity checks both boxes! I’ve had dogs and cats all my long life!! My wonderful dog Gus recently passed away (but he lived a good 12 year life) so my only current pet is a sweet cat named Shortyhops (one of my sons wanted to name her Shorty, the other wanted to make her Hops, so I had to make a daddy decision!) I like to wake up early and I have plenty of time to walk your dog for as long as you want him or her to be walked! As I’ve mentioned, during the summer I’m wide open to host your dog or visit your house just about 24/7. Just let me know how much time you’d want me to spend with your pet (so you can feel relaxed on your vacation!) and I’ll be there! In addition to my large yard, I live across the street from Heritage Park and the Gateway Trail (that leads up into the Poverty Creek trail system) is adjacent to my house.. meaning I’m surrounded by trails to keep your energetic pal happy! Also, I have my 10 year old Gus, who’s relaxed and friendly, to play along with!

About: Hi I'm Gabriella and I am back home for few months after graduating from PA school! I have worked with pets for most of my life and even have a cockapoo myself! I have worked as a pet-sitter since I was in high school for families with cats and dogs of all sizes. My skills include cleaning, bathing, feeding, walking/running, loving, and simple pet chores.
