About: I’ve had and been around pets my whole life and have experience with animals of all sizes. I have house-sat, dog walked, and done routine checking on pets for multiple years for friends and family. I also volunteer at the animal shelter to help animals in need I’m currently working part time and only work a few days a week so I am available almost all the time to check in and help out with animals. My long shifts also contain breaks so I can interact with animals throughout the day even while working. I don’t typically stay overnight for house sitting because of the larger time commitment, but if that is something you are interested in I am able to add a small overnight fee to give your animals the care they need. I know how to handle all kinds of pets in all kinds of sizes and I care for each animal as if it were my own. The safety and health of your animal is my top priority while they are under my care.

About: I have over 500 hours of dog watching and raising experience (outside of my own pets) and spent over 800 hours volunteering cat care for kittens and disabled kitties I am a grad student with a totally flexible schedule and can work from home easily if needed! I will be able to incorporate your pet into my routine seamlessly. I also have the ability to fully care for your pet at their own home. I am able to be there often if needed or can stop by for occasional visits based off your own needs.

About: My family adopted a 10 month old rescue pup, Charlie, when I was 7 years old. For the 12 years that I got to spend with him he was my best friend. Although he was stronger than me the first few years of his life, I was still involved in his training and feeding care until I was big enough to take him out and walk him. Once I could handle him, I took him out, walked him, and helped give baths. As an adult, I have done multiple pet-sitting jobs for neighbors and family friends. I have taken care of dogs and cats of all ages. My job experience includes retail, landscaping, and food/bar service. Working late nights in downtown Blacksburg, I have become keen at cleaning up messes of all kinds. This summer, my schedule is wide open! I play pool a couple of nights a week, but that doesn't last for more than a few hours and I can always go late/leave early to get back to the pets. When the school year starts, I will schedule pet sitting around my class schedule. I am equipped to handle dogs of almost any size on a leash, and I love to play fetch in a yard/at the park. I can keep food and water bowls clean and full, I can crate dogs if needed, and I can keep a litter box clean!

About: I am a stay at home Mom and would love to help other pet owners be at ease knowing their pets are being taken care of while you’re at work or out of town. Being at home allows me to be very flexible with the care you need. My family has both a dog and cat at home, so I’m familiar with the care needed for both. I’ve also cared for an elder dog before needing insulin administered. I am a stay at home mom, so my schedule is very flexible to work with your needs! I’m happy to work with you! I have a large un-fenced yard surrounded by woods; supervised time outside only and on a leash unless you and I both are confident in obedience to come when called. I have a small dog at home who prefers a cuddle buddy over a play mate, but she is friendly with most dogs and loves cats! In the event I leave home I prefer crating until I get to know your pup.

About: I have cared for pets of all ages over the years and adopted a pup of my own about two years ago. He’s up to date on all vaccinations and loves other dogs. I have experience with giving medications to animals, caring for both puppies and older pups, and my apartment is hardwood floors so accidents aren’t a problem! I am a graduate assistant and in grad school. This means that I word pretty weird hours and I do a lot of work remotely. I’m home anywhere between 8 hours to 24 hours a day and can rearrange my schedule depending on the needs of the animal. There is a dog park nearby and it’s a safe area. For my pup, and pups I’ve boarded/cared for before, I traditionally feed them in the AM and give them plenty of water. We go to the dog park to start the day and get the energy out. I make sure to leave dog-safe toys on the floor so they know they have stuff to play with and I dog proof the apartment before I leave each time so they don’t get into things they shouldn’t. We go out later in the day to the dog park again to socialize or get the zoomies going. We go back and have a little more food or a snack and then hang out before going out on a walk to end the day. I'm working full-time in ministry so I have lots of time throughout the day to care for your loved one and will be gone no more than a few hours per evening for bible studies and groups. I take my dog, Tonka, out 5-6 times per day minimum and we love to go on walks and be outdoors. I have a large field directly behind my apartment and live in a very pet-friendly area tucked off the main road so your pup will enjoy lots of safe and supervised outside time! I allow animals on the furniture and keep all choking hazards up high. My dog has a knack for finding even the smallest things to mess with so I have good practice with keeping a safe home.

About: I'm majoring in animal science and am planning on applyingn to vet school next summer. I've taken care of dogs and other pets my whole life. I've worked at a doggy day care and as a veterinary assistant at a vet clinic for dogs and cats. I'm currently on summer break and have a part time job working at an equine vet hospital. I am looking to walk dogs on my days off!! I enjoy going on long walks with dogs around neighborhoods, and will always make sure your pet stays hydrated during these hot and humid summer days.

About: I have a small bichon who’s my first dog. I trained him alone and have been the sole provider for him. I even take him with me to college and have learned the ins and outs! I’ve even taken care of my friends dogs as well during their trips! I am available most times everyday. I’m home for the summer and have my own transportation. I can be there within minutes if it’s needed! The pets come first 100%. After everything’s taken care of I like to clean after them and make sure everything’s how it was before I even stepped inside!

About: I’ve looked after my neighborhood pets since I was 13. I’ve primarily cared for dogs and cats, but I’ve also looked after hermit crabs, a bearded dragon, fish, and canaries. I’ve looked after all different kinds of dogs of all different ages. I have experience with both crate trained and free-roaming dogs as well. Owners trust me to make sure water bowls are always full, follow their usual feeding times as best as I can, have nice walks outside, as well as spend some time playing before I head out. I am back home from college for the summer looking for a part-time job, so my days are mostly free to look after your pets! When visiting your pet at your home, I’d give them time to get used to my scent. I’m comfortable with both crate trained pets and free roaming pets. I take this position very seriously and will take the best care of your pets while you’re away!

About: I have dog sat for neighbors and family since I was 12. I have had rescue dogs since I was born and they are like family to me. I’m proficient in walking, feeding, bathing, and giving your furry friend love. I currently have a short class schedule and work part time so I have a lot of flexibility in my days and nights. I will most likely be able to fit into your wanted schedule. I will make sure to follow the directions given to me by the owner as the animals safety is of upmost importance to me. About: I have always had a love for animals; especially dogs. I have trained many breeds of all ages and am not a afraid of a challenge. I also have 2 years of veterinary knowledge and I have also done grooming on other dogs plus my own. I am a full time college student and im mostly available in the mornings and evenings during weekdays. I am also available on the weekends. Depending on the day, I can do overnight stays but I’m looking for mostly dog walking and day pet sitting. I like to make sure any animals that I interact with are comfortable with me being in their space before I engage with them. Every animal is different just like how every pet owner is different. About: I’ve had dogs for over ten years, cats my whole life, been pet sitting for 4 years, and even worked at a doggy daycare for six months. I have experience caring for animals for up to 2 weeks at a time and have cared for dogs, cats, and bunnies. I work at Wonder Universe, the children’s museum in Christiansburg, about 15 hours a week! Otherwise, nothing concrete is on my schedule, and I am happy to work with your needs. I love to get dogs outside for fetch and running loose. I’m happy to do walks whether for potty or just for exercise. I know that play and stimulation are crucial for animals. I’m also a big fan of keeping things tidy (within reason) so any accidental mess from your fur babies will be as if it never happened.

About: Hi!! I’m Makenzie and I am a junior studying Pre-Law at VT!! I have two beautiful dogs of my own at home (a Great Dane and a golden retriever). I love to hang out and play with my puppies at home or take them on walks. If your pup is looking for a friend to walk with, I’m down! My family relies on me to take my dogs out and feed them often. I am currently back in Blacksburg until further notice!! My schedule is completely open except for my classes on Tuesday and Thursday. I will update my calendar if anything comes up. Rover is something fun I wanted to try because of my love for animals (and I’m always missing my own). I am a big keep the dog on the leash person. When taking my dogs out they are always on a leash and will never be let out of sight and that will 100% be applied to your dogs as well!

About: I’ve taken care of my family’s animals for over 10 years. I also have worked as a veterinary assistant since 2020. I graduated undergrad in 2022. I’m currently a full time veterinary assistant at VMCVM ICU. I currently work an overnight schedule but am available during the day! I will be returning to vet school again in January after a short leave of absence I’m able to walk, feed, give medications, and play with your animals! I’m comfortable with all types of animals with a variety of health problems and temperaments. I currently work night shift so I’m available most times during the day! I also am free all weekends so I have plenty of time to spend time with your pets! I currently live in a house with a fenced in yard. I care for my own dog and have him run around the yard for lots of exercise. Although I wouldn’t be using my house for stays, I am more than happy to spend the same amount of time caring for your pets!

About: I have been taking care of dogs and had dogs my whole life. I have helped various neighbors and friends with their pets as well as my own. Working in barn with horses as well from a young age taught me how to be responsible and care for many animals. I have trained my own horse and have also volunteered at local shelters! I currently have a very flexible schedule and am looking for a part time job. I can be available often and at many different times and can fit any work into my schedule. At home I am used to my own dogs using an electric fence and taking them on walks. I am able to do whatever care needed for your pet(s) whether this be crating, walks, or letting them out in the yard and playing with them.

About: My family has owned a dog for six years which I have taken care of. I walk, feed, play with, and take care of her vet and medical needs. I have also done a lot of work with animal hope alliance for 3 years and have ample experience with cats. Here at Tech I have pet-sit for several friends during breaks and weekends! I am a graduate student at VT so I do mainly lab work rather than classes and have a lot of freedom to play around with my schedule to make sure that your pets get my undivided attention whenever needed! My weekends are entirely free, especially for any boarding or home sitting needs! I do live in a apartment, but I am very close to the dog park if you allow that, and have a decent sized fenced in area near my complex that is virtually always empty for pets that don’t socialize well with other pets!

About: I have grown up taking care of many dogs, horses and cats. I will treat every pet as it it were my own. I work full time but over the past few years have been a successful part time dog walker. I am comfortable with medication management and animals of all ages. I am available on the weekends for walking, drop ins and boarding. I am available most evenings for walks and drop ins. During the work week my schedule may vary. I have a large fence in backyard. I can easily crate your dog or keep in his or her own room. Same goes for cats - if boarding they can stay in their own room. I am used to caring for multiple animals at a time and keeping them separate and safe.

About: I have taken care of animals most of my life, and have had anything from dogs and cats, to chickens and ducks, snakes, goats, llamas, etc. I have successfully trained dogs in basic behavioral skills and administered medication of various forms to all my animals. I also have confidence with even the largest of breeds, having owned a cane corso, among others. I have experience leash training as well as acclimating dogs with new animals and curbing unwanted behavior. I work full- time, but can work with you, especially if I can plan ahead by a week or more. I do occasionally leave town, but again, can generally adjust my schedule accordingly. I prefer to allow animals freedom to roam around if possible, but understand animals have different needs. All walks are leashed, no exceptions unless you have a fully fenced and secure yard you prefer your pet to run around.

About: I am a graduate student living with my one cat looking to show some love and care for your pets! I don’t have any classes this semester and tend to do a lot of work from home so i have plenty of time for your pets. I have grown up with both cats and dogs (and hamsters, hermit crabs, and fish) and have extensive experience in caring for them. I am currently living in a foxridge apartment in Blacksburg surrounded by walking trails and a large park. I love to go on walks around the area and would love a new buddy to take on my walks.
