About: I have been taking care of my pets and the pets of family and friends for as long as I can remember. I also had about two years of experience with dealing with my senior dog, Ella, on multiple medications, supplements, and a special die. I am a graduate student, so my schedule is relatively flexible as long as it fits within my availability. I am more than happy to get up early or stay up late to visit a pet, and most weekends I am free all day. I thoroughly listen to and follow through with the instructions of every client and make sure to respect their wishes while simultaneously ensuring that the dog or cat is taken care of in the healthiest and most reassuring way to the pet owners.

About: My family adopted a 10 month old rescue pup, Charlie, when I was 7 years old. For the 12 years that I got to spend with him he was my best friend. Although he was stronger than me the first few years of his life, I was still involved in his training and feeding care until I was big enough to take him out and walk him. Once I could handle him, I took him out, walked him, and helped give baths. As an adult, I have done multiple pet-sitting jobs for neighbors and family friends. I have taken care of dogs and cats of all ages. My job experience includes retail, landscaping, and food/bar service. Working late nights in downtown Blacksburg, I have become keen at cleaning up messes of all kinds. This summer, my schedule is wide open! I play pool a couple of nights a week, but that doesn't last for more than a few hours and I can always go late/leave early to get back to the pets. When the school year starts, I will schedule pet sitting around my class schedule. I am equipped to handle dogs of almost any size on a leash, and I love to play fetch in a yard/at the park. I can keep food and water bowls clean and full, I can crate dogs if needed, and I can keep a litter box clean!

About: I’ve always been a huge lover of animals ever since I was little and have always had a passion for providing them the best care possible. I have nearly three years of Veterinary experience working as an assistant and am currently attending college to further my education in veterinary medicine. Over the years I’ve assisted with my mom’s petsitting business, volunteered and fostered with my local shelter and have taken various animal care based classes throughout my college career. I have experience with pets of nearly every temperament, age and special needs and have provided care for animals in various different circumstances through sickness and in health. I’ve lived in the Blacksburg area for almost a year now after accepting admission into Virginia Tech. Currently I’m working a part time job over the summer where I have been working early mornings starting at 5am and ending around 11am. About: I’ve had and been around pets my whole life and have experience with animals of all sizes. I have house-sat, dog walked, and done routine checking on pets for multiple years for friends and family. I also volunteer at the animal shelter to help animals in need I’m currently working part time and only work a few days a week so I am available almost all the time to check in and help out with animals. My long shifts also contain breaks so I can interact with animals throughout the day even while working. I don’t typically stay overnight for house sitting because of the larger time commitment, but if that is something you are interested in I am able to add a small overnight fee to give your animals the care they need. I know how to handle all kinds of pets in all kinds of sizes and I care for each animal as if it were my own. The safety and health of your animal is my top priority while they are under my care.

About: I’ve been around dogs my whole life, my family had some growing up and once I moved out I got 2 of my own. I’ve also watched many neighbors and friends dogs since i was young and feel more than comfortable taking them out, administering medicine, and loving on them! Fur babies are family and should be treated as such! And that’s exactly the kind of care I would show your fur baby. Dogs are creatures of habit, so it’s important for me to know what your routine looks like so I can try my best to keep it the same. It will be as if you’re not even gone! I work from home so my days are extremely flexible. Aside from occasional meetings and needing to administer my own dog his medication three times a day (6am, 2pm and 10pm) I have an open schedule to check in on your baby. If you were to bring your dog to me, they would be in a spacious little townhome with an open yard. All I ask is that your dog is friendly with other dogs, as I have 2 at home that would be there with us. One is a staffordshire terrier/husky mix, and the other is a border collie. They all would get plenty of walks and playtime together. If I were to drop in at your home, I would take whatever care necessary! What that looks like is up to you. Taking your dog on a walk, administering medicine, playing with them, whatever you and your pet need!

About: I have cared for pets of all ages over the years and adopted a pup of my own about two years ago. He’s up to date on all vaccinations and loves other dogs. I have experience with giving medications to animals, caring for both puppies and older pups, and my apartment is hardwood floors so accidents aren’t a problem! I am a graduate assistant and in grad school. This means that I word pretty weird hours and I do a lot of work remotely. I’m home anywhere between 8 hours to 24 hours a day and can rearrange my schedule depending on the needs of the animal. There is a dog park nearby and it’s a safe area. For my pup, and pups I’ve boarded/cared for before, I traditionally feed them in the AM and give them plenty of water. We go to the dog park to start the day and get the energy out. I make sure to leave dog-safe toys on the floor so they know they have stuff to play with and I dog proof the apartment before I leave each time so they don’t get into things they shouldn’t. We go out later in the day to the dog park again to socialize or get the zoomies going. We go back and have a little more food or a snack and then hang out before going out on a walk to end the day. I'm working full-time in ministry so I have lots of time throughout the day to care for your loved one and will be gone no more than a few hours per evening for bible studies and groups. I take my dog, Tonka, out 5-6 times per day minimum and we love to go on walks and be outdoors. I have a large field directly behind my apartment and live in a very pet-friendly area tucked off the main road so your pup will enjoy lots of safe and supervised outside time! I allow animals on the furniture and keep all choking hazards up high. My dog has a knack for finding even the smallest things to mess with so I have good practice with keeping a safe home.

About: Hello! I'm currently enrolled in school and majoring in Animal science! Specifically in companion animals which are dogs and cats, I've gained a lot of experience over the years in volunteering in animal rescue groups and being a part of a family that fosters animals. During the summers, I go to Bolivia and spend my time there volunteering for this group called SPAT which helps all dogs and cats in the city of Tarija that are abandoned, living on the streets, and being abused to relocate them to safer and better living conditions for them, as well as taking them to the vet to get their vaccines any procedures done and more. I got into this group because my grandma fosters about 10 dogs! I know A LOT! and is one of the main people they go to when a dog or cat needs a home. SO I gained a lot of experience in handling all types of dogs, small ones, medium-sized ones, big ones, and all types of breeds! Also back home I live with 3 dogs and 2 cats so I am just so used to being around animals since I was a kid as well! I'm currently a freshman at Virginia Tech University and don't have a job so I have so much time and energy to spend on your pets! I care for pets in my client's homes by following everything that my clients say and following their rules. If I have a question or need clarification I will always ask my clients before I do something and make sure they're okay with it. About: I have grown up with animals and pets my whole life. Growing up by farm in Germany, I fostered a love and care for all animals and I am my happiest when I’m with them. While I have always owned cats myself, I also have experience with dog-sitting (including walking, playing (of course☺️), and minor allergy medications). I adore pups/cats and am excited to care for your little ones! I currently work 3 days a week in EMS (W-F) and am very flexible outside of these hours to love and care for your pets. Safety is of utmost importance!! When leaving the house, I will ensure all doors are locked. I will keep an eye out to make sure your dog doesn’t try to eat something they shouldn’t or bring things into your home. I will also keep an eye on other animals around your pet, especially when walking and leaving the home. I have two cats of my own - Flo & Mo. While one is apprehensive, the other is goofy (and very orange). Every pet is different and I will respect their needs and comfort zones while in their space.

About: I’ve grown up around dogs my whole life and truly love being around them. I’m very comfortable being around and walking all different breeds. I have experience taking care of dogs of different breeds and ages for my family, friends, and other families in my community growing up. I’m a teacher so I am currently on summer break, but still can be an early bird. I am available basically any time of the day and any day M-F.
