About: I am passionate about dogs and have been my whole life! I’ve had the privilege of raising three dogs from puppyhood all the way through their golden years, so I have hands-on experience with every stage of a dog’s life, from the zoomies, the training, and to the senior snuggles. My sweet pup is back home in Colorado, and honestly, I’m hoping to get some dog time in while im in Virginia. Your fur baby will be in caring, experienced hands! I’m currently pursuing my PhD at VT, so my schedule revolves around research and the occasional class. My hours are very felxible, which means I’m rarely locked into a rigid 9-to-5. During the school year I typically have 1-2 classes, but outside of that my time is largely my own. That flexibility means I can easily work pet care into my daily routine, whether it’s midday walks, regular check-ins, or just making sure your pet has consistent company throughout the day. Safety is my top priority whether I’m caring for pets in my home or yours! Unless there’s a securely fenced yard, dogs are always on leash, no exceptions. Before leaving any space, I do a thorough safety sweep to make sure nothing is within reach that could be chewed, swallowed, or knocked over. I’m also extremely vigilant about doors and escape routes, my own cats are certified escape artists, so I’ve become a pro at making sure no sneaky paws slip out unnoticed! You can trust that your pet’s environment will be secure, supervised, and set up for their safety.

About: I love caring for all animals. I do have previous experience taking care of puppies as well but am willing to look after all ages. I have large breaks in my days between and after my classes so I am always available to help whenever needed. I am also available all day on weekends if necessary. About: I’ve grown up around dogs my whole life and truly love being around them. I’m very comfortable being around and walking all different breeds. I have experience taking care of dogs of different breeds and ages for my family, friends, and other families in my community growing up. I’m a teacher so I am currently on summer break, but still can be an early bird. I am available basically any time of the day and any day M-F. I have a spacious apartment where I will prioritize caring for your dog and their safety. There are lots of good walking trails for dog walks.

About: I have lived with dogs my entire life and have been tasked with taking care of others dogs as well. I would love to take your dogs on walks, play fetch in the backyard, or just lounge around all day. I have yet to meet a dog I didn’t like and am not afraid to deal with any messes if needed. I will be here over the summer and have no other obligations so if your animal needs someone there full time I would be happy to hang out with them! I care for pets by providing a comfortable and loving environment for your pet while you’re gone. I am more than willing to do whatever it takes to make your pet feel like it’s just another day at home! About: I am a graduate student located in Blacksburg studying Counselor Education. This past summer I even got to take the Animal Assisted Counseling course and learn all about animal wellbeing in my profession! I have always had dogs and cat in my house growing up, and I have years of informal experience walking, feeding, and taking care of pets overnight. I am always a go to pet sitter for family and friends that are out of town because I always follow their directions as well as treat their home and pet with respect. I also have over a year of hands on volunteer experience at the People For Pets Foundation no kill cat cat shelter in Jeffersonton, VA. I am super flexible all summer! I am a server and work six hours shifts at the maximum. I am happy to serve you and your pets with temporary support or long-term weekly services! I can provide overnight support as well. A pet is like another member of the family, and I have always been taught to treat your family with respect and love them unconditionally. Being with animals is my absolute favorite thing in the world, and you can trust that your pet’s well being will always be my number one priority.

About: I am a recent animal science grad from Virginia Tech, pursuing a career in veterinary medicine. My journey in this field began at a young age when I commenced volunteering at an animal shelter, an endeavor that has remained a cherished source of solace and fulfillment. Over the years, I have garnered hands-on experience through roles as a kennel attendant and doggy daycare handler at a veterinary clinic and grooming center. Presently, I am engaged in an internship under the guidance of a seasoned veterinarian. Additionally, I have accumulated four years of experience in house and pet sitting, catering to animals of varying sizes, ranging from 150-pound Cane Corsos to 10-pound Yorkies, and have cared for both arthritic and diabetic seniors in the past. Complementing this professional background, I am also a devoted owner of three dogs. Taking time off before moving and starting a new job. About: It may come as a surprise that I’ve never had a pet growing up, but that hasn’t stopped my love for animals. One thing I love about pet care is that each pet has there own personality. I’ve cared for lazy dogs, hyper dogs, mean dogs, social dogs, cats who believe we work for them and the cats who insist they’re dogs. I’ve definitely seen it all. One thing I’ve learned about pet care is that you must gain trust. Each dog has their own specific, unique needs that must be met. Whether it falls down to a few more bathroom breaks throughout the day or extra tender love and care, all needs will be met with your pet in my care. As far as tangible experience, I’ve accumulated years of experience working and volunteering at several clinics and hospitals. About: I’ve been around and taking care of dogs since I was 7. I grew up training all of our puppies and continuing to love them now at their old age. I’m comfortable with cats and dogs of large/medium to small. I’m currently a full time college student. Available to sit weekdays and weekends. As well as walks during the day. Most of my mornings are free and afternoons as well. I enjoy spending my free time with animals, last year I spent a lot of time at the animal shelter hanging out with dogs and cats! I am able to come to your home, in you and your dogs/cats environment to keep your animals company, safe, and well loved while you’re away.

About: I have grown up with animals and pets my whole life. Growing up by farm in Germany, I fostered a love and care for all animals and I am my happiest when I’m with them. While I have always owned cats myself, I also have experience with dog-sitting (including walking, playing (of course☺️), and minor allergy medications). I adore pups/cats and am excited to care for your little ones! I currently work 3 days a week in EMS (W-F) and am very flexible outside of these hours to love and care for your pets. Safety is of utmost importance!! When leaving the house, I will ensure all doors are locked. I will keep an eye out to make sure your dog doesn’t try to eat something they shouldn’t or bring things into your home. I will also keep an eye on other animals around your pet, especially when walking and leaving the home. I have two cats of my own - Flo & Mo. While one is apprehensive, the other is goofy (and very orange). Every pet is different and I will respect their needs and comfort zones while in their space.
