About: I've had a dog all my life except for the brief interlude (1965-1970) while I served in the Marine Corps. Since my kids have grown and left home my dogs are now my babies. I'm retired and have a lot of time on my hands. I'd like to have the option of caring for someones pet now and then to give me something to do. I love dogs and rarely met a dog that doesn't love me right back. My dogs are almost always with me. Excepting - going to the store in the summer when the temperature in the car would be too hot. I make sure my dogs are safe and comfortable.

About: I’ve owned a black Labrador(Anna) for over 13 years, she has not once had any sort of health issue as I’ve feed her well, and kept her up to date on vet visits. I’m caring, compassionate, and smart and versatile enough to be calm in any situation that may arise. I assure you that I will treat your pet as if it were my own. This allows me the freedom to stay focused on your pet and be there when other folks have to leave. If a situation ever does arrive my strength are communication so you can rest assured I will be in constant contact, which as a pet owner for an older girl myself id expect from others if I left her in their care. If the pet requires adequate exercise I have no problem going on a long walk with them and the space is pet friendly as my dog (Anna) is there. In your home, I can assure you that my experience will allow me to provide the best care for your loved ones.

About: I grew up on a small farm raising a variety of animals including dogs and cats. Sometimes what seems to be a mean animal is just a misunderstood animal that need extra time and attention and love. I have a pretty open schedule and would like to build relationships with animals and fellow animal lovers alike. Right now I only do other low commitment jobs like DoorDash and have time to fit you into my schedule. This is kind of a good and bad thing about me but I love an animal that loves food, and I enjoy rewarding them with treats for good behavior. I promise not to fatten up your pets too much though.

About: Animal care has been a central part of my life for as long as I can remember, starting with caring for my lineup of family pets at a young age. With 8 years of experience as a veterinary assistant in a small practice, I developed a strong foundation in hands on, compassionate care. I earned a degree in Animal Science from Virginia Tech and went on to complete a Masters degree, where I worked with a wide variety of species. Now, as a PhD candidate, I continue to care for diverse animals, with an emphasis on high quality husbandry, health, and well being. About: Have had dogs all my life, small/large and medically complex needing meds, love to train, have done cat sitting for medical cats and normal ones I am currently a student in college but only have 2 classes a per week, also am active and am willing to change schedules around :) I am currently not taking pets for boarding as I have my own dog now, but would love to take care of your pets at your home and provide them with enrichment whenever you need/want.

About: Some of my pet experience includes bathing dogs, taking care of dogs for friends, having my own dog who i care for, and loving all animals. I’ve trained my dog to for certain commands which i believe is very helpful. All my friends come to me when they need someone to take care of their fur babies! I am a college student with a work load, however no job. A lot of my days are spent in my home doing homework and pet care fits into my schedule because I can always be there to play and take you pets out. I don’t have very long classes either or in a big stretch so your pay would be cared for almost 24/7 I care for pets as if they were my children haha! About: I have over 500 hours of dog watching and raising experience (outside of my own pets) and spent over 800 hours volunteering cat care for kittens and disabled kitties I am a grad student with a totally flexible schedule and can work from home easily if needed! About: I have experience with both domestic and exotic pet sitting and care. I have trained ferrets, dogs, and cats for both family and friends. I treat everyone's pets as if they were my own. I'm currently working full-time, 12pm - 8pm Monday - Friday. I am available to meet your pets needs on Saturdays and Sundays. About: I am a new sitter on Rover, but don’t let that put you off. :) My family has never known a time where we didn’t have pets! When I was five years old, my parents entrusted to me a sweet black kitty for whom I was solely responsible for. Not only did this experience affirm my love for animals, but it also jumpstarted me into a world of responsibility! Since then, we have rescued dogs and cats of all shapes and sizes, happily welcoming “bully” breeds and giving them all the love and care they deserve! I’ve cared for elderly dogs and cats with and without disabilities, as well as those who need certain medications or injections. Further, big breeds do not intimidate me- I love them! Perhaps most importantly, I will love and care for your pet as if it were my own! ❤️ I am currently a graduate student at Virginia Tech, and as such, my weekdays are fairly busy until the evenings. If you need overnight care on the weekdays, let me know and we can work something out! I typically have a couple meetings in the mornings that I can conduct on zoom, but I do have in person class from 2-5 that I will need to leave your home for. Fridays and weekends, however, are wide open! I have two sweet, playful cats currently and live in an apartment, so it is likely that care will be provided in your house! I often find this is better anyway, as your pet is already comfortable in their home and less likely to feel stress with change.

About: I have had dogs my whole life. Last one a pug for 14 years. Took care of her needs being paralyzed for several years. Had small poodle for 18 years I am retired. Travel at times. Live alone.
