About: My previous experience in pet care includes employment at Holiday Barn Pet Resorts as a pet care associate, volunteering at Richmond Animal League, and pet sitting for a wide variety of animals. Pet sitting for pets around my neighborhood was my first job! Growing up with pets of my own my whole life has also allowed me to become accustomed to caring for animals of all different sizes, ages, and temperaments. As a college student on summer break, I am opening my schedule up through mid-August and plan to fill my days/weeks with pet care services! Help me keep busy :) I am currently offering walks, drop ins, and/or overnight services, and I have experience with caring for pets in others’ homes. As of right now I am unable to provide boarding services.

About: I have over 500 hours of dog watching and raising experience (outside of my own pets) and spent over 800 hours volunteering cat care for kittens and disabled kitties I am a grad student with a totally flexible schedule and can work from home easily if needed! I will be able to incorporate your pet into my routine seamlessly. I also have the ability to fully care for your pet at their own home. I am able to be there often if needed or can stop by for occasional visits based off your own needs.

About: My family adopted a 10 month old rescue pup, Charlie, when I was 7 years old. For the 12 years that I got to spend with him he was my best friend. Although he was stronger than me the first few years of his life, I was still involved in his training and feeding care until I was big enough to take him out and walk him. Once I could handle him, I took him out, walked him, and helped give baths. As an adult, I have done multiple pet-sitting jobs for neighbors and family friends. I have taken care of dogs and cats of all ages. My job experience includes retail, landscaping, and food/bar service. Working late nights in downtown Blacksburg, I have become keen at cleaning up messes of all kinds. This summer, my schedule is wide open! I play pool a couple of nights a week, but that doesn't last for more than a few hours and I can always go late/leave early to get back to the pets. When the school year starts, I will schedule pet sitting around my class schedule. I am equipped to handle dogs of almost any size on a leash, and I love to play fetch in a yard/at the park. I can keep food and water bowls clean and full, I can crate dogs if needed, and I can keep a litter box clean!

About: I have 2 years of veterinary clinic experience. From boarding, medication management, to overall care. I have taken care of numerous kittens and puppies as well as seniors! About: I am currently a student at Virginia Tech. I have been pet sitting and taking care of dogs for ten years and have loved each and every animal I have cared for as if they were my own. I have owned dogs and cats my whole life and have trained them myself as I got older. I have experience with puppies under the age of one and will play with them until they can’t play anymore. When I care for your pets, I promise to give them as much love and affection as they get when you are there (possibly even more). Your animals are my top priority when I am caring for them, and I will love them as much as you do until you can get back to them. I am able to care for your pets any time. I will be starting school in the fall, but that will not impact the way I love and care for your pets due to the way my class schedule is structured. I have a very friendly lab that loves to play with other dogs. I ensure that when I am in someone else’s home, I am supervising the dogs while I also make sure they are getting the exercise and enrichment required for their breed and temperament. Every dog needs different treatment, and I will adjust the way I care for them based on their own needs.

I have lifelong experience caring for animals - I grew up with five cats, two Guinea pigs, and four birds! Petsitting for my neighbor’s dogs was my very first job as a kid and I have been doing it for friends, family, and coworkers ever since. I have experience caring for elderly and disabled animals, those with particular feeding schedules or allergies, and am comfortable administering medications for your pets as needed. I have cared for everything from dogs and cats to ferrets, rabbits, and even chickens. About: I currently live with a German Shepherd (Cody) and a Black Lab (Joey). I have always had dogs growing up (mostly pugs). I love all dogs and being around them brings me so much joy! I am a graduate student at Virginia Tech studying Civil Engineering. I am available for free meet and greets to meet you and your pet! I am available to walk or check in with dogs (or cats) when I am not working on school or research. I am very loving towards dogs (and cats) and respectful of their homes. About: I have had dogs my whole life. Last one a pug for 14 years. Took care of her needs being paralyzed for several years. Had small poodle for 18 years I am retired. Travel at times. Live alone. Really miss having a sweet doggy. Lots of love here to give to a pet. Always first with me. Have a nice place. Closed in deck. Screened in porch. About: I have taken care of both dogs and cats for as long as I can remember. I recently graduated with my BSN in Animal Sciences, and have been working in the veterinary field since 2022. I am currently working as a full-time emergency veterinary assistant. I currently work full-time at an emergency veterinary hospital. I have plenty of time on my days off and after work to care for your pets! I would be very comfortable taking your furry friends for walks, crating them, or just hanging out! I love all animals, and am looking forward to caring for your furry friend!

About: I have cared for pets of all ages over the years and adopted a pup of my own about two years ago. He’s up to date on all vaccinations and loves other dogs. I have experience with giving medications to animals, caring for both puppies and older pups, and my apartment is hardwood floors so accidents aren’t a problem! I am a graduate assistant and in grad school. This means that I word pretty weird hours and I do a lot of work remotely. I’m home anywhere between 8 hours to 24 hours a day and can rearrange my schedule depending on the needs of the animal. There is a dog park nearby and it’s a safe area. For my pup, and pups I’ve boarded/cared for before, I traditionally feed them in the AM and give them plenty of water. We go to the dog park to start the day and get the energy out. I make sure to leave dog-safe toys on the floor so they know they have stuff to play with and I dog proof the apartment before I leave each time so they don’t get into things they shouldn’t. We go out later in the day to the dog park again to socialize or get the zoomies going. We go back and have a little more food or a snack and then hang out before going out on a walk to end the day. I'm working full-time in ministry so I have lots of time throughout the day to care for your loved one and will be gone no more than a few hours per evening for bible studies and groups. I take my dog, Tonka, out 5-6 times per day minimum and we love to go on walks and be outdoors. I have a large field directly behind my apartment and live in a very pet-friendly area tucked off the main road so your pup will enjoy lots of safe and supervised outside time! I allow animals on the furniture and keep all choking hazards up high. My dog has a knack for finding even the smallest things to mess with so I have good practice with keeping a safe home.

About: I’ve always been a huge lover of animals ever since I was little and have always had a passion for providing them the best care possible. I have nearly three years of Veterinary experience working as an assistant and am currently attending college to further my education in veterinary medicine. Over the years I’ve assisted with my mom’s petsitting business, volunteered and fostered with my local shelter and have taken various animal care based classes throughout my college career. I have experience with pets of nearly every temperament, age and special needs and have provided care for animals in various different circumstances through sickness and in health. I’ve lived in the Blacksburg area for almost a year now after accepting admission into Virginia Tech. Currently I’m working a part time job over the summer where I have been working early mornings starting at 5am and ending around 11am. I’m able to provide early morning care before my shift and in the afternoon when I am off. Along with care in the evening time as well. Unfortunately I am unable to do petsitting out of my own home but I will strive to give your pets the best care out of your home. About: I’ve been caring for dogs since I was 9 years old, starting with my neighbor’s two senior pups who needed daily medication. Since then, I’ve looked after dogs of all ages, from high-energy puppies to sweet seniors, and I’ve always loved getting to know their unique personalities. I’ve had three dogs of my own. My first was a gentle Bernese Mountain Dog named Hope, and when i’m home from college, I live with my two Mini Australian Shepherds, Maggie and Tobi. They’re almost 9 years old and full of energy and affection. I also regularly care for my sister’s 2-year-old Berner named Keatts, and I help my boyfriend’s family with their four dogs—a Pomeranian and three Dachshunds ranging in age from 1 to 12—whenever they go out of town. I’m comfortable with dogs of all sizes and temperaments. One of my Aussies has fear-based aggression, so I’ve learned how to stay calm, patient, and supportive when working with anxious or reactive dogs. Whether it’s giving medication, keeping a routine, helping a nervous dog feel safe, or just getting their zoomies out with playtime, I always care for every dog like they’re my own. I’m reliable, attentive, and truly love what I do. As a full-time student at Virginia Tech, I have a structured class schedule but also plenty of breaks throughout the day. Those gaps give me the flexibility to care for pets and check in on them regularly—typically every 2–6 hours depending on the day. I make sure to stay available and responsive, and I’m open to adjusting my routine as needed to best fit each animal’s needs. Pet care is something I genuinely enjoy and make time for every day, so if you need someone who’s dependable and easy to reach, I’ll likely be available when you need me. Whether it’s daily drop-ins, long walks, or extended stays, I’m happy to work around your schedule and your pet’s needs. I currently only offer overnight pet care in my apartment. When pets stay with me, I make sure they have a safe, comfortable environment and maintain their normal routines as closely as possible. This includes regular feeding, walks or playtime, and plenty of attention throughout the day and evening. Since I’m home overnight, pets are never left alone for long stretches, and I keep communication open with owners to provide updates and adjust care if needed. I treat every pet like my own, giving them plenty of attention, playtime, and affection. Whether your dog needs regular walks or your cat prefers quiet companionship, I’ll make sure they feel safe, loved, and well cared for in their new environment.

About: taken care of dogs big and small since I was 17 Neighbors, friends and family have relied on me to walk and feed because it doesn’t feel like a job to me. I am Currently unemployed and I am also currently looking for a side hustle and I think this would be a great fit for me I will take good care of the owners pet from their house. My parents will only let me take care of the dog at the clients house so they will not be coming to mine.

About: I love animals and have cared for animals my entire life. I completed a Certification in Veterinary Assisting in 2019 and have over 500 hours of Veterinary clinical experience including dogs, cats, horses, and exotic animals. I have worked and cared for sick and healthy animals while working in this clinic, as well as having pets at home for the past 15 years of my life. I have cared for senior animals as well as female animals in heat. I love the animals I care for and watch as if they were my own! I am currently a full time employee at the University of Georgia remote field station located near Augusta, GA. Weekdays, my hours are very early in the morning, so I have the early morning to do morning care and I should be home from work earlier in the afternoon- making me available to do walks, feeding, training, check-ins, show some love to my animals I am currently boarding in the evening. My weekends are open! I have many walking areas near my home, as well as 2 dog parks within a 2 minute walk from me and a large green available for dogs to play in. There is a big dog dog park separated from the small dog dog park!

About: I have worked at a humane society shelter as a volunteer for years in Michigan. I have fostered animals as well as helped dogs and cats give birth. I have experience with pet sitting and taking care of pets. I believe pets are our children. I have open flexibility and can give many references on how trust worthy i am as i owned a cleaning business here in nrv for 10 plus years licensed and insured. While at a clients home I will make sure the home stays cleaned up from the pet and goes on its normal scheduled walks and or care. While the pet is at my home it will have its own personal area that is kept well and it won't interact with our cats. Walks and playtime will be included.
