About: My previous experience in pet care includes employment at Holiday Barn Pet Resorts as a pet care associate, volunteering at Richmond Animal League, and pet sitting for a wide variety of animals. Pet sitting for pets around my neighborhood was my first job! Growing up with pets of my own my whole life has also allowed me to become accustomed to caring for animals of all different sizes, ages, and temperaments. As a college student on summer break, I am opening my schedule up through mid-August and plan to fill my days/weeks with pet care services! Help me keep busy :) I am currently offering walks, drop ins, and/or overnight services, and I have experience with caring for pets in others’ homes. As of right now I am unable to provide boarding services.

About: I have over 500 hours of dog watching and raising experience (outside of my own pets) and spent over 800 hours volunteering cat care for kittens and disabled kitties I am a grad student with a totally flexible schedule and can work from home easily if needed! I will be able to incorporate your pet into my routine seamlessly. I also have the ability to fully care for your pet at their own home. I am able to be there often if needed or can stop by for occasional visits based off your own needs.

About: I have experience caring for both elderly and young dogs. This has equipped me with a variety of skills such as age-appropriate exercise, nutritional needs, and understanding certain behaviors and how to react. I just recently graduated high-school and need something to fill my time. Playing with your pups seems to be the best thing to fill my day! I’m free majority of the week and only work part-time as a waitress. I have a cat and dog at my house but both a friendly to other animals. If needed the animals can be put in a separate room away from clients pet.

About: I have 2 years of veterinary clinic experience. From boarding, medication management, to overall care. I have taken care of numerous kittens and puppies as well as seniors! About: I have had dogs my whole life. Last one a pug for 14 years. Took care of her needs being paralyzed for several years. Had small poodle for 18 years I am retired. Travel at times. Live alone. Really miss having a sweet doggy. Lots of love here to give to a pet. Always first with me. Have a nice place. Closed in deck. Screened in porch. About: My family adopted a 10 month old rescue pup, Charlie, when I was 7 years old. For the 12 years that I got to spend with him he was my best friend. Although he was stronger than me the first few years of his life, I was still involved in his training and feeding care until I was big enough to take him out and walk him. Once I could handle him, I took him out, walked him, and helped give baths. As an adult, I have done multiple pet-sitting jobs for neighbors and family friends. I have taken care of dogs and cats of all ages. My job experience includes retail, landscaping, and food/bar service. Working late nights in downtown Blacksburg, I have become keen at cleaning up messes of all kinds. This summer, my schedule is wide open! I play pool a couple of nights a week, but that doesn't last for more than a few hours and I can always go late/leave early to get back to the pets. When the school year starts, I will schedule pet sitting around my class schedule. I am equipped to handle dogs of almost any size on a leash, and I love to play fetch in a yard/at the park. I can keep food and water bowls clean and full, I can crate dogs if needed, and I can keep a litter box clean!

I have lifelong experience caring for animals - I grew up with five cats, two Guinea pigs, and four birds! Petsitting for my neighbor’s dogs was my very first job as a kid and I have been doing it for friends, family, and coworkers ever since. I have experience caring for elderly and disabled animals, those with particular feeding schedules or allergies, and am comfortable administering medications for your pets as needed. About: I have taken care of both dogs and cats for as long as I can remember. I recently graduated with my BSN in Animal Sciences, and have been working in the veterinary field since 2022. I am currently working as a full-time emergency veterinary assistant. I currently work full-time at an emergency veterinary hospital. About: I have cared for pets of all ages over the years and adopted a pup of my own about two years ago. He’s up to date on all vaccinations and loves other dogs. I have experience with giving medications to animals, caring for both puppies and older pups, and my apartment is hardwood floors so accidents aren’t a problem! I am a graduate assistant and in grad school. This means that I word pretty weird hours and I do a lot of work remotely. I’m home anywhere between 8 hours to 24 hours a day and can rearrange my schedule depending on the needs of the animal. There is a dog park nearby and it’s a safe area. For my pup, and pups I’ve boarded/cared for before, I traditionally feed them in the AM and give them plenty of water. We go to the dog park to start the day and get the energy out. I make sure to leave dog-safe toys on the floor so they know they have stuff to play with and I dog proof the apartment before I leave each time so they don’t get into things they shouldn’t. We go out later in the day to the dog park again to socialize or get the zoomies going. We go back and have a little more food or a snack and then hang out before going out on a walk to end the day. I'm working full-time in ministry so I have lots of time throughout the day to care for your loved one and will be gone no more than a few hours per evening for bible studies and groups. I take my dog, Tonka, out 5-6 times per day minimum and we love to go on walks and be outdoors. I have a large field directly behind my apartment and live in a very pet-friendly area tucked off the main road so your pup will enjoy lots of safe and supervised outside time! I allow animals on the furniture and keep all choking hazards up high. My dog has a knack for finding even the smallest things to mess with so I have good practice with keeping a safe home.

About: I’ve been around dogs my whole life, my family had some growing up and once I moved out I got 2 of my own. I’ve also watched many neighbors and friends dogs since i was young and feel more than comfortable taking them out, administering medicine, and loving on them! Fur babies are family and should be treated as such! And that’s exactly the kind of care I would show your fur baby. Dogs are creatures of habit, so it’s important for me to know what your routine looks like so I can try my best to keep it the same. It will be as if you’re not even gone! I work from home so my days are extremely flexible. Aside from occasional meetings and needing to administer my own dog his medication three times a day (6am, 2pm and 10pm) I have an open schedule to check in on your baby. If you were to bring your dog to me, they would be in a spacious little townhome with an open yard. All I ask is that your dog is friendly with other dogs, as I have 2 at home that would be there with us. One is a staffordshire terrier/husky mix, and the other is a border collie. They all would get plenty of walks and playtime together. If I were to drop in at your home, I would take whatever care necessary! What that looks like is up to you. Taking your dog on a walk, administering medicine, playing with them, whatever you and your pet need!

About: I’ve always been a huge lover of animals ever since I was little and have always had a passion for providing them the best care possible. I have nearly three years of Veterinary experience working as an assistant and am currently attending college to further my education in veterinary medicine. Over the years I’ve assisted with my mom’s petsitting business, volunteered and fostered with my local shelter and have taken various animal care based classes throughout my college career. I have experience with pets of nearly every temperament, age and special needs and have provided care for animals in various different circumstances through sickness and in health. I’ve lived in the Blacksburg area for almost a year now after accepting admission into Virginia Tech. Currently I’m working a part time job over the summer where I have been working early mornings starting at 5am and ending around 11am. I’m able to provide early morning care before my shift and in the afternoon when I am off. Along with care in the evening time as well. Unfortunately I am unable to do petsitting out of my own home but I will strive to give your pets the best care out of your home. About: taken care of dogs big and small since I was 17 Neighbors, friends and family have relied on me to walk and feed because it doesn’t feel like a job to me. I am Currently unemployed and I am also currently looking for a side hustle and I think this would be a great fit for me I will take good care of the owners pet from their house. My parents will only let me take care of the dog at the clients house so they will not be coming to mine.

About: I have worked at a humane society shelter as a volunteer for years in Michigan. I have fostered animals as well as helped dogs and cats give birth. I have experience with pet sitting and taking care of pets. I believe pets are our children. I have open flexibility and can give many references on how trust worthy i am as i owned a cleaning business here in nrv for 10 plus years licensed and insured. While at a clients home I will make sure the home stays cleaned up from the pet and goes on its normal scheduled walks and or care. While the pet is at my home it will have its own personal area that is kept well and it won't interact with our cats. Walks and playtime will be included.
