About: When my parents met they had three rottweilers all together, and that’s what I grew up with. In addition to living with many pets of my own I fostered for the SPCA (mostly puppies and litters of kittens), where I also volunteered in person. I have 4 years experience working at PetSmart where I taught myself proper animal care, and my current job is at a state park where I care for the visitor center’s animals (two snakes and a turtle). I have experience with dogs and cats of all ages and plenty of exotic pet knowledge. Animal care is my passion! I am enrolled at Virginia Tech and work a part-time job. I have availability around those hours where I’ll also be caring for my own cats! I’m happy to provide what ever care I can for your pet in your own home, while remaining respectful of your space. A bulleted list is often very helpful for me. I even have experience administering all kinds of medication if needed.

“Natasha is great! Very responsive and took great care of my cat. I highly recommend her to any one looking for a sitter and will be asking for her help again.”
About: I have over 500 hours of dog watching and raising experience (outside of my own pets) and spent over 800 hours volunteering cat care for kittens and disabled kitties I am a grad student with a totally flexible schedule and can work from home easily if needed! I will be able to incorporate your pet into my routine seamlessly. I also have the ability to fully care for your pet at their own home. I am able to be there often if needed or can stop by for occasional visits based off your own needs.
About: I’ve been working with animals for several years— starting with a veterinary science-focused high school, earning my bachelor’s in pre-veterinary medicine, and now as a 4th-year veterinary student preparing to become a veterinarian in May. I’ve cared for neighbors’ and friends’ pets, worked at a dog boarding facility, and gained valuable hands-on experience at two veterinary hospitals. I’m comfortable with administering medications and providing care for puppies, seniors, and pets with special needs. Your pet’s safety, comfort, and happiness are my top priorities. My availability changes quite often as I am a vet student on clinical rotations so my schedule is not consistent. I frequently update my calendar to reflect my current availability! I prioritize your pet’s safety and comfort during walks and drop-in visits by closely observing them and following your routines/instructions. I’ll always communicate promptly with you if anything arises to ensure your pet’s happiness and well-being.
“Has so much patience and kindness! I really appreciated her patience and understanding with me as this was my first time using Rover! I would definitely use her again!”

“Rachel was great with my kitties. My kitties were still a bit new to each other but Rachel made me feel at ease that they’d be safe! She sent lots of pictures and gave me updates on meals.”

“Gillian was an amazing pet sitter for Bubu! She was very attentive, friendly, and great with communication. It’s clear that she loves animals- and loves taking care of them as well. I came home to a very happy kitty!!! :)”

“James was a great sitter for our dog, Teddy. He followed all of our care instructions, kept us updated with photos, and made sure Teddy had everything he needed while we were away. When we got home, Teddy was calm, relaxed, and settled right back into his routine. We’d be happy to book with James again.”

About: Hello! I love all types of pets and currently have two dogs of my own. I am a student at Virginia-Maryland college of veterinary medicine trying to earn some extra money by doing what I love, playing with pets. I have experience with all types of pets at varying sizes and personalities. During my undergraduate career, I raised two Seeing Eye Dogs and helped other raisers with training. During this time, I worked at a veterinary hospital, participated in animal specific events like vaccination clinics, and groomed. From healthy puppies and kittens to seniors who need medication, I have seen it all and am prepared to help with whatever your pet needs. I hope I can meet your fur babies and shower them with love while you’re away. I offer additional grooming services, ask about them if your interested. As someone who owns two dogs, pet care is a priority in my life. Both of my pups get plenty of one-on-one time as well as long walks and enrichment in the house. During the day, the pups are crated while I am at school, but if my boyfriend is off of work they get to run around and play. As soon as I get home the dogs get taken out and fed. Along with daily care, I take care of all of their grooming and medical needs as well. I currently live in apartment complex which has a dog play area for your furry friends to get plenty of exercise. There is also a trail connected to the complex which will be utilized for long walks and plenty of sniffing opportunities. Both of my pups are very friendly and would be happy to be your pet’s playmate during their stay.

About: I’ve been around animals my whole life and currently care for three cats and two dogs of my own, so I’m very comfortable handling different personalities and energy levels. I’ve also pet sat for neighbors, with experience in feeding routines, playtime, and keeping pets comfortable while their owners are away. I’m attentive, reliable, and always focused on making sure pets feel safe, happy, and well cared for. While I’m newer to professional dog walking, I’m confident handling dogs and happy to follow any specific instructions to match your pet’s routine! Pet care fits easily into my routine, and I make it a priority to give pets the time and attention they deserve. I’m fully available on Mondays and Tuesdays, with flexible availability throughout the rest of the week. I currently work part-time, but I have consistent availability for drop-ins, visits, and short-term care. I’m happy to be flexible and work with your schedule to make sure your pet is well cared for. I treat every pet like they’re my own. During drop-ins, I follow your routines, give plenty of attention and play, and keep your home safe and tidy. On walks, I stay close, keep dogs on leash, and watch out for anything that could be unsafe. My goal is always happy, comfortable pets, and peace of mind for you.
“Great communication and flexible with drop in times. I can tell she loves animals and truly cared about my dog while I was away. I would definitely ask her to pet sit again!”

About: While most of my experience is with cats, I am also comfortable caring for small to medium dogs and following clear routines and care instructions. I have volunteered as a dog walker with a local adoption agency in Northern Virginia, helping socialize dogs and prepare them for adoption events. I have a flexible schedule and am able to provide morning, midday, and evening care. I prioritize maintaining your pet's established routine and can accommodate overnight stays or drop-in visits throughout the week. I care for pets in their own home to maintain comfort and minimize stress. I follow established routines closely and will keep all spaces clean. I provide regular updates and photos so owners can feel relieved and confident that their pets are happy and healthy. I make sure to include as much playtime as well as care time as much as possible.

About: I've taken care of dogs ever since I can remember. I've watched friends, family & neighbors dogs as well as rescued dogs that I've had sent to rescues for the breed. I love bringing them to dog parks if possible and consented by owner. I work as an entrepreneur wich helps me to have extra time to do with as I please. I can almost set my own time Feed them, let them out to pee, play with them and take them on hikes or to the dog parks. I also can bathe if needed.
“Sam took such wonderful care of our dear little cat, Alaska. Alaska got lots of cuddles and attention while we were away and really took a liking to Sam. We will absolutely work with Sam in the future, and we recommend Sam to anyone looking for a responsible, caring, communicative, and attentive pet sitter! Thank you so much, Sam!!”
“Sarah is the best pet-sitter and is someone I hope to have watch my cat again in the future! She really understands pets and instantly connected with my cat. She is prompt and provides lots of photos and notes from each visit. I felt at ease during my trip knowing that Sarah was there!”

About: I am a new sitter on Rover, but don’t let that put you off. :) My family has never known a time where we didn’t have pets! When I was five years old, my parents entrusted to me a sweet black kitty for whom I was solely responsible for. Not only did this experience affirm my love for animals, but it also jumpstarted me into a world of responsibility! Since then, we have rescued dogs and cats of all shapes and sizes, happily welcoming “bully” breeds and giving them all the love and care they deserve! I’ve cared for elderly dogs and cats with and without disabilities, as well as those who need certain medications or injections. Further, big breeds do not intimidate me- I love them! Perhaps most importantly, I will love and care for your pet as if it were my own! ❤️ I am currently a graduate student at Virginia Tech, and as such, my weekdays are fairly busy until the evenings. If you need overnight care on the weekdays, let me know and we can work something out! I typically have a couple meetings in the mornings that I can conduct on zoom, but I do have in person class from 2-5 that I will need to leave your home for. Fridays and weekends, however, are wide open! I have two sweet, playful cats currently and live in an apartment, so it is likely that care will be provided in your house! I often find this is better anyway, as your pet is already comfortable in their home and less likely to feel stress with change.
“Sophia was so wonderful with our two dogs! We had to go out of town suddenly and she was so helpful! She kept us updated on how they were doing and was just an absolute godsend! Can not say enough great things about her!”

“Riane did an excellent job of taking care of my fur babies. She even took treats to my skittish cat under the bed where she was hiding. She took time to play with them and gave them love and attention.”

About: My family has always had a bunch of different pets and animals. We have had Chihuahuas, Shih Tzus, Pitbulls and Labs and I am happy to take care of any of your animals. I am more than willing to take your furry friends out for walks, give food, baths, or medicine and clean up any mess they make! I am currently working part-time, not all day and not everyday, so I have plenty of time to take care of your pets however you prefer. When caring for pets in my client's home, I ensure they receive personalized attention, including feeding, walking, playtime, and any necessary medications. I follow their routines closely, maintain a clean environment, and provide regular updates to the owners for peace of mind.
