She is open to communication and has formed a tangible bond with Mr. Percy the cat. Always feel at ease about leaving him in her care. Just my take on it, but Hunter genuinely cares for the animals she looks after. You'd be lucky to have her care for your pets!”

About: When my parents met they had three rottweilers all together, and that’s what I grew up with. In addition to living with many pets of my own I fostered for the SPCA (mostly puppies and litters of kittens), where I also volunteered in person. I have 4 years experience working at PetSmart where I taught myself proper animal care, and my current job is at a state park where I care for the visitor center’s animals (two snakes and a turtle). I have experience with dogs and cats of all ages and plenty of exotic pet knowledge. Animal care is my passion! I am enrolled at Virginia Tech and work a part-time job. I have availability around those hours where I’ll also be caring for my own cats! I’m happy to provide what ever care I can for your pet in your own home, while remaining respectful of your space. A bulleted list is often very helpful for me. I even have experience administering all kinds of medication if needed.

About: I am a new sitter on Rover, but don’t let that put you off. :) My family has never known a time where we didn’t have pets! When I was five years old, my parents entrusted to me a sweet black kitty for whom I was solely responsible for. Not only did this experience affirm my love for animals, but it also jumpstarted me into a world of responsibility! Since then, we have rescued dogs and cats of all shapes and sizes, happily welcoming “bully” breeds and giving them all the love and care they deserve! I’ve cared for elderly dogs and cats with and without disabilities, as well as those who need certain medications or injections. Further, big breeds do not intimidate me- I love them! Perhaps most importantly, I will love and care for your pet as if it were my own! ❤️ I am currently a graduate student at Virginia Tech, and as such, my weekdays are fairly busy until the evenings. If you need overnight care on the weekdays, let me know and we can work something out! I typically have a couple meetings in the mornings that I can conduct on zoom, but I do have in person class from 2-5 that I will need to leave your home for. Fridays and weekends, however, are wide open! I have two sweet, playful cats currently and live in an apartment, so it is likely that care will be provided in your house! I often find this is better anyway, as your pet is already comfortable in their home and less likely to feel stress with change.

I own 2 cats and took care of our family dog and cats as my weekly "chores" throughout my childhood, so I've been doing this for a long time now. Some other pets that i've owned include: rabbits, gerbils, fish, aquatic snails, and a hedgehog! Rest assured that I'm always available to tend to your pet in case of an emergency. I'm available nearly any time because I set my own work schedule, and it is usually flexible for me to show up for something when needed. I can also switch things around when necessary. I'm flexible to work with. I'm more than happy to send picture updates and to take care of any special needs that your pet(s) might have! I will always be there to attend to their needs on schedule and will treat them with the same love and care that my own pets receive.
