“I was hesitant about using Rover. But Emily made me 100%know that I made the correct choice. She was so patient with our big boy Axel. Plus I love the updates and photos.”

“Sam was great at communication and adjusting to my schedule when I was out of town. Sam took great care of my cat and made me feel so much better about leaving her for two weeks! Thanks Sam!”

About: I always grew up with my own animals and knew I wanted to to be a veterinarian one day. When I was in high school I started my own dog walking business to make some money and then eventually got a job at a local veterinarian at 16. Now I am going into my second year of vet school and need a way to fill some of my free time. Due to my busy class schedule I am only able to have a cat right now, so I really enjoy spending extra time with dogs! My goal is to adopt one by the end of vet school. Throughout the years in this field I have gained so many skills. I can give medications, injections, aid with puppies and older animals, help with difficult patients, recognize dog behavior/body language, and more. I’m currently working two days a week at a veterinary office so the rest of the time I can devote to pet sitting! Unfortunately, my schedule does change week to week. I currently live in an apartment that has lots of walking trails around it! I have one cat who does well with dogs, she will spend most of her day in my room under my bed. Only one of my neighbors has a dog which is a Pomeranian.

“Rachel is a wonderful cat sitter! My cats were very happy and well taken care of, and even Bella, who is very shy around new people, warmed up to her. Rachel was also very easy to talk to and sent daily updates.”

“Gracie was amazing and very flexible! She helped us so much since we were traveling and one of our pups wasn't being cooperative and she came and saved the day because we had a wedding to host!❤️”

“Hunter is very caring and attentive she’s all about the animals and that’s very comforting when I’m away on a long trip. My cat Rogue can be a handful she’s very independent and protective but Hunter managed to break the ice and make Rogue feel comfortable. Will definitely book Hunter again!”

“We were so worried about our non social dogs getting to know a new person. Whitney knew exactly how to handle Hank. After a couple visits he loves her or the treats (not sure) but we feel comfortable with her being able to come in the house without us. Whitney is great!”

“Lisa took awesome care of our three wonderful cats while we went away for a couple of days, and we would definitely recommend her to any other pet parents in the area!”

“Machalah was great with Mischa and gave detailed updates and photos each visit! She was very communicative throughout everything.”

“Katelyn did a fantastic job with our cats! Thanks so much! 🐈 🐈⬛ 🐈”

“Marquesa was awesome, the cats really enjoyed her company, and she was so good. We have a three-legged cat and Marquesa helped keep her clean and give the other one meds. She was so kind, helpful, responsive and professional. Would absolutely have her watch our cats again.”

“My dog and two cats were well taken care of.”

“Jessica took such great care of my cat! She was ready and willing to learn how to administer his inhaler, medication, and special food. She spent time giving him lots of love and making sure to always give me thorough updates. I definitely will be using her next time I go on vacation!”

“Gillian was an amazing pet sitter for Bubu! She was very attentive, friendly, and great with communication. It’s clear that she loves animals- and loves taking care of them as well. I came home to a very happy kitty!!! :)”

“Chris and Carmen did a fantastic job with Cooper! I will absolutely ask them to care for him again! Best part was pictures sent with each visit.”

About: Hello! My name is Karissa and I am a big animal lover. I've had dogs and cats my whole life, and have always enjoyed spending time with and caring for them. I have trained and competed in agility with my Australian shepherds, and I have worked with and trained dogs of all ages. I have also cared for and loved many cats (both my own and for clients and friends). I am on the Virginia Tech polo team, and we are in charge of all aspects of care for our 13 horses during the school year. I have ridden and cared for over 100 horses since I was young. Through these experiences, I have administered medications, handled behavioral issues, fed a variety of foods, and cared for and diagnosed illnesses and injuries. My goal is to make sure your pets feel safe, cared for, and loved while their favorite people are away. Your pet should feel like they are on vacation too! I am on break from school right now, and hybrid interning part time here in Blacksburg. I am very available and excited to spend time with your pets! Because I offer care in your home, I strive to ensure that you and your pets feel safe, respected, and cared for. I emphasize safety, privacy, cleanliness, and happy animals. Especially with the temporary change in caregiver, I believe it is extremely important to maintain the routine your pets are used to while you are away, with maybe a couple extra treats (with permission, of course) :) Above all, I adhere to the care rules and instructions given to me, because you know your pets better than anyone.

About: I've been raising dogs and cats since I was 8 years old. So far, I've had 3 dogs and 4 cats. I really enjoy playing with them and cherish their company. I could do pet sitting with a flexible time. Negotiations for the time is welcomed as long as we could talk about it ahead of time I ensure pets and fed and watered regularly, clean their living spaces, take them for walks, and provide affection and attention. I would always leash the dogs and pick up the poo-poo.

About: I am a proud mom and fur mom. I work during the day however I am home each night. I have 14 plus years of experience with both cats and dogs and now 4 years of experience with IVDD in dogs. I have grown up with pets in my home since I was little and I know that these animals are just as much a part of a family as kids are and can designate all the love and attention to your furry friend as if you were there. My beagle mix was paralyzed due to IVDD and now have experience in relieving bladders and range of motion exercises. I currently work during the day so I am available during the week after two and all weekend unless my son has sports or whatever in which I’ll post that I am not available. I have a fenced in yard that provides plenty of room to run and play. I also love taking photos of fur babies so you’ll regularly get updates.
