“Sam took such wonderful care of our dear little cat, Alaska. Alaska got lots of cuddles and attention while we were away and really took a liking to Sam. We will absolutely work with Sam in the future, and we recommend Sam to anyone looking for a responsible, caring, communicative, and attentive pet sitter! Thank you so much, Sam!!”
“Amber was very informative throughout the whole process. She updated me every visit and sent me plenty of pictures! She was also very proficient with caring for my diabetic dog who needed insulin injections. I would definitely recommend her and appreciate all her love and care to my pets! ?”

“Rachel is a wonderful cat sitter! My cats were very happy and well taken care of, and even Bella, who is very shy around new people, warmed up to her. Rachel was also very easy to talk to and sent daily updates.”

“She was fantastic!! We have house cams and can verify that she is always timely, always respectful of our home, and was very kind and loving with my cats. I will be hiring her again for my next trip because she was worth every penny. Thank you, again!”

About: I have had a family dog and a cat for 10+ years. I recently got my own dog the summer of 2021 and she has been with me at college in Virginia. As a college student with a dog I have learned many skills in taking care of my dog Lola! I am currently a junior at Roanoke College! Dog walking is something I’m happy to do and enjoy doing! I would love to help anyone who may need assistance with walking/checking on their dog(s). At home my family has a fenced in yard, but we don’t like to let our dogs roam without super vision. We sit outside with them while they roam around in the woods. I also love to take Lola out of structured walks in our local park.
About: Hello! I love all types of pets and currently have two dogs of my own. I am a student at Virginia-Maryland college of veterinary medicine trying to earn some extra money by doing what I love, playing with pets. I have experience with all types of pets at varying sizes and personalities. During my undergraduate career, I raised two Seeing Eye Dogs and helped other raisers with training. During this time, I worked at a veterinary hospital, participated in animal specific events like vaccination clinics, and groomed. From healthy puppies and kittens to seniors who need medication, I have seen it all and am prepared to help with whatever your pet needs. I hope I can meet your fur babies and shower them with love while you’re away. I offer additional grooming services, ask about them if your interested. As someone who owns two dogs, pet care is a priority in my life. Both of my pups get plenty of one-on-one time as well as long walks and enrichment in the house. During the day, the pups are crated while I am at school, but if my boyfriend is off of work they get to run around and play. As soon as I get home the dogs get taken out and fed. Along with daily care, I take care of all of their grooming and medical needs as well. I currently live in apartment complex which has a dog play area for your furry friends to get plenty of exercise. There is also a trail connected to the complex which will be utilized for long walks and plenty of sniffing opportunities. Both of my pups are very friendly and would be happy to be your pet’s playmate during their stay.

About: With many years of hands-on experience in pet sitting, I bring more than just reliability—I bring genuine love and attention to every animal I care for. What truly sets me apart is my ability to connect with animals, especially dogs. I don’t just feed and walk—I bond, play, and provide the same care and affection they’d receive from you. I'm highly attentive to their behavior and needs, ensuring they're not only safe, but also happy and at ease while you're away. Whether your furry friend needs a playmate, a cuddle buddy, or a calm and reassuring presence, I’m here to give them all the love they deserve. Pet care is a natural and fulfilling part of my daily life. I work part-time at a restaurant, usually during evening shifts, which means my mornings and afternoons are open and flexible—perfect for walks, feedings, playtime, or check-ins. Even after my shifts, I’m available for nighttime drop-ins or cuddles before bed. My schedule allows me to give pets the consistent attention, care, and companionship they need throughout the day. Because I truly enjoy spending time with animals, caring for them never feels like a chore—it’s something I look forward to every day. Whether I’m caring for pets in my own home or in a client’s, my goal is always the same: to create a safe, calm, and loving environment where pets feel secure and cared for. In My Home: When pets stay with me, I provide a pet-friendly space with plenty of room to relax, play, and feel comfortable. I stick to their usual routines as closely as possible—feeding times, walks, medication, and bedtime habits—so they feel right at home. They get plenty of one-on-one attention, playtime, and affection throughout the day. In Clients' Homes: When caring for pets in their own home, I make sure to respect and follow all routines, instructions, and preferences. I know how important consistency is for animals, especially when their humans are away. I keep their space clean, monitor their behavior and health closely, and always provide loving companionship—whether that means play, cuddles, or quiet time, depending on the pet’s personality.

About: I am a new sitter on Rover, but don’t let that put you off. :) My family has never known a time where we didn’t have pets! When I was five years old, my parents entrusted to me a sweet black kitty for whom I was solely responsible for. Not only did this experience affirm my love for animals, but it also jumpstarted me into a world of responsibility! Since then, we have rescued dogs and cats of all shapes and sizes, happily welcoming “bully” breeds and giving them all the love and care they deserve! I’ve cared for elderly dogs and cats with and without disabilities, as well as those who need certain medications or injections. Further, big breeds do not intimidate me- I love them! Perhaps most importantly, I will love and care for your pet as if it were my own! ❤️ I am currently a graduate student at Virginia Tech, and as such, my weekdays are fairly busy until the evenings. If you need overnight care on the weekdays, let me know and we can work something out! I typically have a couple meetings in the mornings that I can conduct on zoom, but I do have in person class from 2-5 that I will need to leave your home for. Fridays and weekends, however, are wide open! I have two sweet, playful cats currently and live in an apartment, so it is likely that care will be provided in your house! I often find this is better anyway, as your pet is already comfortable in their home and less likely to feel stress with change.
About: Having cared for a number of dogs of different breeds, ages, and temperaments, I am experienced and dedicated to caring for and providing exercise to dogs. I am responsible and caring, which ensures your dog(s) the best care possible. I treat all dogs I meet as I treat my own. My flexible schedule allows me to care for your dog(s) at whatever time you may need and my dedication to doing this work will make you and your dog(s) happy. I am a responsible and dedicated dog-lover. There are many dogs in the area that I have cared for repeatedly, and dog owners always end up happy! I will be in constant contact with you as I care for your dog, sending pics and updates! I currently work full-time downtown, but have a very flexible schedule - great for drop in visits mid day, or long walks before and/or after work! I’m happy to make my schedule work for you. I can accommodate anything you say your dog needs. If caring for your dog within your home, I strive to keep their lifestyle as close to their normal routine as possible.
