About: My family adopted a 10 month old rescue pup, Charlie, when I was 7 years old. For the 12 years that I got to spend with him he was my best friend. Although he was stronger than me the first few years of his life, I was still involved in his training and feeding care until I was big enough to take him out and walk him. Once I could handle him, I took him out, walked him, and helped give baths. As an adult, I have done multiple pet-sitting jobs for neighbors and family friends. I have taken care of dogs and cats of all ages. My job experience includes retail, landscaping, and food/bar service. Working late nights in downtown Blacksburg, I have become keen at cleaning up messes of all kinds. This summer, my schedule is wide open! I play pool a couple of nights a week, but that doesn't last for more than a few hours and I can always go late/leave early to get back to the pets. When the school year starts, I will schedule pet sitting around my class schedule. I am equipped to handle dogs of almost any size on a leash, and I love to play fetch in a yard/at the park. I can keep food and water bowls clean and full, I can crate dogs if needed, and I can keep a litter box clean!

About: Growing up with large breeds (Bernese Mountain Dog & German Shepard), I’ve always been a lover of all pets, especially dogs. Since relocating to Blacksburg area for work 8 years ago, I’ve pet sat for a variety of animals in the region, ranging from puppies to senior dogs with specific medical needs. It would be an honor to meet and care for your pets! I work full time at VT with some remote days per week, so it can be a flexible schedule. I am happy to adjust schedules or remote days to meet your pets needs! I don’t have any pets in my current home, so I’m flexible to either board at my townhouse or stay at the pets home! About: I had a a mixed breed dog she lived until she was about 11 years old. She had a heart murmur and a really bad knee so I know how to help support a dog that might have health problems or mobility issues. I have taken care of another larger dog of border collie blue heeler mix that has battled dislocating hips, throwing out her back and cancer. She is 11 now I have worked with a senior Great Pyrenees and I know these aren’t dogs, but I have taken care of multiple rescue animals from anything from fish all the way up to a cat and I have nursed every single one of them back to health so I do have experience giving animals medicines My schedule is a little bit all over the place. I never really know exactly what days I am off or not but as of right now, I should be available between 11 a.m. to about 2 PM but depending on the day I can work later I will make sure that your pet will not get into anything. It’s not supposed to make sure your pet does not escape your house. I will follow your instructions of how you want me to take care to your pet if your pet is to be let outside in a gate I will make sure that the gate is locked and secured if your dog needs to be chained outside. I will make sure that the chain and whatever it is secure to is stable and the dog will not get loose. I will ensure your pet safety if I’m walking your dog or if it’s in your house, I will make sure that no other animal comes after your pet. If I am at your home, I’m not gonna let anybody into your home that you do not personally know and without your verbal consent that that person can enter your home.

About: I’ve cared for cats, dogs, and chickens my whole life and currently share my home with three cats, so multi-pet households and juggling different feeding routines are second nature to me. I’m comfortable with everything from energetic puppies and kittens to anxious or reactive pets who need a calm, patient presence and a little extra trust-building. I also volunteer at my local animal nonprofit so caring for animals is a real part of my life. Whether it’s house sitting, drop-in visits, or dog walks, I follow your pet’s routine closely and send photo updates so you can relax while you’re away. I work a standard 9–5 on weekdays, so I’m available for morning, evening, and overnight visits during the week, plus weekends. There could be exceptions that come up, but I’ll always confirm timing in advance and stick closely to your pet’s usual feeding and walk schedule. Since I care for pets in your home, I treat your space with respect and follow your instructions to the letter. I keep doors and gates secured, always leash dogs before heading out, and stay alert to each pet’s comfort and body language. I lock up when I leave and send photo updates so you know everyone’s safe and happy.

About: I am an avid animal lover. So when friends, family, and friends of friends have looked for pet sitters they come to me! I have experience with dogs as little as Chihuahuas to as big as Rottweilers and we all know who is more feisty ;) I work during the week but am available for walks after 5pm. I am available for boarding all day on the weekends or during the week if your pets are low-needs during the day! I have a private 3+ acre yard with a kenneled in area if needed. I have crates for my dogs and more than happy to crate yours if needed. I am willing to accommodate most needs/request as long as you are willing to communicate!

About: Over the past 16 years, I've cared for just about any animal you can imagine! A flying squirrel, a 15-foot python, dogs, cats, horses and more. I have my own pup of seven years and we absolutely love welcoming friends into our home. We live on a .4 acre lot in central Christiansburg and I have an incredibly flexible schedule so we're up for anything! Let me put your mind at ease as being away from your beloved pets is hard enough. I'll send multiple updates throughout the day and lots of pictures. Happy to care for any and all animals. I'm working full-time in ministry so I have lots of time throughout the day to care for your loved one and will be gone no more than a few hours per evening for bible studies and groups. I take my dog, Tonka, out 5-6 times per day minimum and we love to go on walks and be outdoors. I have a large field directly behind my home and live in a very pet-friendly area tucked off the main road so your pup will enjoy lots of safe and supervised outside time! I allow animals on the furniture and keep all choking hazards up high. My dog has a knack for finding even the smallest things to mess with so I have good practice with keeping a safe home.
