I have lifelong experience caring for animals - I grew up with five cats, two Guinea pigs, and four birds! Petsitting for my neighbor’s dogs was my very first job as a kid and I have been doing it for friends, family, and coworkers ever since. I have experience caring for elderly and disabled animals, those with particular feeding schedules or allergies, and am comfortable administering medications for your pets as needed. About: Have had dogs all my life, small/large and medically complex needing meds, love to train, have done cat sitting for medical cats and normal ones I am currently a student in college but only have 2 classes a per week, also am active and am willing to change schedules around :) I am currently not taking pets for boarding as I have my own dog now, but would love to take care of your pets at your home and provide them with enrichment whenever you need/want.

About: I have lived with dogs my entire life and have been tasked with taking care of others dogs as well. About: I have over 500 hours of dog watching and raising experience (outside of my own pets) and spent over 800 hours volunteering cat care for kittens and disabled kitties I am a grad student with a totally flexible schedule and can work from home easily if needed! About: I am a lover of all animals! You can trust me with your rodents, reptiles, cats, dogs, and birds! I have experience with most common household pets as well as administering medication to them. My experience working at the vet makes me the perfect person to watch your furry friends. I’m currently trying to find a job in the Blacksburg/Christiansburg area but until then I am looking to pet sit. I do online classes, so I will have plenty of time to spend with your pets! In my house, we do not smoke or vape inside, for the cat’s health. They are all inside cats, and fully vaccinated as well as spayed. They have strict feeding schedules which are always followed to a T. My cat, Pop Smoke, receives eye drops daily so if you need someone who you can trust to administer medication, that’s me! I can also give pills, liquid medication, and administer insulin.

About: I am a new sitter on Rover, but don’t let that put you off. :) My family has never known a time where we didn’t have pets! When I was five years old, my parents entrusted to me a sweet black kitty for whom I was solely responsible for. Not only did this experience affirm my love for animals, but it also jumpstarted me into a world of responsibility! Since then, we have rescued dogs and cats of all shapes and sizes, happily welcoming “bully” breeds and giving them all the love and care they deserve! I’ve cared for elderly dogs and cats with and without disabilities, as well as those who need certain medications or injections. Further, big breeds do not intimidate me- I love them! Perhaps most importantly, I will love and care for your pet as if it were my own! ❤️ I am currently a graduate student at Virginia Tech, and as such, my weekdays are fairly busy until the evenings. If you need overnight care on the weekdays, let me know and we can work something out! I typically have a couple meetings in the mornings that I can conduct on zoom, but I do have in person class from 2-5 that I will need to leave your home for. Fridays and weekends, however, are wide open! I have two sweet, playful cats currently and live in an apartment, so it is likely that care will be provided in your house! I often find this is better anyway, as your pet is already comfortable in their home and less likely to feel stress with change.

About: I’ve looked after my neighborhood pets since I was 13. I’ve primarily cared for dogs and cats, but I’ve also looked after hermit crabs, a bearded dragon, fish, and canaries. I’ve looked after all different kinds of dogs of all different ages. I have experience with both crate trained and free-roaming dogs as well. Owners trust me to make sure water bowls are always full, follow their usual feeding times as best as I can, have nice walks outside, as well as spend some time playing before I head out. I am back home from college for the summer looking for a part-time job, so my days are mostly free to look after your pets! When visiting your pet at your home, I’d give them time to get used to my scent. I’m comfortable with both crate trained pets and free roaming pets. I take this position very seriously and will take the best care of your pets while you’re away!

About: I’ve taken care of all types of animals such as dogs, cats, birds, etc. I’m willing to take care of any types of pets! When I go home from school I have three cats and two dogs. I’ve watched my neighbors, friends, and family’s pets for a couple hours to a couple of days. I’m a full time student at Virginia Tech, however all of my classes are in the morning, so my schedule is extremely flexible throughout the week. During the summer I’m mainly just working at a local vet clinic, so my schedule is still pretty flexible! I will always make it a priority to ask if there are any specific needs or instructions for the pet I am taking care of. I make sure that I give the animal I am watching extra attention, so they can feel as comfortable as possible with me, while their owner is away!

About: I love caring for all animals. I do have previous experience taking care of puppies as well but am willing to look after all ages. I have large breaks in my days between and after my classes so I am always available to help whenever needed. I am also available all day on weekends if necessary. About: I’ve taken care of my family’s animals for over 10 years. I also have worked as a veterinary assistant since 2020. I graduated undergrad in 2022. I’m currently a full time veterinary assistant at VMCVM ICU. I currently work an overnight schedule but am available during the day! I will be returning to vet school again in January after a short leave of absence I’m able to walk, feed, give medications, and play with your animals! I’m comfortable with all types of animals with a variety of health problems and temperaments. I currently work night shift so I’m available most times during the day! I also am free all weekends so I have plenty of time to spend time with your pets! I currently live in a house with a fenced in yard. I care for my own dog and have him run around the yard for lots of exercise. Although I wouldn’t be using my house for stays, I am more than happy to spend the same amount of time caring for your pets!

About: I love animals and have cared for animals my entire life. I completed a Certification in Veterinary Assisting in 2019 and have over 500 hours of Veterinary clinical experience including dogs, cats, horses, and exotic animals. I have worked and cared for sick and healthy animals while working in this clinic, as well as having pets at home for the past 15 years of my life. I have cared for senior animals as well as female animals in heat. I love the animals I care for and watch as if they were my own! I am currently a full time employee at the University of Georgia remote field station located near Augusta, GA. Weekdays, my hours are very early in the morning, so I have the early morning to do morning care and I should be home from work earlier in the afternoon- making me available to do walks, feeding, training, check-ins, show some love to my animals I am currently boarding in the evening. My weekends are open! I have many walking areas near my home, as well as 2 dog parks within a 2 minute walk from me and a large green available for dogs to play in. There is a big dog dog park separated from the small dog dog park!

About: My family has owned a dog for six years which I have taken care of. I walk, feed, play with, and take care of her vet and medical needs. I have also done a lot of work with animal hope alliance for 3 years and have ample experience with cats. Here at Tech I have pet-sit for several friends during breaks and weekends! I am a graduate student at VT so I do mainly lab work rather than classes and have a lot of freedom to play around with my schedule to make sure that your pets get my undivided attention whenever needed! My weekends are entirely free, especially for any boarding or home sitting needs! I do live in a apartment, but I am very close to the dog park if you allow that, and have a decent sized fenced in area near my complex that is virtually always empty for pets that don’t socialize well with other pets!

About: I have taken care of animals most of my life, and have had anything from dogs and cats, to chickens and ducks, snakes, goats, llamas, etc. I have successfully trained dogs in basic behavioral skills and administered medication of various forms to all my animals. I also have confidence with even the largest of breeds, having owned a cane corso, among others. I have experience leash training as well as acclimating dogs with new animals and curbing unwanted behavior. I work full- time, but can work with you, especially if I can plan ahead by a week or more. I do occasionally leave town, but again, can generally adjust my schedule accordingly. I prefer to allow animals freedom to roam around if possible, but understand animals have different needs. All walks are leashed, no exceptions unless you have a fully fenced and secure yard you prefer your pet to run around.
