About: I’ve had and been around pets my whole life and have experience with animals of all sizes. I have house-sat, dog walked, and done routine checking on pets for multiple years for friends and family. I also volunteer at the animal shelter to help animals in need I’m currently working part time and only work a few days a week so I am available almost all the time to check in and help out with animals. My long shifts also contain breaks so I can interact with animals throughout the day even while working. I don’t typically stay overnight for house sitting because of the larger time commitment, but if that is something you are interested in I am able to add a small overnight fee to give your animals the care they need. I know how to handle all kinds of pets in all kinds of sizes and I care for each animal as if it were my own. The safety and health of your animal is my top priority while they are under my care.

About: I have over 500 hours of dog watching and raising experience (outside of my own pets) and spent over 800 hours volunteering cat care for kittens and disabled kitties I am a grad student with a totally flexible schedule and can work from home easily if needed! I will be able to incorporate your pet into my routine seamlessly. I also have the ability to fully care for your pet at their own home. I am able to be there often if needed or can stop by for occasional visits based off your own needs.

About: I have cared for dogs my entire life, from my own pets, to taking care of friends and family’s pets. I have assisted in training exercises and am well versed in counting and reinforcing trained behavior. I have 5 years of experience with doggie day care and basic grooming services. I am available on weekdays and weekends for walking, pet sitting, or general pet care needs. I am a full time artist, so my schedule is relatively flexible. About: I have cared for pets of all ages over the years and adopted a pup of my own about two years ago. He’s up to date on all vaccinations and loves other dogs. I have experience with giving medications to animals, caring for both puppies and older pups, and my apartment is hardwood floors so accidents aren’t a problem! I am a graduate assistant and in grad school. This means that I word pretty weird hours and I do a lot of work remotely. I’m home anywhere between 8 hours to 24 hours a day and can rearrange my schedule depending on the needs of the animal. There is a dog park nearby and it’s a safe area. For my pup, and pups I’ve boarded/cared for before, I traditionally feed them in the AM and give them plenty of water. We go to the dog park to start the day and get the energy out. I make sure to leave dog-safe toys on the floor so they know they have stuff to play with and I dog proof the apartment before I leave each time so they don’t get into things they shouldn’t. We go out later in the day to the dog park again to socialize or get the zoomies going. We go back and have a little more food or a snack and then hang out before going out on a walk to end the day. I'm working full-time in ministry so I have lots of time throughout the day to care for your loved one and will be gone no more than a few hours per evening for bible studies and groups. I take my dog, Tonka, out 5-6 times per day minimum and we love to go on walks and be outdoors. I have a large field directly behind my apartment and live in a very pet-friendly area tucked off the main road so your pup will enjoy lots of safe and supervised outside time! I allow animals on the furniture and keep all choking hazards up high. My dog has a knack for finding even the smallest things to mess with so I have good practice with keeping a safe home.

About: I am a stay at home Mom and would love to help other pet owners be at ease knowing their pets are being taken care of while you’re at work or out of town. Being at home allows me to be very flexible with the care you need. My family has both a dog and cat at home, so I’m familiar with the care needed for both. I’ve also cared for an elder dog before needing insulin administered. I am a stay at home mom, so my schedule is very flexible to work with your needs! I’m happy to work with you! I have a large un-fenced yard surrounded by woods; supervised time outside only and on a leash unless you and I both are confident in obedience to come when called. I have a small dog at home who prefers a cuddle buddy over a play mate, but she is friendly with most dogs and loves cats! In the event I leave home I prefer crating until I get to know your pup.

About: My family adopted a 10 month old rescue pup, Charlie, when I was 7 years old. For the 12 years that I got to spend with him he was my best friend. Although he was stronger than me the first few years of his life, I was still involved in his training and feeding care until I was big enough to take him out and walk him. Once I could handle him, I took him out, walked him, and helped give baths. As an adult, I have done multiple pet-sitting jobs for neighbors and family friends. I have taken care of dogs and cats of all ages. My job experience includes retail, landscaping, and food/bar service. Working late nights in downtown Blacksburg, I have become keen at cleaning up messes of all kinds. This summer, my schedule is wide open! I play pool a couple of nights a week, but that doesn't last for more than a few hours and I can always go late/leave early to get back to the pets. When the school year starts, I will schedule pet sitting around my class schedule. I am equipped to handle dogs of almost any size on a leash, and I love to play fetch in a yard/at the park. I can keep food and water bowls clean and full, I can crate dogs if needed, and I can keep a litter box clean!

About: I have previously volunteered at a rescue for 10 years. I have fostered many animals for the rescue and kept some of those as well. I can handle almost anything. I've also had my fair share of special needs animals, so I'm comfortable handling pets whose needs are out of the ordinary. I've also worked with and owned most types of animals ranging from a few weeks old to 20+ years, so I can provide care to very young or very old animals. I just graduated college and am currently between jobs, so I am at home working on my fixer-upper apartment all day. My schedule is entirely flexible! I will be available almost all waking hours of the day. I can stop in on your schedule to provide care and walks, or just stay over to give the pets round the clock care. I will make sure that your pet stays happy and healthy while in my care!

About: I have years of experience caring for my dog and former cats. I am also the kind of person who always finds the dog at a social function, so pet sitting is my favorite job. It is important to note that I live on a military base, and clients who do not have access will need to be checked in. I am mostly free all day Thursday-Tuesday and will be able to provide most of my time to caring for your pets. At home, I feed my dog twice a day, and I take her for impromptu walks 1-3 times a day. I will adhere to a client’s usual schedule if needed. I ensure that bathroom breaks are covered as often as necessary. I pay attention to a dog or cat’s personality or specific needs. I feed pets, play with them, supervise, clean pets and any messes, and take them out for walks or bathroom breaks as needed.

About: I’ve always been a huge lover of animals ever since I was little and have always had a passion for providing them the best care possible. I have nearly three years of Veterinary experience working as an assistant and am currently attending college to further my education in veterinary medicine. About: I’ve been caring for dogs since I was 9 years old, starting with my neighbor’s two senior pups who needed daily medication. Since then, I’ve looked after dogs of all ages, from high-energy puppies to sweet seniors, and I’ve always loved getting to know their unique personalities. I’ve had three dogs of my own. My first was a gentle Bernese Mountain Dog named Hope, and when i’m home from college, I live with my two Mini Australian Shepherds, Maggie and Tobi. They’re almost 9 years old and full of energy and affection. I also regularly care for my sister’s 2-year-old Berner named Keatts, and I help my boyfriend’s family with their four dogs—a Pomeranian and three Dachshunds ranging in age from 1 to 12—whenever they go out of town. I’m comfortable with dogs of all sizes and temperaments. One of my Aussies has fear-based aggression, so I’ve learned how to stay calm, patient, and supportive when working with anxious or reactive dogs. Whether it’s giving medication, keeping a routine, helping a nervous dog feel safe, or just getting their zoomies out with playtime, I always care for every dog like they’re my own. I’m reliable, attentive, and truly love what I do. As a full-time student at Virginia Tech, I have a structured class schedule but also plenty of breaks throughout the day. Those gaps give me the flexibility to care for pets and check in on them regularly—typically every 2–6 hours depending on the day. I make sure to stay available and responsive, and I’m open to adjusting my routine as needed to best fit each animal’s needs. Pet care is something I genuinely enjoy and make time for every day, so if you need someone who’s dependable and easy to reach, I’ll likely be available when you need me. Whether it’s daily drop-ins, long walks, or extended stays, I’m happy to work around your schedule and your pet’s needs. I currently only offer overnight pet care in my apartment. When pets stay with me, I make sure they have a safe, comfortable environment and maintain their normal routines as closely as possible. This includes regular feeding, walks or playtime, and plenty of attention throughout the day and evening. Since I’m home overnight, pets are never left alone for long stretches, and I keep communication open with owners to provide updates and adjust care if needed. I treat every pet like my own, giving them plenty of attention, playtime, and affection. Whether your dog needs regular walks or your cat prefers quiet companionship, I’ll make sure they feel safe, loved, and well cared for in their new environment.

About: I’ve taken care of my family’s animals for over 10 years. I also have worked as a veterinary assistant since 2020. I graduated undergrad in 2022. I’m currently a full time veterinary assistant at VMCVM ICU. I currently work an overnight schedule but am available during the day! I will be returning to vet school again in January after a short leave of absence I’m able to walk, feed, give medications, and play with your animals! I’m comfortable with all types of animals with a variety of health problems and temperaments. I currently work night shift so I’m available most times during the day! I also am free all weekends so I have plenty of time to spend time with your pets! I currently live in a house with a fenced in yard. I care for my own dog and have him run around the yard for lots of exercise. Although I wouldn’t be using my house for stays, I am more than happy to spend the same amount of time caring for your pets!

About: I love animals and have cared for animals my entire life. I completed a Certification in Veterinary Assisting in 2019 and have over 500 hours of Veterinary clinical experience including dogs, cats, horses, and exotic animals. I have worked and cared for sick and healthy animals while working in this clinic, as well as having pets at home for the past 15 years of my life. I have cared for senior animals as well as female animals in heat. I love the animals I care for and watch as if they were my own! I am currently a full time employee at the University of Georgia remote field station located near Augusta, GA. Weekdays, my hours are very early in the morning, so I have the early morning to do morning care and I should be home from work earlier in the afternoon- making me available to do walks, feeding, training, check-ins, show some love to my animals I am currently boarding in the evening. My weekends are open! I have many walking areas near my home, as well as 2 dog parks within a 2 minute walk from me and a large green available for dogs to play in. There is a big dog dog park separated from the small dog dog park!

About: My family has owned a dog for six years which I have taken care of. I walk, feed, play with, and take care of her vet and medical needs. I have also done a lot of work with animal hope alliance for 3 years and have ample experience with cats. Here at Tech I have pet-sit for several friends during breaks and weekends! I am a graduate student at VT so I do mainly lab work rather than classes and have a lot of freedom to play around with my schedule to make sure that your pets get my undivided attention whenever needed! My weekends are entirely free, especially for any boarding or home sitting needs! I do live in a apartment, but I am very close to the dog park if you allow that, and have a decent sized fenced in area near my complex that is virtually always empty for pets that don’t socialize well with other pets!
