About: I’ve been a dog owner of border collies since I was a child. I love all dogs and cats, the calm and even the high energy ones :) I’ve spent years taking care of my own pets (parakeets, rabbits, chinchillas, ferrets, cats and dogs) and so I’m familiar with the needed care for even some exotic animals. I love going for evening runs and since my dog Millie passed away, I’ve been missing having some companions with me :) Hello! I’m currently a student, but I live year-round in Blacksburg. My schedule is very flexible, and I’m available during those odd, weekday hours! Every animal needs different things and a different way of being approached. Some animals need more high energy play time, fast frisbee throws and runs through the park. Some need the slower walks, cuddles on the couch and to stop and smell the flowers. About: I have volunteered at an animal sanctuary where I ensured the well-being of different domesticated animals (chickens, guinea pigs, rabbits, cats, dogs, pigs). When there, I have walked Great Pyrenes dogs and looked after a young puppy. I have experience caring for multiple pets and multiple species at a time. I am passionate about animals and am studying them in college with the hope of pursuing zoo career. I am a full time college student and my availability is dependent on my class schedule. I am mostly free in the afternoons. I cannot work Wednesdays or Fridays. I am willing to visit at night. About: I’ve had and loved pets my entire life! (I was convinced I was going to be a vet until I realized I would very likely sob every time a pet got sick.) From my black lab, Raven, to my cats Lily and Langston, to now, my long-haired chihuahua, Midge, animals are just a part of the day-to-day! Since age 12, I’ve been petsitting for friends, family, and neighbors (including overnight stays) and cared for dogs who are super energetic, playful, and independent to dogs who experience some anxiety and might need a bit more attention❤️!
