About: My family adopted a 10 month old rescue pup, Charlie, when I was 7 years old. For the 12 years that I got to spend with him he was my best friend. Although he was stronger than me the first few years of his life, I was still involved in his training and feeding care until I was big enough to take him out and walk him. Once I could handle him, I took him out, walked him, and helped give baths. As an adult, I have done multiple pet-sitting jobs for neighbors and family friends. I have taken care of dogs and cats of all ages. My job experience includes retail, landscaping, and food/bar service. Working late nights in downtown Blacksburg, I have become keen at cleaning up messes of all kinds. This summer, my schedule is wide open! I play pool a couple of nights a week, but that doesn't last for more than a few hours and I can always go late/leave early to get back to the pets. When the school year starts, I will schedule pet sitting around my class schedule. I am equipped to handle dogs of almost any size on a leash, and I love to play fetch in a yard/at the park. I can keep food and water bowls clean and full, I can crate dogs if needed, and I can keep a litter box clean!

About: I am a stay at home Mom and would love to help other pet owners be at ease knowing their pets are being taken care of while you’re at work or out of town. Being at home allows me to be very flexible with the care you need. My family has both a dog and cat at home, so I’m familiar with the care needed for both. I’ve also cared for an elder dog before needing insulin administered. I am a stay at home mom, so my schedule is very flexible to work with your needs! I’m happy to work with you! I have a large un-fenced yard surrounded by woods; supervised time outside only and on a leash unless you and I both are confident in obedience to come when called. I have a small dog at home who prefers a cuddle buddy over a play mate, but she is friendly with most dogs and loves cats! In the event I leave home I prefer crating until I get to know your pup.

About: Hi there! My name is Lacy, I've taken care of all different shapes and sizes of pets since I was very young. I worked at a doggy day care for a year, as well as a dog walking company in Los Angeles where I took 5-6 dogs at a time for walks/hikes. I have some experience with simple obedience training, such as proper leash manners and basic commands like sit, stay, wait & come. I will be happy to take your dogs on walks or hikes, I'm also happy to take care of cats, birds, rabbits, hamsters, reptiles, etc. Let me know if I can help! Thanks! About: Grown up with dogs my entire life! Had 5 dogs at one time at one point. Owned and comfortable with breeds such as Rottweiler, Golden Retriever, Dachshund, Husky, and more! Free most days as I have breaks in the middle of the day between classes almost every day! Also comfortable pet/house-sitting if we discuss and agree on details/expectations prior! I’ve always treated all pets, most of all dogs a part of the family, both my own and my friends and families pets. I’d treat your dog like I was watching your child because I know that that’s exactly how he or she feels to you!

About: I'm an animal science major with experience with many different types of animals. I have two dogs and a lizard at home, but at school I also take care of cows and calves. I also have a certification in Canine Care and Training. I'm home from college and have a lot of free time, so I can work almost any time or day. I will be taking a summer class, but it is online so I can do that anywhere. I understand how nerve wracking it can be to have a stranger watch and take care of your pet. I will follow any and all instructions to the letter so that you don't have to worry about your pet or home while you are away. I will walk your pets when you say, feed them when you say, and clean up after them should they make a mess.

About: I have cared for my two 9-year old dogs since they were only a couple months old, so I’m comfortable with every stage from wild puppy energy to the slower, gentler needs of senior dogs. Over the years, I’ve handled sickness, medications, picky eating, and even giving IV fluids, so when it comes to pets who need more attention or special care, I am calm, confident, and capable. I also genuinely love getting outdoors and going on long walks, so active pets will get plenty of exercise and fresh air. My dogs mean the world to me, and I will 100% bring that same patient, loving, reliable energy to every pet I look after. You won't ever have to doubt that your animals will be treated with all the affection, consistency, and comfort they deserve. Pet care fits easily into my weekly routine. I only have classes on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and I don’t work another job, so I’m fully available on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and weekends. That means I have plenty of time and flexibility to give your pets all the attention, walks, and care they need. When I’m caring for pets in a client’s home, I’m more than happy to spend the whole day with them. I’m fully available most days and can even do my online classes from your home so your pet has company, comfort, and consistency. I love taking dogs on long walks, keeping them active, and giving them plenty of attention throughout the day. I can also stay overnight if needed. I’m big on keeping each pet’s routine exactly the same. Same feeding schedule, same walk times, same habits they’re used to. I’m very detail‑oriented and great at following instructions, especially since I’ve handled everything from puppy care to senior needs, medications, picky eating, and even IV fluids with my own dogs. There could be exceptions that come up, but I’ll always confirm timing in advance and stick closely to your pet’s usual feeding and walk schedule. Since I care for pets in your home, I treat your space with respect and follow your instructions to the letter. I keep doors and gates secured, always leash dogs before heading out, and stay alert to each pet’s comfort and body language. I lock up when I leave and send photo updates so you know everyone’s safe and happy.

About: I have nearly 2 years of experience as a kennel assistant at a Hayfield Animal Hospital caring for dogs, cats, and exotics of all sizes and personalities. I also was a part of the Edison Academy veterinary science class where we provided grooming services to clients. I’ve taken care of my own dog for 8 years and have pet sat for family and friends. I’m reliable, patient, and focused on making every pet feel safe, comfortable, and well cared for. I also helped train my dog as a puppy and have experience administering medications to pets at my work and will be getting experience as a veterinary assistant this summer.
