About: I've had many animals in my household ever since I can remember, and I know first-hand how our four-legged friends need to be cared for as members of the family. It's important to give pets the love and care they need, and I will ensure your animal(s) are properly tended to during your family's absence! I care for pets in between classes, during my free time, and at night for house sitting! I have a lot of evening and morning availability, and I'm free on most weekends. I've had experience caring for small, medium, and big dogs, along with cats, hamsters, guinea pigs, bunnies, and even a bearded dragon. I ensure they are all fed and taken outside (if needed) under a consistent schedule. Also, don't worry about them being alone and bored, as I absolutely LOVE playing and being with any animals!

About: Animals have been a part of my life since my childhood. Having both cats and dogs in my household, I have been trusted to take care of pets my entire life. I have experience in taking care of both big and small dogs, both personally and professionally taking care of pets belonging to others as well as temporarily taking care of foster animals, even those with health conditions. I have also taken care of cats my whole life, including those that live with other animals such as dogs. To me, taking care of pets is not just a profession, but is an ordinary and enjoyable part of life. I am a current student at Virginia Tech, coming back home for my winter break period, with plenty of time to spare. I am available every day to take care of pets, as I am already actively taking care of my dog, as well as my sister’s cats whenever necessary. I care for my own dog by keeping her active and healthy, through plenty of playtime and walking time. I am able to adjust to whatever my client’s needs will be, and I am available to take pets on walks to keep them active, or even just stay with them to keep them company.

About: While most of my experience is with cats, I am also comfortable caring for small to medium dogs and following clear routines and care instructions. I have volunteered as a dog walker with a local adoption agency in Northern Virginia, helping socialize dogs and prepare them for adoption events. I have a flexible schedule and am able to provide morning, midday, and evening care. I prioritize maintaining your pet's established routine and can accommodate overnight stays or drop-in visits throughout the week. I care for pets in their own home to maintain comfort and minimize stress. I follow established routines closely and will keep all spaces clean. I make sure to include as much playtime as well as care time as much as possible.

About: I've recently graduated with a chemistry degree but pets and wildlife make me happy! Animals put a smile on my face so I would love to meet yours! I own 2 cats and took care of our family dog and cats as my weekly "chores" throughout my childhood, so I've been doing this for a long time now. Some other pets that I've owned: rabbits, gerbils, fish, aquatic snails, and a hedgehog. Rest assured that I'm always available to tend to your pet in case of an emergency. I'm available nearly any time because I set my own work schedule, and it is usually flexible for me to show up for something when needed. I can also switch things around when necessary. I'm flexible to work with. I'm more than happy to send picture updates and to take care of any special needs that your pet(s) might have! I will always be there to attend to their needs on schedule and will treat them with the same love and care that my own pets receive.

About: Ever since I was born I had an animal right by my side . I have learned to take care of animals and provide for them. I have taken care of friends, family and neighbors pets in the past. I also have worked at a dog daycare called tail chasers so I have experience with big dog groups. I’m good with cats as well . I’m experienced with walking multiple dogs at a time because I got 3 myself. I’m currently working 3:30 am to 12:00 pm so I will have plenty time to spend with your animals. I have a new puppy, Zumi, who is teething like crazy, and she was beyond understanding as I fight the good fight to break the razor-sharp teeth habit. She sent me pics and walked her every hour. My house was maintained and clearly respected (I have had a not-so-great experience with a previous sitter). She was very professional and communicative. It was clear she loved animals, and my puppy certainly felt loved up on. I really lucked up on finding her on Rover! I will be using her again.”

About: I am a lover of all animals! You can trust me with your rodents, reptiles, cats, dogs, and birds! I have experience with most common household pets as well as administering medication to them. My experience working at the vet makes me the perfect person to watch your furry friends. I’m currently trying to find a job in the Blacksburg/Christiansburg area but until then I am looking to pet sit. I do online classes, so I will have plenty of time to spend with your pets! In my house, we do not smoke or vape inside, for the cat’s health. They are all inside cats, and fully vaccinated as well as spayed. They have strict feeding schedules which are always followed to a T. My cat, Pop Smoke, receives eye drops daily so if you need someone who you can trust to administer medication, that’s me! I can also give pills, liquid medication, and administer insulin.

About: I’ve been taking care of dogs of all sorts of breeds since I was teen. My friends and family have relied on me to feed, take on walks, and their fury friends while they’re away. I have experience taking care of senior dogs as well as dogs with several different medical needs. I’ve dog sat one dog for a weekend and I’ve also dog sat 6 dogs for a week. Owning several dogs is nothing new to me. Currently working a full-time job from 8:30am - 5:30pm Monday - Friday. If you live in the Christiansburg/Blacksburg area I am able to do drop by visits during my lunch break. Saturday and Sunday I am pretty available. I’ll make sure your fury friend gets let out at appropriate times and have plenty of time to play around if it’s just a drop by visit. Have a dog with a medical condition? No problem I have experience with dogs who have epilepsy and who are allergic to everything under the sun. Senior dogs I understand the importance in being extra patient and gentle with them.

About: I’ve owned a black Labrador(Anna) for over 13 years, she has not once had any sort of health issue as I’ve feed her well, and kept her up to date on vet visits. I’m caring, compassionate, and smart and versatile enough to be calm in any situation that may arise. I assure you that I will treat your pet as if it were my own. This allows me the freedom to stay focused on your pet and be there when other folks have to leave. If a situation ever does arrive my strength are communication so you can rest assured I will be in constant contact, which as a pet owner for an older girl myself id expect from others if I left her in their care. If the pet requires adequate exercise I have no problem going on a long walk with them and the space is pet friendly as my dog (Anna) is there. In your home, I can assure you that my experience will allow me to provide the best care for your loved ones.

This is not where I wanted to be – having to let a stranger watch my home and dog, handing over the keys and saying prayers. Instead, I said a prayer first, and I landed on the smiling face of Deann. She was an angel! Confident, prepared, kind, experienced, the list of good qualities goes on and on. I immediately felt at ease and our dog took to her as soon as she walked in our door for our introduction. Deann took pictures, communicated, and provided text updates at least once a day and I stopped worrying. That’s maybe the best compliment I can post here – I stopped worrying and had a great time on our trip because Deann had it completely under control.”

About: I’ve had and been around pets my whole life and have experience with animals of all sizes. I have house-sat, dog walked, and done routine checking on pets for multiple years for friends and family. I also volunteer at the animal shelter to help animals in need I’m currently working part time and only work a few days a week so I am available almost all the time to check in and help out with animals. My long shifts also contain breaks so I can interact with animals throughout the day even while working.
