“Amari was so great with our dog! He doesn’t like new people coming in the house but she came and met him before our trip to help ease that, and was so patient with him. Amari sent updates and pictures and we could tell our dog was happy and enjoying his new friend. I’d love to have her back in our home any time!”

About: I am a graduate student located in Blacksburg studying Counselor Education. This past summer I even got to take the Animal Assisted Counseling course and learn all about animal wellbeing in my profession! I have always had dogs and cat in my house growing up, and I have years of informal experience walking, feeding, and taking care of pets overnight. I am always a go to pet sitter for family and friends that are out of town because I always follow their directions as well as treat their home and pet with respect. I also have over a year of hands on volunteer experience at the People For Pets Foundation no kill cat cat shelter in Jeffersonton, VA. I am super flexible all summer! I am a server and work six hours shifts at the maximum. I am happy to serve you and your pets with temporary support or long-term weekly services! I can provide overnight support as well. A pet is like another member of the family, and I have always been taught to treat your family with respect and love them unconditionally. Being with animals is my absolute favorite thing in the world, and you can trust that your pet’s well being will always be my number one priority.
“Madison did great staying with Copper while I was out of town! She sent pictures with updates, responded quickly, and followed our typical schedule to make sure he was well cared for and got plenty of attention. I already booked her again for another overnight stay!”

“Carley was phenomenal! During our meet and greet she took the time to learn what Camden is like and how best to take care of him. In her updates is was obvious Camden was having a good time and she has him out sunning with his favorite toy multiple times. He was very happy when I got back. I could not reccomend Carley more!”

“Denise took fantastic care of Frankie and was great with communications both before and during my trip! She went above and beyond to make sure she left the house in good shape as well. We will absolutely have her back!”

“Yulia did a great job pet sitting for us! She was a very responsive communicator and asked a lot of thoughtful questions up front to make sure we were both well-prepared. She did her best to dodge rainy weather and take Frankie on nice long walks while we were away. Loved getting pictures and updates from her on the first day and appreciated her responsiveness when I reached out on the day we were headed home.”

About: I've recently graduated with a chemistry degree but pets and wildlife make me happy! Animals put a smile on my face so I would love to meet yours! I own 2 cats and took care of our family dog and cats as my weekly "chores" throughout my childhood, so I've been doing this for a long time now. Some other pets that I've owned: rabbits, gerbils, fish, aquatic snails, and a hedgehog. Rest assured that I'm always available to tend to your pet in case of an emergency. I'm available nearly any time because I set my own work schedule, and it is usually flexible for me to show up for something when needed. I can also switch things around when necessary. I'm flexible to work with. I'm more than happy to send picture updates and to take care of any special needs that your pet(s) might have! I will always be there to attend to their needs on schedule and will treat them with the same love and care that my own pets receive.

I will follow the instructions left for me closely and will give them all the love and attention they need to be happy. I will treat your just the same as if they were my own.
About: While most of my experience is with cats, I am also comfortable caring for small to medium dogs and following clear routines and care instructions. I have a flexible schedule and am able to provide morning, midday, and evening care. I prioritize maintaining your pet's established routine and can accommodate overnight stays or drop-in visits throughout the week. I care for pets in their own home to maintain comfort and minimize stress. I follow established routines closely and will keep all spaces clean. About: I’m an experienced cat sitter and foster caregiver with a passion for helping pets feel safe, happy, and loved. I currently foster two cats and have two of my own, and over the years I’ve cared for and socialized more than 40 cats and kittens. I’ve currently work for a non-profit rescue called Forgotten Animal Rescue and work closely with local shelters on TNR programs and adoptions, gaining hands-on experience with shy or nervous cats and helping them become comfortable around humans. Whether it’s daily care, administering medications, or offering extra love and attention, I’m committed to making every pet feel safe and cared for while their owners are away. I have a consistent daily routine that allows me to give pets plenty of attention and care. I’m available to check in, feed, and play with cats multiple times a day, including mornings, afternoons, and evenings during weekends and anytime after before 8 am or after 5pm on weekdays. Because I foster cats and have my own at home, caring for pets is naturally built into my day, and I can adjust my schedule to meet the needs of each pet I sit. I prioritize a safe, calm, and comfortable environment for every pet I care for. In my home or a client’s home, I make sure the space is secure, clean, and free from hazards, with plenty of cozy spots for pets to relax. I handle all pets gently and patiently, especially those who may be nervous or shy, giving them time to adjust and feel comfortable.
About: I’ve owned a black Labrador(Anna) for over 13 years, she has not once had any sort of health issue as I’ve feed her well, and kept her up to date on vet visits. I’m caring, compassionate, and smart and versatile enough to be calm in any situation that may arise. I assure you that I will treat your pet as if it were my own. This allows me the freedom to stay focused on your pet and be there when other folks have to leave. If a situation ever does arrive my strength are communication so you can rest assured I will be in constant contact, which as a pet owner for an older girl myself id expect from others if I left her in their care. If the pet requires adequate exercise I have no problem going on a long walk with them and the space is pet friendly as my dog (Anna) is there. In your home, I can assure you that my experience will allow me to provide the best care for your loved ones.
“We recently went away for a week-long beach trip and had the pleasure of having Deann take care of our pets and I truly couldn't have asked for a better experience. She looked after our extremely shy indoor cat, our outdoor cat, and even our saltwater fish with so much care and attention. I was especially nervous about leaving our indoor cat alone for the first time for such a long stretch, but Deann checked in regularly, which helped ease my mind and let me actually relax on vacation. When we got home, it was clear the animals had been well cared for—our cats were content, the fish tanks looked great, and the house was in perfect shape. It's such a relief to know we have someone so reliable, kind, and attentive to count on. Highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy and compassionate pet sitter!”

It's important to give pets the love and care they need, and I will ensure your animal(s) are properly tended to during your family's absence! I care for pets in between classes, during my free time, and at night for house sitting! I have a lot of evening and morning availability, and I'm free on most weekends. I've had experience caring for small, medium, and big dogs, along with cats, hamsters, guinea pigs, bunnies, and even a bearded dragon. I ensure they are all fed and taken outside (if needed) under a consistent schedule. Also, don't worry about them being alone and bored, as I absolutely LOVE playing and being with any animals!

“I was amazed at how quickly Chauncey (our rescue dachsshnd) warmed up the Nancye. She has this innate ability to know a dog and his needs, placing that as top priority. She texted with pictures often, I left home for a much needed few days away without a worry at all. HIGHLY recommend and feel sure we'll want Nancye to pet/house sit for us again--SOON!”
“Delia did such an amazing job watching our pup while we were away on short notice! She did a great job of sending lots of photos and updates which kept us at ease while we were out of town!
