“Avery responded to my booking request very quickly and we arranged for a meet and greet. She stayed with my four dogs, which included a 7 month old puppy who had surgery and needed to be confined. Since she has worked in a vet’s office, I felt very comfortable with her taking care of him during his recovery. Avery was very flexible, communicated well and the dogs were all happy when I returned. I would not hesitate to book Avery again. I am glad she will be in the area for a few more years.”

About: I’ve had and been around pets my whole life and have experience with animals of all sizes. I have house-sat, dog walked, and done routine checking on pets for multiple years for friends and family. I also volunteer at the animal shelter to help animals in need I’m currently working part time and only work a few days a week so I am available almost all the time to check in and help out with animals. My long shifts also contain breaks so I can interact with animals throughout the day even while working. I don’t typically stay overnight for house sitting because of the larger time commitment, but if that is something you are interested in I am able to add a small overnight fee to give your animals the care they need. I know how to handle all kinds of pets in all kinds of sizes and I care for each animal as if it were my own. The safety and health of your animal is my top priority while they are under my care.

About: I am a lifelong animal lover. I grew up with a household full of animals, and was constantly bringing more home. In high school I spent two years in a veterinary science technical program where I learned husbandry, basic first aid, training, etc. I have experience working with animals of all life stages, and care requirements. I can administer medication, and even have worked with diabetic kitties (my cat Leo is a diabetic himself). I am a full time college student. Currently on break for the summer. My schedule is very flexible, and I can dedicate lots of time and attention to your pets! I treat all client's homes with respect. I am tidy, and am mindful to leave the home exactly as I found it. I am able to water plants as well!

About: My name is Emily and I'd love to help out your furry friends! I am 23, and am a current student at Virginia Tech majoring in Wildlife Conservation. Through working full-time at a dog grooming salon in the past, being trained in handling both dogs and cats through the SPCA, and over a decade of experience with animals, I am very prepared to assist your pets. I can administer medication, assist with grooming needs such as nails and pre-brushing, and am experienced with both puppies and seniors. Besides dogs, I am well versed with other animals. I have a senior cat of my own! I am certified for handling amphibians and reptiles, and have care experience for birds and small mammals. I am accustomed to working with all levels of temperament. I offer overnight stays, drop-bys, and walks. Prices and times are flexible. I look forward to meeting you and your fur babies! I work part-time at a restaurant and am taking classes asynchronously for the summer. I will be available until late August. I can very easily adjust my schedule when given notice, and will happily do so to take care of your pets! About: I take care of pets for family when they need it and have experience caring for older pets, puppies, and those with special care instructions. My schedule is pretty flexible so I can take time to walk dogs during the day. I’m most available during the weekend and after 5 pm for over night boarding, but can potentially accommodate other schedules. I have no pets, so my home is perfect for less friendly pets. Crates will need to provided if they are needed for your pet, but I’m willing to keep up with their routine.

About: I have cared for pets of all ages over the years and adopted a pup of my own about two years ago. He’s up to date on all vaccinations and loves other dogs. I have experience with giving medications to animals, caring for both puppies and older pups, and my apartment is hardwood floors so accidents aren’t a problem! I am a graduate assistant and in grad school. This means that I word pretty weird hours and I do a lot of work remotely. I’m home anywhere between 8 hours to 24 hours a day and can rearrange my schedule depending on the needs of the animal. There is a dog park nearby and it’s a safe area. For my pup, and pups I’ve boarded/cared for before, I traditionally feed them in the AM and give them plenty of water. We go to the dog park to start the day and get the energy out. I make sure to leave dog-safe toys on the floor so they know they have stuff to play with and I dog proof the apartment before I leave each time so they don’t get into things they shouldn’t. We go out later in the day to the dog park again to socialize or get the zoomies going. We go back and have a little more food or a snack and then hang out before going out on a walk to end the day. I'm working full-time in ministry so I have lots of time throughout the day to care for your loved one and will be gone no more than a few hours per evening for bible studies and groups. I take my dog, Tonka, out 5-6 times per day minimum and we love to go on walks and be outdoors. I have a large field directly behind my apartment and live in a very pet-friendly area tucked off the main road so your pup will enjoy lots of safe and supervised outside time! I allow animals on the furniture and keep all choking hazards up high. My dog has a knack for finding even the smallest things to mess with so I have good practice with keeping a safe home.

About: I’m an experienced cat sitter and foster caregiver with a passion for helping pets feel safe, happy, and loved. I currently foster two cats and have two of my own, and over the years I’ve cared for and socialized more than 40 cats and kittens. I’ve currently work for a non-profit rescue called Forgotten Animal Rescue and work closely with local shelters on TNR programs and adoptions, gaining hands-on experience with shy or nervous cats and helping them become comfortable around humans. Whether it’s daily care, administering medications, or offering extra love and attention, I’m committed to making every pet feel safe and cared for while their owners are away. I have a consistent daily routine that allows me to give pets plenty of attention and care. I’m available to check in, feed, and play with cats multiple times a day, including mornings, afternoons, and evenings during weekends and anytime after before 8 am or after 5pm on weekdays. Because I foster cats and have my own at home, caring for pets is naturally built into my day, and I can adjust my schedule to meet the needs of each pet I sit. I prioritize a safe, calm, and comfortable environment for every pet I care for. In my home or a client’s home, I make sure the space is secure, clean, and free from hazards, with plenty of cozy spots for pets to relax. I handle all pets gently and patiently, especially those who may be nervous or shy, giving them time to adjust and feel comfortable.
