During the school year my schedule does vary Monday through Friday as labs are different days/times every week, however, they are only two hours long so I am flexible for the rest of the day! I really enjoy hanging out with animals as a study break! I also keep my schedule up to date on Rover! I'm available most days. Just message me about times and I will get back to you as soon as possible!

I currently live in an apartment. I have one cat, my roommate has a cat and we adopted a dog together. Both of our cats do well with dogs and will mainly keep to themselves and stay in our rooms. We are trying to socialize them more to dogs to get them more comfortable around other animals as it has been a learning curve with being Beamer into our home. Beamer does good with cats! He may think they want to be his friend at first but with a stern no he listens well. He is also very friendly with other dogs and loves to play. In our apartment we have two floors so we can keep the animals together when we are home and then separate them with a baby gate when we go out. There is a large unfenced backyard behind my apartment that is a communal space and lots of walking trails around including the Huckleberry Trail!
Information Caroline H. would like to know about your pet
I always want to provide the best possible care, so please let me know in advance if your pet has any special needs, allergies, or medications. It's also helpful to know about any behavioral triggers or whether your pet is comfortable around other animals. This helps me ensure a smooth and stress free experience for everyone involved! If your pet has a favorite toy, activity, or treat, I’d love to know! The more I can tailor the visit to their routine and preferences, the more relaxed and happy they'll feel while you're away.
A typical day
My favorite new quote recently is “it’s their first time living too”! We have to remember that animals only see the world we show them! This is why wether it’s a walk in the park with your dog, a lick mat with peanut butter, or bird watching with your cat, I’ll make sure they live their best life while you are away!

3rd Year Vet Student!
Pet care experience
I always grew up with my own animals and knew I wanted to to be a veterinarian one day. When I was in high school I started my own dog walking business to make some money and then heard a doggy daycare was opening up in town. I was the first to apply! I worked there for a while until I started at a local veterinarian at 16. Now I am going into my second year of vet school and wanted a way to fill some of my free time. Due to my busy class schedule I only have two cats and one dog right now, but my dream is to have lots of animals when I’m older! Since I can’t make this happen right now I love spending extra time with any animal I can because it warms my heart! Over the past seven years, I’ve had the privilege of working with animals in a variety of settings from general care to specialty medicine to emergency and my passion for them only continues to grow. I'm skilled in administering medications and injections, caring for both puppies and senior pets, assisting with more challenging or nervous animals, and understanding dog behavior and body language.

Reviews

Caroline was great! She took good care of my cat and administered oral meds each day. I will definitely rebook with her in the future.

Thanks, Caroline, for the great pics!
Caroline was amazing! Our schedule was all over the place and she was so flexible and accommodating. Finn had a great time while with her. The next time we are in Blacksburg visiting our son on campus we will be reaching out to Caroline!

Thanks for checking on the cats while I was out of town! I really appreciate the peace of mind knowing that they were well looked after.
