I’m currently pursuing my PhD at VT, so my schedule revolves around research and the occasional class. My hours are very felxible, which means I’m rarely locked into a rigid 9-to-5. During the school year I typically have 1-2 classes, but outside of that my time is largely my own. That flexibility means I can easily work pet care into my daily routine, whether it’s midday walks, regular check-ins, or just making sure your pet has consistent company throughout the day.

Safety is my top priority whether I’m caring for pets in my home or yours! Unless there’s a securely fenced yard, dogs are always on leash, no exceptions. Before leaving any space, I do a thorough safety sweep to make sure nothing is within reach that could be chewed, swallowed, or knocked over. I’m also extremely vigilant about doors and escape routes, my own cats are certified escape artists, so I’ve become a pro at making sure no sneaky paws slip out unnoticed! You can trust that your pet’s environment will be secure, supervised, and set up for their safety.

I am absolutely open to learning whatever is needed to make your pet feel comfortable and well cared for! Every animal is unique and I want to know it all, the routines, the quirks, the little things that make your pet feel at home. The more you share, the better I can care for them! For example, my own cats will only drink water from human drinking glasses, so they each have their very own dedicated ones. Those little quirks are what make our pets so special, and I will always go the extra mile to honor them!

I’m currently getting into running, so active dogs will make the perfect workout buddy! I’d love to hit the pavement together and burn off all that energy! I’m also excited to explore everything the Blacksburg area has to offer, from local trails to scenic hikes, so dogs with a sense of adventure will fit right in. Every pet has their own personality and preferences, and I’ll make sure we find activities that they genuinely enjoy and look forward to!

I am passionate about dogs and have been my whole life! I’ve had the privilege of raising three dogs from puppyhood all the way through their golden years, so I have hands-on experience with every stage of a dog’s life, from the zoomies, the training, and to the senior snuggles. My sweet pup is back home in Colorado, and honestly, I’m hoping to get some dog time in while im in Virginia. Your fur baby will be in caring, experienced hands!

Sophia was great with my four legged 50 pound baby. She stayed with her for a long weekend and stayed in communication with pictures the whole time.
