I am passionate about dogs and have been my whole life! I’ve had the privilege of raising three dogs from puppyhood all the way through their golden years, so I have hands-on experience with every stage of a dog’s life, from the zoomies, the training, and to the senior snuggles. My sweet pup is back home in Colorado, and honestly, I’m hoping to get some dog time in while im in Virginia. Your fur baby will be in caring, experienced hands!

Safety, trust & environment
Safety is my top priority whether I’m caring for pets in my home or yours! Unless there’s a securely fenced yard, dogs are always on leash, no exceptions. Before leaving any space, I do a thorough safety sweep to make sure nothing is within reach that could be chewed, swallowed, or knocked over. I’m also extremely vigilant about doors and escape routes, my own cats are certified escape artists, so I’ve become a pro at making sure no sneaky paws slip out unnoticed! You can trust that your pet’s environment will be secure, supervised, and set up for their safety.

Sophia is fantastic! She did dog walks and check-ins for me several times. My dog absolutely loves her, and my cat does, too! She is responsible, great at communicating, and always sent me pictures. I would absolutely have her care for my pets again!
Sophia went above and beyond while providing care to our three pups! We have two miniature dachshunds and a large mutt, she cared for them in our home for six nights and seven days. She visited them multiple times a day, fed them, walked them, and treated them like her own. She made us feel at ease while being away, she sent us multiple photos daily of our pups having so much fun! When we came home to a tidy house and the pups were well taken care of. 10/10 we will absolutely be booking her again and recommend her to others as well!
Sophia was great with my four legged 50 pound baby. She stayed with her for a long weekend and stayed in communication with pictures the whole time.

Sophia checked on my cats while I was traveling. She made sure they had food and water, kept the litter box clean, and provided them with company while I was away. Sophia was very conscientious and caring with my cats, and I recommend booking her!

Schedule
I’m currently pursuing my PhD at VT, so my schedule revolves around research and the occasional class. My hours are very felxible, which means I’m rarely locked into a rigid 9-to-5. During the school year I typically have 1-2 classes, but outside of that my time is largely my own. That flexibility means I can easily work pet care into my daily routine, whether it’s midday walks, regular check-ins, or just making sure your pet has consistent company throughout the day.

- I am absolutely open to learning whatever is needed to make your pet feel comfortable and well cared for! Every animal is unique and I want to know it all, the routines, the quirks, the little things that make your pet feel at home. The more you share, the better I can care for them! For example, my own cats will only drink water from human drinking glasses, so they each have their very own dedicated ones. Those little quirks are what make our pets so special, and I will always go the extra mile to honor them!
