I come from an agriculture background, which has allowed me to care for all kinds of pets. Most importantly, I’ve cared for cats & dogs during all their life stages. From puppies and kittens to senior dogs and cats — I know what it takes to administer love and care during all developmental stages of life! My heart is full when I get to see either a happy dog tail-wag or a purrfectly content cat make biscuits. I’ll work with your dog to improve their commands and get their daily zoomies out; your cat will enjoy company and stimulating feline friendly games. I’ll also have their bathroom and medical needs taken care of. I make sure to provide a safe environment for everyone. I will care for your pet according to your instructions. If I am at your home, I will abide by your house rules and care for your pet accordingly. I have a flexible schedule, so I can work with your schedule to best serve your family! At this time I am not hosting animals in my home. I will do house visits and walks. I prefer to take your pet on routes they are familiar with to start. After getting to know your pet, I can take them on walks in new environments to encourage new training opportunities. I want to provide a safe environment for your fur baby and myself by being aware of any sensitivities or triggers. Your pet will receive top care while being set-up for success when spending time with me! Book with me & I’ll help make your life a little less stressful — your pet has a friend in me! I have a very flexible schedule and can take care of your pets in the afternoon or evenings during Monday-Friday. With ample notice, I can even take care of your pet in the mornings Monday-Friday. On weekends, I can take care of your pet at any time! I’ll make sure to provide a safe environment for everyone. I will care for your pet according to your instructions. About: Hi! Like most of us here i’ve been looking after dogs and cats for most of my life. From my own, to family, to friends and roommates pets. Recently i had the experience of looking after an elderly dog for a friend, he was 12 and had a failing hing leg, cataracts and arthritis. His eyes required drops, and pain meds with his food. Walking him was hard, but only to see him struggle, it gave me great joy to be able to give him all of my patience and attention in love in such a difficult time. I recently moved to Anchorage and haven’t been working here yet, taking time to enjoy being able to explore and have fun with winter sports. My schedule is completely open, i have no other obligations at this time, other than taking care of my own pets We have a large backyard here that our dog can run around and play in during the potty breaks, which is great for her as she loves to run. I take Chuli with me for most all of my hikes and drives around the area.

About: I don’t remember life without dogs. I truly enjoy meeting new dogs. I currently have a mini Maltese that has traveled the world with me. I once spent a few days in quarantine with him prior to entering a foreign island. I’m currently working from home and have all the time in the world to love your pet. I prefer to pull up to the pets home to keep them comfortable in their own environment. I have a fenced back yard. I also live one block from the coastal trail and love to take walks enjoying the fresh air and safe trails.

About: I have lived with cats my entire life, and own two currently. I regularly check on friends cats and dogs when they are out of town (for the past 10 years), so I am confident in my abilities to give your pets the attention they need while you're away. I understand that pets are family, and I treat every animal in my care with patience, attention, and respect. Whether your pet needs a walk, playtime, medication reminders, enrichment, or just some extra companionship while you're away, I’ll make sure they feel safe and cared for. I work remotely as a postdoc for UAF and my schedule can be flexible to work with yours/your pets needs! About: I’ve worked at 1 different doggy daycares/1 rescue group for over 8 years. I’m always around dogs, of different sizes, temperaments, I’m great with all dogs, even dogs that don’t like other animals. etc..I will still walk them or dog sit them at their houses (I can’t board them at my house if they can be aggressive because I have other dogs). I love dogs so spending time with them is amazing. Im free all weekend to do anything for or with your pets. On the weekdays I get off work at 2pm so anytime after that I’d love to work! I have a fully fenced yard, 2 dog friends for your pet to play and cuddle with. I also have crates if needed for your dog.

About: Our dog passed away and I miss her very much. Recently relocated to Alaska and loving it! Have extra time on my hands to care for your furry bundle. I’ll take care of her/him/them like my own. Sorry I can’t commit to a reoccurring schedule at this time. Currently between jobs (indefinitely!) so I have plenty of time until then to give your loved ones attention. I love being outdoors so plenty of fresh air is not an issue or playing inside and curling up on sofa with your fluff ball is cool too. No problem if your pet prefers their own space, I am open to all types of personalities. Happy to care for pets in your home according to your normal routine. About: Hello! My name is Elise! I’m from Alaska, I moved here in October. I grew up with many different animals. I’ve had many dogs, cats, as well as bunnies, horses and I’ve cared for birds. I love animals very much and I am very good at taking care of them. I’ve been pet sitting since I was about 14 but not really officially since I was 16. I’ve trained quite a few puppies and I’ve helped birth a lot of cats and dogs. About: What sets me apart from other sitters is my experience caring for dogs who may be reactive or selective around other animals. I understand how important it is to find someone you can truly trust when your dog requires extra awareness and responsibility. I’m attentive, proactive, and committed to keeping every dog in my care safe by avoiding risky situations and managing walks and interactions thoughtfully. I also grew up in a dog-loving household with four or more dogs at any given time. Our home was the go-to place for family and friends to leave their dogs while traveling or working, and at times we even cared for entire litters of puppies. Regarding situations where dogs stay at my house, I currently have two young cats which any visiting dogs will have to be okay with. Because my house has two levels, I do have the ability to block the stairway and provide my cats with a sanctuary if the cats get tired of dog games.

About: Ive had dogs in my life for just about all of it. I figured why not walk dogs and make some side cash while I walk around. Taking care of pets and walking dogs is more of just a part time thing I'm doing to pass the time and get to hang out with animals. Before I moved to Anchorage my family had 4 dogs that I took care of on a daily basis. I always make sure the dog is secured to a lease before I bring them out. Currently on a part time seasonal schedule with more time going to be available in the winter. Figured this would be a great way to stay active and outside while going into the winter months I've have plenty of experience with dogs and their care growing up in northwest Alaska. My siblings and I all had dogs growing up from newborn pups to our fathers dog that lived until he was 21.

About: I have been cat sitting and dog walking for the past two years for coworkers and family friends- and now I’m on Rover too! I’ve got two golden retrievers of my own who I love dearly as well! I am a student at the University of Vermont studying political science and english! During the summers I come home to Anchorage, Alaska. I love all things outdoors- hiking, running, you name it. About: Animals have always been a big part of my life, and I’ve spent years caring for pets for friends and family. I have experience caring for dogs of all ages, sizes, and energy levels. I am great with any communication requests/requirements and I hope to help make this process easy and smooth :) As a General Manager in retail, I have a very flexible schedule and am able to create my own work hours. I can adjust my day as needed and take breaks when necessary, making it easy for me to return home for feeding times, potty breaks, exercise, and general care. My schedule typically ranges between the hours of 9am to 9:30pm, but I have the flexibility to structure those hours around the needs of my pet. About: Hello Rover! I have spent my entire life around dogs of all breeds and have experience taking care of a wide variety of personality types! I have a 10 year old Australian Shepherd named Oliver so I am very familiar with high maintenance/active dog breeds. I'm currently taking a month long break from work before starting a new job. What better way to make some extra money in the down time than taking care of dogs? I am located close to several wooded trails as well as Kincaid park, where I frequent with my own Australian Shepherd Oliver. With such an active breed, we are out and about multiple times each day.

About: Roughly two years ago, I received a call from a colleague asking to house sit for a weekend after a previous bad experience with boarding two dogs. Both with health issues and one of them not sociable with other dogs. My colleague came back to a clean home, garden watered, mail organized and the dogs very well loved and walked everyday. Ever since, I have housesat for anywhere from 48hrs to nearly 30 days at a time with zero issues. Bed time rituals, feeding songs, walking a slightly reactive dog, cuddling very closely at night were the priorities at the top of the to-do list. Now that two years have passed since that first call I have decided to try my hand at truly making dog walking/house sitting/drop-in playdates a side gig! I work 12hrs a day, rotating weeks 3 days or 4 days a week. Typically Wednesday/Thursday-Saturday off every week. I am up early most mornings in my time off, can make myself available for late nights Wednesday-Friday as well. In your home, I will follow all requests diligently, check all doors and windows before leaving or before bed. I am MANDT de-escalation trained, CPR/BLS certified and will soon be training to further my EMS-adjacent skillsets. In emergencies, I understand the importance of prioritizing the fur babies and keeping them out of harm’s way.

I have 7 years of animal hospital experience in Alaska and am confident in my skills to provide care and love to all of your pets. My new role is fully remote, allowing plenty of time to be home with your pets! My parents owned a vet clinic for 15 years and I grew up in the trade. Starting at 15, I began pet sitting and dog walking and eventually moved on to being a kennel technician. I have also worked at dog boarding facilities and frequently volunteer at various rescues. I can confidently handle any size, age and breed. Caring for animals is something I am passionate about. I am flexible with your requests. I am able to administer medications should your pet need them. My biggest goal is to make your pets happy and your mind at ease.
