About: I have had dogs my entire life. They have had all types of personalities which has helped me learn what is best for each dog. I currently have a dog with super high anxiety, so I am willing to work with similar dogs as I understand patience is necessary. I have also wanted my aunts 3 large dogs on several occasions! I love every type of dog and cannot wait to work with them! I am currently taking an online course from home, so my schedule is very flexible. I am available 7 days a week and can usually work around different times for walks, drop-ins, house sitting, or pet care needs. Since my coursework is online, I’m able to plan my day around the pets I’m caring for and give them plenty of attention. I’m happy to help with morning, afternoon, evening, or weekend care, and I can be flexible with last-minute needs when possible. My open schedule allows me to keep pets on their normal routine and make sure they get the care, exercise, and attention they’re used to. I care for pets like they’re my own by giving them attention, patience, and a routine they’re comfortable with. I follow the owner’s instructions closely for feeding, walks, potty breaks, medication, and anything else their pet needs. I make sure pets always have fresh water, a safe environment, and plenty of love and playtime. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I’m respectful of their space and make sure the home is clean and secure before I leave. I’m also happy to send photo updates so owners can feel confident their pets are doing well.
About: I’ve grown up around both dogs and cats and have experience caring for pets for friends, family, and neighbors. I’m patient, responsible, and attentive to each pet’s individual needs, whether that’s walks, feeding, playtime, litter box cleaning, or simply keeping them company. I’m comfortable with different sizes, personalities, and energy levels, and I always make sure pets feel safe, loved, and cared for while their owners are away. I work a hybrid job Monday through Friday from 9–5, so some days I’m remote and some days I’m in the office. I still have flexibility before and after work and on weekends for pet care, walks, check ins, and spending time with pets. I always try to make pets feel comfortable and cared for in their own environment. I pay close attention to routines, feeding instructions, walks, litter boxes, medications if needed, and making sure pets are safe and relaxed while their owners are away.

“Izabelle took great care of my cats, and also did a couple of things around the house that made coming home more pleasant. She let the cats, who can be a bit nervous around new people, take their time getting to know her and made clear progress with them every day. By all measures, they seemed to have a great week!”

About: I have been cat sitting and dog walking for the past two years for coworkers and family friends- and now I’m on Rover too! I’ve got two golden retrievers of my own who I love dearly as well! I am a student at the University of Vermont studying political science and english! During the summers I come home to Anchorage, Alaska. I love all things outdoors- hiking, running, you name it. I have also been working part time at Middle Way Cafe (in Anchorage) for almost 3 years. Because I have grown up with animals, I feel confident in my ability to care for them. I also volunteer at our local animal shelters and am passionate about finding animals good homes! I value communication and will update you on your pets mood, send pictures, etc. I have a lot of experience with anxious dogs, so rest assured your pets are in good hands even if they tend to be nervous when you leave.

About: I’ve been caring for animals for over 5 years and have had both cats and dogs my entire life. Growing up around pets gave me experience with animals of all ages and personalities. I’ll make sure your pet feels safe, loved, and well cared for every time we’re together. I’m a full-time college student with a flexible schedule outside of my classes. I plan my schedule carefully and will always communicate clearly to ensure your pet receives dependable, loving care. I’ll care for your pet in the comfort of their own home by following their normal routine and giving them the love and attention they deserve. I’ll treat your home with respect and keep you updated throughout each visit.
About: Ive had dogs in my life for just about all of it. I figured why not walk dogs and make some side cash while I walk around. Taking care of pets and walking dogs is more of just a part time thing I'm doing to pass the time and get to hang out with animals. Before I moved to Anchorage my family had 4 dogs that I took care of on a daily basis. I always make sure the dog is secured to a lease before I bring them out. Currently on a part time seasonal schedule with more time going to be available in the winter. Figured this would be a great way to stay active and outside while going into the winter months I've have plenty of experience with dogs and their care growing up in northwest Alaska. My siblings and I all had dogs growing up from newborn pups to our fathers dog that lived until he was 21.
“Alejandra was amazing with our cats and was also kind enough to bring in packages from outside and help us with another favor! She also always sent great pictures of our cats! Highly recommended to anyone looking for someone to look after their pets.”

About: Hello! My name is Aidan Brion and I’m 22 years old. I am a gig worker who is just getting started on Rover. I have grown up with pets my entire life and have a lot of experience caring for them. If you need a helping hand to get your energetic puppy out of the house and go for a walk. Then I hope I can be the one you choose! I understand having a pet can be a very demanding responsibility. They say it takes a village to raise a child and I would say the same goes for your pet. Thanks so much for your time and consideration. Please message me at any point if you’re interested in my services. Have a great day!
About: I’ve had dogs for as long as I can remember, and have a lot of experience handling both big and small dogs. I also have experience giving dogs medicine and taking care of dogs with special needs as one of my dogs has to wear diapers. In addition I have expected taking care of both senior and young dogs. I don’t have a cat, but I’ve taken care of cats for a couple years by helping out my friends, family, and neighbors. I am able to work with senior cats or kittens and don’t mind if they are not too social as well. I’m currently on summer break and about to leave for college in the fall, so I am wanting a job that is easy to break away from. Due to this I am fairly open and have plenty of time to help people with pet care. I am completely willing to stop by and help take care of your pets needs whether that’s feeding them, taking them for a walk, giving medicine, or just spending time with them.
“This was our first time using Rover, and Lauren made it a great experience! She was fantastic with our three kitties — she sent photos every day so we always knew they were happy and well cared for, and she kept up with feeding and litter box duties without a single hiccup. It was such a relief to travel knowing our cats were in good hands with her. We'll definitely be repeat Rover users, and we'd book Lauren again in a heartbeat. Highly recommend her to any cat parent!”

“Raechel is a very caring sitter and went out of her way to understand what my cat Huckleberry would enjoy and tailored her visits to his needs. She is very passionate about her work and highly recommended!”

“This was my first experience with Rover and I worry Alex has spoiled me. She was so responsive and kind from the first messages. She scheduled a meet and greet with the cats and it was great to meet her before handing over the house keys. Our finicky cats warmed up quickly to her which put my mind at ease while I was away. She gave us in depth Rover report cards with lots of pictures and info. I will definitely book Alex again in the future for cat sitting needs. I only hope she’ll have availability in her schedule since she’s so booked and busy!”

“Thank you Katy. I love how you got to know my animals. I would trust you to take care of my animals anytime. I did not worry because I knew my cats were well taken care of.”

About: I absolutely love pets, and I'm willing to bend over backwards to please your pet! I've only ever owned two dogs of my own, but I've cared for and dog-sat for many a friend over the years. I have experience with taking care of senior dogs, my own included, who often require special physical therapy for recovery or medications. I'm a teacher for the Anchorage School District, so pet care will be outside of my working hours. If your pet can remain happy at my home while I'm at work and they're okay with being alone for about 8 hours during the work day, they're welcome to stay with me. I'm available weekdays after 4 and weekends all day for at-home visits, dog walks, or other pet care. :) I have a fenced in yard and one friendly, older doggo of my own part time. (Her fur-daddy and I have shared custody, two weeks on, two weeks off). I'm familiar with giving prescriptions and care to sick doggos, as mine has been on medication for years for her heart condition, and has needed physical therapy treatments after various surgeries. I'll gladly visit your home if your pet prefers to remain in her/her environment.
“Eric did an exceptional job! It was clear that he went above and beyond giving our cat some quality love and playtime, was communicative, and was generous with cute photos. During our meet and greet, he was punctual, knowledgeable, friendly, and curious about our cat's habits. We would highly recommend him.”

About: I’ve been an animal lover since I can remember. I’ve owned a golden retriever and Shih Tzu poodles. I will care for your pet like it’s my own. I’m a stay at home mom to two kiddos, a 4 and 7 year old. I’m also a mama to an 8 year old shitzu poodle. I have lots of time in my day to be flexible and walk your pup or check on your loved one! I have a fenced in yard. I’m also able to easily walk, bike or drive over to your loved ones home. My day is very flexible.
About: When I was around 12, I started taking care of my neighbor’s chocolate lab whenever they went camping. Ever since, I’ve known that caring for animals was a passion of mine. When I was old enough, I worked at an animal daycare for a year. Right now, I work 8:30–5:00 for a travel design company, though twice a week i work from home. But I can do walks during my lunch break, as well as check-ins, boarding requests, and feeding appointments. These days, I mostly help take care of my family and friends’ pets, and I’d be so happy to help care for yours too! As a travel designer, a portion of my work is remote, which gives me a flexible and predictable schedule. Most of my planning, emails, and itinerary work can be done from my laptop, so I’m able to be present with pets throughout the day while still meeting my work responsibilities. I believe the most crucial aspect is the communication between the pet owner and the sitter. I am committed to meeting all expectations and going above and beyond to ensure the well-being of the pet.

We had a wonderful experience with Maleah! She truly went above and beyond to keep our dogs comfortable and happy while we were away. She took them on walks, made sure they were well cared for, and even vacuumed, which we really appreciated. She was incredibly sweet, reliable, and clearly cares a lot about animals. We would absolutely book her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy pet sitter!

Katy is fantastic! She stopped by midday to let our dog out for a potty break and even brought in our packages, which we really appreciated. Communication was excellent the entire time; she kept us updated and made everything feel easy and stress-free. We’ll definitely be using her again!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.
