“Sarah was super communicative and friendly. I wished we found her earlier and skipped trying out other sitters. She sent updates with pictures and was very responsive. She even let our Albus sleep in her bed!”

“Jessica sent pictures of maple often and told me he was doing just fine over there. Was flexible with picking up time changed and plan on using her again for next time.”

“Lisa and Jay took awesome care of my girl. Looks like the first day or two was a bit rough, but she quickly realized life was continuing as it always had. I really appreciated all the fun pictures during my travels and I was so relieved not having to worry about her. I’m sorry orca ate all of Lily’s food, she may have gained a pound or two as you said?😉 thank you again for taking such amazing care of my little Sheba.”

“Julie was a fantastic communicator and sent lots of great photos and messages everyday. Sunny really seemed to enjoy his time at Julie and Cameron’s house.”

“Bella was a happy pup when we picked her pup. Huy and Jolene were awesome. They were very accommodating to our last minute request. I truly appreciate them.”

“Our dog seemed to enjoy her stay. Great yard for play, and neighborhood for walks. Kaitlin gave great updates during the stay and was flexible with us for drop off and pick up.”

“Kaitlin and her family took such good care of my girl! I couldn’t have asked for a better family to watch her for a week. Communication was excellent and I know she was well taken care of!”

“Jadae was absolutely amazing with my baby Dozr! She watched him for a day and a half and treated him like part of her family. Her two little girls were so sweet with him, and it was clear he felt comfortable, loved, and well cared for the entire time. Jadae kept me updated, made sure all of his needs were met, and gave me complete peace of mind while I was away. I could tell Dozr was happy, safe, and getting plenty of attention and affection. I highly recommend Jadae to anyone looking for a caring, trustworthy, and loving dog sitter. We will definitely be booking with her again!”

“Ralph accommodated my crazy work travel schedule, sent lots of updates, and most importantly took excellent care of my pup Rocky. I so appreciate his attention and care of my dog. Thank you Ralph!”
“Lindsey was amazing. Made me feel great about leaving my senior baby in her care. Very attentive, caring and helpful. She lived my little guy like he was her own. First time ever left my boy with her and so happy I found her. Totally appreciate her and will definitely barrow her services again.. Mister Billy will miss her. Thanks Lindsey from the bottom of our hearts♥️”

“Zec took great care of our two dogs! He’s very communicative, initiated a meet and greet before the stay to make sure our dogs got along, and sent consistent updates. His dog is a gentle giant and was so patient with our one dog (who has crazy cattle dog energy and doesn’t get along with every dog). They came home tired, happy, and healthy. He even shared some of his homemade salmon dog treats with my pups. Would recommend if you need a reliable sitter.”

“Prospect was in great company and thoroughly enjoyed his time with Aiko and her family :) Great communicators, flexible with my changing pickup & dropoff times, and my boy was returned to me safe & happy. Would recommend to anyone!”

“Nev had great communication and took great care of our sweet Willow! She was very flexible with our delayed flights & always reached out if she had any questions. We really appreciated her! :)”

“Amanda has been wonderful with Hatcher! He’s stayed several times now and he comes home tuckered out. We love her open communication and frequent photo & video updates while he’s with her. She takes great care of our boy and we appreciate all she does so we can enjoy our time away from him without having to worry if he’s ok. Thank you so much Amanda!”

About: Hi! I’m Susie. I’ve always been an animal lover and know how much our pets mean to us. For years I’ve cared for my friends’ dogs whenever they traveled, and after realizing how much I enjoy it, I decided to join Rover. At home, I have a dachshund named Nugget and a cat named Cosmo, so caring for animals is already a big part of my everyday life. I live in a single-family home with my son, and we have a fully fenced backyard with a medium-sized doggy door, giving dogs plenty of room to safely play and explore. My goal is to make every pet feel comfortable, relaxed, and at home while they’re with us. I’ll follow your pet’s routine as closely as possible and send regular photo updates so you can see how they’re doing while you’re away. I look forward to meeting you and your furry family member! I work from home 4 days a week so I am available often. Thursday I go into the office 9-5, so animal would need to handle some alone time (crated/house trained) I follow instructions left by owner and if I need any further instructions I would contact owner. I am pretty laid back and animal would have full access to home and backyard.

“Sharon and family opened their home to my Pit bull Mastiff Bruce. Sharon made the process very easy for me by having a meet and greet 1st to let him get familiar to the space. We received updates and pics during his stay. Bruce was definitely well cared for. If needed we most definitely will be booking again.”
“Sely is an amazing dog sitter, she is very communicative, and sends lots of pictures and videos! Kane had so much fun at her house, he came home very happy and very much tired from lots of playing!”

“Ashley too exceptional care of my 2 pups during a 2 night boarding stay. From the moment I dropped them off, I knew they were in great hands. Ashley provided regular updates and pictures, which eased my mind and allowed me to enjoy my time away knowing that both my pups were happy and well-cared for. I would definitely trust Ashely to watch my pups again!!”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Anchorage
Sarah was extremely accommodating for watching my newly rescued dog. She agreed to watch him while we are away for a week & half, but also agreed to take him for a couple nights to get him use to her home before the big trip. He had a great time on his trial night so I am confident that he will be fine for the time we do the long trip. He was so happy when we picked him. The house has a well fenced in yard in the front & back. He was in very good hands.

I was nervous to use Rover again after a bad first experience with a different sitter - one of my dogs got out and was missing overnight. So booking with Ralph took some courage. I’m so glad I did! Ralph is kind, thoughtful, and clearly has a safe, secure space set up for dogs both inside and out. He was great about communication, and everything about the experience gave me confidence that my dogs were safe and well cared for. It went so well that we’re already booked with Ralph again for a longer stay, which says it all! Highly recommend.

Aubrey was great to work with from reservation through pick up. I even had to pick up the dogs mid reservation to get our health certificate to fly out with the week. She made everything seamless. I loved that she sent daily photos, this is a huge gift and very much appreciated. When I picked them up they were happy and healthy I couldn’t have been more pleased! Thanks Aubrey! *****

Alice was great with our needy pup. He’s got separation anxiety, but that wasn’t an issue because someone was always with him during his stay. There were plenty of humans and dogs to help put him at ease. Looking forward to more trips away now that we’ve got a great sitter!

Sondrea and Josh were absolutely the best sitters I have had! My golden puppy is a handful and they took such good care of him. I got so many pictures and videos. Sondrea met with me before my booking to make sure that everything would go smoothly. Excellent communication. My dog returned a very happy and tired boy. Thank you so much. 10/10 would rebook!

Cole was fantastic with Velvet, my 2-year-old rambunctious Norwegian Elkhound (who had truthfully run a few of my friends out of town). Cole sent me photos every day of a two week long vacation, obviously extending a lot of care to make sure Velvet was exercised in the middle of an early March cold snap. And that was after watching Velvet for the prior weekend, so I'm surprised Cole wasn't over my energetic doof of a dog! Cole was also extremely accommodating when travel plans threw curves our way, and we picked Velvet up a couple hours later than anticipated. I really appreciated his grace and kindness and would recommend him a thousand percent.

Kerry was amazing! She kept us updated throughout our whole boarding time. She was very accommodating to our dog who has severe anxiety, and even went out of her way to get our dog a new tag after the old one broke. Would definitely want to board our dog again with her! :)

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
