“Kaitlin and her family took such good care of my girl! I couldn’t have asked for a better family to watch her for a week. Communication was excellent and I know she was well taken care of!”

“Amanda is awesome! She sent us daily pics of our furry babies just to show us that they were fine and having fun which gave us a sense of security. Amanda has the perfect setup in her home to allow the pups to have their own space and keep them safe. This is our second time leaving our pups with Amanda and we are so happy to have found her!”

About: In our home we have three trained hunting dogs, two Labradors and an English Cocker Spaniel. I have trained my own dogs for AKC hunt tests, my eldest dog has a Senior Hunter title and my middle boy has his Junior hunter title. I have spent years around boarding kennels and have experience caring for dogs other than my own. I work from home and your dogs will get to hang out with my own during the day. Your doggo can expect to walk and hang out on the back deck with us in the evenings. I work from home and have a flexible routine with my dogs. A typical day includes morning potty, then they hang out with me while I work with potty time during the day as the dogs need it. My dogs typically eat dinner around 6:00 PM, but alternative feeding schedules can be accommodated. After dinner the dogs have two additional potty times before lights out. I walk the dogs at least once per day, although the time varies from day to day. I have a fenced side yard and dogs will be walked to the side yard on a leash. Walks will also occur on leashes. Dogs are crated if I am out of the home. Unless there is a medical or training reason not to, fresh water is provided in their kennels at all time. My dogs may be out on a Halo GPS collar rather than a leash. Boarded dogs must be free of external parasites and communicable disease. I reserve the right to refuse dogs who arrive with flea, lice, or obvious communicable illnesses.
“Kiara and Alejandro took amazing care of Canelo while I was away. Canelo has a blast running around their yard with their dogs all day long, got plenty of pets and cuddles from their family. They provided me updates to let me know Canelo was getting along well and getting plenty of activity. I would absolutely love to have them take care of Canelo for any futures trips. Can’t thank them enough.”

“Jessica was kind and welcoming for my nervous doggo! She took great care of him and helped him settle in quickly. She also sent me sweet pics of him every day. Will definitely be returning to Jessica for future pet sitting needs.”

“Our dog seemed to enjoy her stay. Great yard for play, and neighborhood for walks. Kaitlin gave great updates during the stay and was flexible with us for drop off and pick up.”

“Lisa and Jay took awesome care of my girl. Looks like the first day or two was a bit rough, but she quickly realized life was continuing as it always had. I really appreciated all the fun pictures during my travels and I was so relieved not having to worry about her. I’m sorry orca ate all of Lily’s food, she may have gained a pound or two as you said?😉 thank you again for taking such amazing care of my little Sheba.”

“Huw & Jolynne made our yorkie feel safe and loved! Very friendly folks who we will request again! PS I’d like to tip but don’t see how, where… new to this app”

“Absolutely fantastic... constant communication... Bailey was obviously happy and completely comfortable... and sadly... probably didn't miss us because of how wonderful Jaymie was... HIGHLY RECOMMEND HER”

“Mia did a great job taking care of my dogs! She made sure my active pitbull got plenty of time outside to play and kept me updated while I was away, which I really appreciated. My senior dog had a few accidents in her house, and Mia handled it with so much patience and understanding. It gave me a lot of peace of mind knowing my dogs were in such caring hands. I would absolutely book with her again and highly recommend her to anyone.”

Our pup Greta can be a bit shy, but Ramona kept me updated on her frequently and Greta quickly became comfortable and happy with Ramona’s family! I loved all of the photo and video updates; it gave me such peace of mind while away and our son loved seeing our pup having an adventure of her own! I’d be so happy to have Ramona and her family watch Greta for us again!

Faelyn was awesome! She responded immediately to my short notice request and was available the following day for a meet and greet since we ha had not met at the time and are very particular with anyone we leave our two senior dachshunds with. She took great care of our babies and even sent fun pictures to show how they were doing while we were gone. Would highly recommend her and will definitely take advantage of her services again when and if we go out of town and aren't able to take them with us.

This is our first time on Rover.com, and we were very fortunate to find Chelsea, who was willing to care for Nirobi while we were out of town for a week. We had never left our dog with anyone before, so we were very nervous and reluctant. However, Chelsea communicated with us via text, photos, and videos daily. If there were any concerns, Chelsea did not hesitate to ask to ensure Nirobi was properly cared for. We are so thankful for Chelsea, whom we never met before, and she made us feel so comfortable and at ease knowing that Nirobi was well taken care of. Nirobi was cared for in a very nice, warm, homely environment, not locked up in a cage at a facility with other barking dogs. My family and I highly recommend Chelsea for any pet parents, and we would not hesitate to ask Chelsea for help in the near future. Chelsea, my family, and I thank you for taking such great care of Nirobi.

Adrienne is a perfect match for Eppie since they both like to play in the mountains. Also, her new home in Anchorage is convenient for walks, runs, and swims at local parks. Last but not least, she responds quickly to questions and requests and sends much appreciated photos and videos of her adventures with Eppie.

Many sitters in AK ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
