“Justin was wonderful at dealing with our very needy Old English Bulldog. He sent pictures and updates over the 2 weeks he had Freya, putting our minds at ease. Our dog enjoyed her stay with Justin so much she didn't want to leave when I went to pick her up! We will definitely use Justin again in the future.”

“Denice is clearly an animal lover and my dogs clearly knew they were among friends. Introduced them to other animals appropriately and my pups seemed happy and healthy at pickup. I was worried they'd be sad because they are used to sleeping in bed with me and would be in kennels but they did really well and she worked to figure out what they specifically needed as she got to know them.”

“Kassandra was amazing. After our meet and greet I felt 100% comfortable leaving my dog with her and knew he would be in good hands. She was very flexible with our schedule and quickly responded to correspondence. I highly recommended.”

“Madelyn was very flexible for our last minute needs! She seemed very comfortable with different dog personalities and having a wide age range together. Hazel seemed to have a great time and I would definitely use Madelyn again!”

“My two huskies were very happy spending a week with Kiara and her family. They were spoiled with tons of attention and all the couch cuddles they could hope for. Kiara was very communicative, understanding of each dog's preferences, and willing to accommodate needs for my senior dog as well. I would be happy to leave my dogs there again!”

“We are so happy to have found this family to take care of our fur babies! We received updates while we were gone and knew our boys were in good hands. I’m sure they really loved being around the 4 kids and in a home versus being in a kennel somewhere. Thank you!”

“Cameron did a great job with Yogi! He communicated well and sent pictures with updates. He asked questions about Yogi's needs and what to expect as far as his behaviour. He gave Yogi a few hours to decompress before being introduced to the other dogs in the home. Very professional and mindful...would definitely bring Yogi back and highly recommend Cameron!”

“My dog was very happy. When a minor mishap did occur, Paula let me know and remedied it smoothly, while being attentive to my dog. If she’ll have her, I will happily trust my dog here again.”

“Tanner was fantastic with our dog, Kubo. We were gone for almost two weeks, and Tanner sent regular updates and photos. He has a very large yard for dogs to play in, and he took Kubo on a fun hike. I definitely would have Tanner watch our Kubo again.”

“Amanda is amazing. Lola loves the whole family. Happy dogs at Amanda’s. Regular updates and feedback. Very responsible care. Thank you Amanda for taking the fear and anxiety out of the equation.”

“Jennifer is super attentive and kind. She paid great attention with my dog and has kept me updated with lots of photos. I highly suggest her to anyone and has my greatest regards.”

“Kimberly took amazing care of my 6 month old German Shepherd, Nova, during her 11-day stay. She kept me updated throughout the entire stay with frequent photos and videos, which gave me a lot of peace of mind while I was away. It was clear that Nova received plenty of attention, exercise, and mental stimulation. As anyone with a young German Shepherd knows, keeping them active is important, and I could tell Nova was happy, well cared for, and had all the stimulation she needed. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience and will definitely be booking with Kimberly again in the future. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable, experienced, caring, and communicative dog sitter.”

“Huckleberry seemed to do great. Ashley got back to me quickly and took care of us on short notice for an emergency trip. Very easy to work with and very nice.”

About: I’ve spent my life around dogs of all shapes and sizes, and caring for them has always been an important part of my life. With 3 years experience working in a dog boarding facility and 3 dogs of my own, I understand the importance of attentive care, structure and consistent routines! I provide structured walks, mental stimulation, and exercise to help keep your dog happy, healthy, and fulfilled, while reinforcing good manners and maintaining the training and routines you’ve established at home. For in-home boarding, your dog will stay in a comfortable home environment with a fenced in yard, heated garage for chilly days and a large, open living area for indoor activities and relaxing. All pets in my care sleep in kennels at night to ensure a safe, cozy place to rest. I currently have a flexible schedule and completely open availability, I have 3 dogs of my own and your pet will be treated as part of the family! I have a fenced in yard, and three friendly dogs who would love to welcome your pups into our daily schedule of play, walks and activities! Your dog will always be attended to, and have a safe kenneled space to rest in if ever unsupervised.
“Tina is awesome! She treated my 2 standard poodles as if they were her own. Although we both have hunting breeds, large poodles are agile athletic clowns that are part human. There was no problem with the 4 dogs together and Max and Isabeau enjoyed their week at Tina's while I was gone and I loved her updates she sent every day.”

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in AK ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
