About: What sets me apart from other sitters is my experience caring for dogs who may be reactive or selective around other animals. I understand how important it is to find someone you can truly trust when your dog requires extra awareness and responsibility. I’m attentive, proactive, and committed to keeping every dog in my care safe by avoiding risky situations and managing walks and interactions thoughtfully. I also grew up in a dog-loving household with four or more dogs at any given time. Our home was the go-to place for family and friends to leave their dogs while traveling or working, and at times we even cared for entire litters of puppies. Because of this, I have hands-on experience with dogs of all sizes, breeds, ages, and temperaments, and I’m comfortable providing dependable, attentive care tailored to each dog’s individual needs. I currently work from home on freelance engineering design projects, and my own home improvement projects. This means I have a heaps of availability to pay attention to your pet! I am an active individual that recently moved to Anchorage, I love walking with dogs to explore neighborhoods and get exercise. I also have a yard at my home, which is unfenced, and I look forward to romping around with leashed dogs. Regarding situations where dogs stay at my house, I currently have two young cats which any visiting dogs will have to be okay with. Because my house has two levels, I do have the ability to block the stairway and provide my cats with a sanctuary if the cats get tired of dog games.

About: I love all animals, with proper direction I’m positive I can give adequate care to any and all animals and ensure their safety and health. I work full time with a nonprofit organization downtown that helps unhoused youths. My schedule is Sunday through Thursday from 2:30 pm - 10:30. My days off are Friday and Saturday. I can take one break depending on the how far the location is from my work to give a potty break. In my free time I’m devoted to whatever may come and is needed for any and all pets ❤️ I’ve worked with the state for most of my adult life and always have passed a background check. My resume includes elderly care, hospital healthcare, in home healthcare, and most recently three years as a domestic violence/homeless shelter advocate with a non profit organization in rural Alaska. I’ve had animals my entire life and enjoy the company of all! I have experience with not only cats and dogs but fish, rodents and reptiles as well. About: I have experience with dogs of all ages and sizes, and love them all! I strive to provide care that is comparable to you being there yourself. I feel that dogs need a caregiver that loves the dog as if they were their own, and I feel that I am that caregiver. I have a big heart and strong passion for dogs and I pride myself on being able to provide the best care for them. I find myself to be a very open communicator. My availability is flexible. I am available most days, as well as weekends, as early as 5am, (or as late as 9pm) dependent on your needs. During a typical day, I will ensure your dog is exercised, and has lots of fun. I love going to parks/dog parks and allowing the dogs to discover new smells. I would also love to provide more vigorous walks, like hiking or going on longer walking trails. It all varies with what your dog will need. I have a ton of flexibility throughout the week & am happy to be there for you & your pets at an hours notice. I have a 7 year old, and we love getting outside, so fitting your pet-care into our daily schedule will be super easy and fun for us! About: I’m your dog’s new best friend! From puppy love to senior snuggles, I offer personalized care, fun walks, and plenty of love—plus I’m trained in pet first aid for extra peace of mind! I love working with dogs immensely and can't wait to meet your fur babies! :) I have 3 years of professional dog daycare experience and a lifetime of dog ownership, including large and high energy dogs. I’m confident managing cold weather routines, winter walks, and multi dog households, and I provide structured, attentive care in all seasons. Some things that I like to do, depending on the dog, is engage play time with brain enriching such as, lick mats, nose work games, dog puzzles and more! I really enjoy going on walks often which can also be a brain enrichment activity for your fur baby. I am aware that some, if not most, dogs have set in schedules. I am more than willing to go by that so your fur baby is comfortable and still on schedule while you are away. About: I’ve always had animals since I was born, and love and appreciate the sweet qualities they bring to our lives. I enjoy being able to fill in the gaps for pet owners so their beloved pet can experience less anxiety while they are away. I am 32 years old, married for 9 years, and have an 8 year old and 3 month old daughters. I am a nursing student and use Rover to make a bit of extra income, get exercise, and spend time with amazing animals. I have a husky mix and terrier mix, so I have experience in quite contrasting breeds! I also have a 4 year old tabby cat. PLEASE NOTE I follow the ASD (Anchorage School District) snow days and holidays and can not provide services during those times as my oldest will be out of school. Most of the time I will have my baby with me for walks. For this reason I can only accept dogs well trained on leash and who are ok with kids. She will not be allowed to interact with your pet, I will wear her in a carrier. I am available Monday through Friday 9 am with my last booking available at 1:30 pm. Please remember I follow ASD snow days and holidays. No weekends. I am well versed in escape artists and keeping them safely indoors. I have owned birds, fish, cats, and dogs. I am a nursing student, and even though animals are much different than people I am intuitive to if something is wrong. My current dog is 16 years old and I am familair with the needs of a senior animal.

About: I love dogs, I like to do what they want! We live in Anchorage so dogs close by are preferable. We would love to do dog walks or drop in visits. We get outside a lot and like to get off leash if it's a safe area and your dog won't take off. Otherwise retractable leashes are the way to go. We are responsible about picking up dog poop. We will show your dog a good time! We will customize our care for your dog, just let us know any details you need us to know. On walks we will keep them on a leash unless it’s a dog park or an off leash area and know that they will return to our command. Whatever schedule is required is fine. Must check the calendar before full schedule is decided. Just let us know what time the walk would need to be and it should be fine. We can do a dog walks as needed, and I may have my son‘s help out. We usually try to keep them on, always to be safe.

About: When I was around 12, I started taking care of my neighbor’s chocolate lab whenever they went camping. Ever since, I’ve known that caring for animals was a passion of mine. When I was old enough, I worked at an animal daycare for a year. Right now, I work 8:30–5:00 for a travel design company, though twice a week i work from home. But I can do walks during my lunch break, as well as check-ins, boarding requests, and feeding appointments. These days, I mostly help take care of my family and friends’ pets, and I’d be so happy to help care for yours too! As a travel designer, a portion of my work is remote, which gives me a flexible and predictable schedule. Most of my planning, emails, and itinerary work can be done from my laptop, so I’m able to be present with pets throughout the day while still meeting my work responsibilities. I think the biggest thing is this communication between the pet owner and the sitter. Any and all expectations will be met and I strive to go above and beyond.

About: Growing up with a dog, a daily dog walk has been a part of my routine as long as I can remember. Since moving to Alaska 7 years ago, I got my best adventure buddy, Bird (a golden retriever) who has helped me explore Alaska from Sitka to Fairbanks to Anchorage. I have experience watching senior dogs that require medication, as well as active sled dogs that needed lots of exercise in the winter. My dog Bird has gotten used to every dog she's met once given time to adjust, and would love some dog friends in town. I also have a lot of experience housesitting, especially during Alaska winters when driveways need shoveled. I currently work a flexible fellowship that allows me to work from home Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. While I go to the office on Tuesdays and Thursdays, my hours can be flexible to for pets that need more care. I am around during the weekends, usually I go for a hike so pets are welcome to join in the fun. Most my experience has revolved around going to clients home during pet sitting. I am open to taking dogs in my car to drive to hikes or parks around town.

I look forward to hearing from you! i work full-time and my typical hours are 7:30am - 4:30pm. i also have an alternative schedule which means i have rotating mondays off, while the opposite monday is a shorter day (7:30am - 3:00pm). outside of that, i will do my best to surround your pets with love and attention while you’re away. please reach out if you have any questions regarding my schedule. i recently opened my services to include boarding. i live in a duplex with my boyfriend. it has a fenced backyard and adequate space. it is located in the jewel lake area near local trails and parks. please note that dogs will be kenneled during work hours, but i accommodate a long lunch to be able to give them some freedom to stretch their legs and break up the day. kennels are provided.
