“I hired Diana to do several walks with our dog and to stay at my house while I was out of town. She did a great job taking care of the place and my dog (and 2 guinea pigs and 1 fish) - everything was well when I returned. I loved getting her updates and photos. She did a great job communicating when needed. I would hire her again and definitely recommend her.”

“Heather has been walking Gigi for almost a year now. She not only been reliable and kind but has gone above and beyond with Gigi, teachingi her tricks and updated me with all her walk experiences. Gigi loves Heather and gets so excited to see her when she comes. Heather makes sure Gigi gets a good walk in and takes extra time to show her love! We appreciate her so much!”

“Sky was fantastic with our super active Border Collie, Rocket! She was on time, communicative, and clearly knows how to handle high-energy dogs—Rocket came home ready for a nap, which is exactly what we hoped for. We’re looking forward to having her walk him again soon!”

About: Hello, my name is Christine and I have been living in Alameda for 4 years. In my life, I have cared for 2 seniors dogs - Cookie (7-14 y.o.) and more recently Louie (9 weeks-10 y.o.), who have both now crossed the rainbow bridge. I am comfortable with administering medications, drop-ins, walking, and feeding. I occasionally dog sit for some of my neighbors and friends that live in my neighborhood. I am also volunteer at a local shelter in the East Bay, focusing primarily on small dog socialization, behavior observation, and preparing the dogs for adoption. Being in the shelter so often, I am comfortable being around many different dog breeds and temperaments. If you would like to book with me, please send me a message and we can set up a meet-and-greet! I look forward to meeting you and your furbaby soon! I am currently working from home, so my availability is open for dog walking and drop ins, with preferred times at 12pm (lunch) and after work (5pm). I have more flexibility on the weekends. As I provide care within your home setting, I trust that your place of residence will have an environment that is safe for both your dog(s) and visitors, whether that includes a crate, barrier/baby gate for the front door, or basic commands.

About: With 10+ years of animal care experience — including 4 years as a veterinary assistant — I’m especially experienced with seniors, anxious or shy pets, and those needing medications or extra TLC. I’m reliable, calm under pressure, and treat every pet like my own. Providing care for pets fits naturally into my lifestyle — my schedule is intentionally flexible so I can be available when your pets need me most. Whether you need help during long workdays, weekend trips, or last-minute schedule changes, I’m happy to accommodate a wide range of needs. Let me know what your pet’s routine looks like — I’ll do my best to match it, so they feel safe, loved, and right at home while you’re away. Within the client's home, I do everything I can to make their pets feel safe, seen, and loved. I know how important it is to maintain their routine and environment, especially for pets who thrive on familiarity. I take time to build trust, go at their pace, and make sure they feel comfortable with me in their space. Whether it’s a quick drop-in, extended visit, or overnight stay, I’m respectful of both your home and your pet’s boundaries. I always follow instructions carefully, provide updates along the way, and make sure your pet is happy, secure, and well cared for while you’re away. For the health and safety of your pet, I kindly ask that clients provide their own grooming tools — including brushes, combs, nail clippers, styptic powder, and any other essentials your pet is familiar with. Using your pet’s personal tools helps prevent the spread of bacteria, and ensures a safe, and hygienic experience. Your pet’s safety and your peace of mind are always my top priorities.

About: I am a huge animal lover and love discovering each cat or dog's individual personality! I appreciate any information regarding what your particular pet does/does not like. I love to take long walks, have a car for walks on the beach, or just exploring the neighborhood. When it comes to dog sitting, I am very respectful of other's homes and just want to ensure that your dog feels safe and reassured while you are gone. I have been pet sitting for friends and those I have met while dog walking/dog sitting/neighbor's of friends for about 8 years now. I always enjoy myself and love to send lots of pictures and updates to concerned dog parents. I have only had positive responses and am happy to supply references. I hope to meet you and your dog family soon! I have a full-time job Monday-Friday with flexible hours, so I can often fit in walks during the day with advance notice. I would especially love to support your family especially during weekends, evenings, and the upcoming holidays! Sadly my building does not allow pets, so I can only care for them outside of my home. I notes from pet parents on how to best support their fur babies, and I offer lots of attention and care to your cat/dog while you are unable to be there. Always happy to send photos/videos to those missing their cat/dog!

About: I am very attentive to the needs of your pets, especially if they are older and slower, but I also enjoy energetic puppies and pets that need some training and just need some positive re-enforcement. I am available to House sit - although I don't know how to reflect that on the website. I actively practice positive reinforcement obedience training. My schedule is open now in general but I may do a retreat every so often. I nearby in the Bay Area, my schedule is more flexible. I prefer to care for pets in their own homes, since I live in a small place. I am attentive to the needs of the pet and if I see that the pet needs exercise, I make sure they get sufficient exercise through their regular routines.

I'll make sure you and your pets are satisfied with every service! I have an extremely flexible schedule so we can always try to find something that works. I'll make sure you and your pets are satisfied with every service! I take care of them like they are my own with the expectation of the pets and owners want and need! This is always my goal

About: Many animals like to get close to me when they see me. Even if they are fierce, when they see me, they will naturally get close to me when they see me smiling. My time is very flexible and can be arranged according to your needs. So if any client needs help suddenly, they can contact me. Thank You. I need to understand the personality of the pet I take care of. Secondly, when I go to the client's home, of course I will check whether the pet has eaten and drunk water, whether I want to take it for a walk, etc. After that, I may play some games that it likes with it.

About: I’ve had pets all of my life! I will treat your pet as my own. Love and respect go a long way in gaining a friendship with all pets. I work full time at a 9-5 type job. When I’ve stayed with pets, they get a walk before I leave for work and after I get home. I don’t take jobs too far away from my area during the week. I wouldn’t want to leave my own pet alone for more than I needed to, let alone someone else’s pet. My preference is to work with dachshunds, American bull terriers and cat. If I’m available, I’d love to sit for you! My small dachshund has a crate he sleeps in and a decent back yard. I will adhere to all instructions from the owners for their pets. Even if your pet is comfortable around other pets and kids, I tend to steer clear of distractions on walks. Just for safety ☺️

Christine R.
“I've known Christine for about five years—we met through Polynesian dance and have practiced and performed together regularly. Over time, our connection grew beyond the studio; we’re now neighbors and close friends who often go on walks and enjoy lunch together. Christine has looked after my dog, Hazel, many times—whether I’m out of town for an extended weekend or getting home late from work. Hazel is a 62-pound pitbull with cancer, so she requires special care, including specific meals and daily medication. Christine has been incredibly reliable and attentive with her care, and I always feel at ease knowing Hazel is in such capable hands. Hazel is very loving toward people but can be a bit wary of other dogs. Christine has done an excellent job managing her interactions and making sure everyone stays safe and comfortable on walks. She takes Hazel out three times a day—two longer walks in the morning and evening around meals, and a shorter relief walk in the afternoon. Christine is kind, responsible, and truly loves animals. She cared deeply for her own dog, Louie (may he rest in peace), who was a sweet and well-behaved pup. I’ve seen firsthand how dedicated she is to giving dogs the attention, structure, and love they need. I wholeheartedly recommend Christine as a dog walker on Rover. Your pet will be in caring, thoughtful, and experienced hands.”
