“Heather is above and beyond awesome. She stayed with my 2 dogs and 1 cat overnight for 10 days and took exceptional care of the pets as well as the home and plants. I really appreciated her twice daily communication with the most adorable photo updates and that she was always punctual and followed through exactly as she promised. I came home to find very happy pets who were obviously loved on so well. Heather was also flexible and kind when I alerted her to my partner swinging by to mow the lawn or grab something. Highest recommendation for her services!”

“Ellie did a great job taking care of our older dog and very quickly they got used to each other!! Ellie touched base with me on a daily basis and sent lots of pictures at the end of the day as requested!! We will definitely book Ellie in the future and highly recommend her!!”

“This was the third time we used Dani while were out of town. Dani is responsive, easy to work with, very responsible, and most importantly excellent with our dogs. I highly recommend her and have already booked her again!”

“Jayla is a fantastic dog sitter! We had to leave our pup for close to 2 weeks and Jayla took good care of him and made sure he was happy and cozy while we were away! She sent us pictures of him every day and did an amazing job maintaining his routine. We're so grateful for her excellent care and highly recommend her to anyone looking for an attentive, responsive, and caring pet sitter!”

“Des is always there when I need her - extremely loving and professional. Onyx trusts her so much and he’s always happy with her! I never have to worry about leaving my boy in her care. She will always be my go-to. If you’re looking for a sitter for your fur baby, she is definitely the one. Thank you Des 💗”

“Farah was absolutely wonderful with our fur babies! After a very hectic few weeks, we really needed to make a break away to attend a work event before the holidays. Farah was very understanding and empathetic with us and our fur babies. Leaving them with Farah after a meet & greet gave us peace of mind and we were able enjoy our quick get away. Thank you, Farah!”

“Gladiola was great! Very communicative, reliable, and great with my cat and dog. I got loads of pictures, regular updates, and both pets were well taken care of. I'd be happy to have her petsit again next time I'm out of town.”

“Ally was great! Teddy can definitely be a handful at times, but she managed well by looking after him. Jack usually takes a while to warm up to new people, but with Ally, he opened up so quickly it felt like they had known each other forever. Ally is reliable and trustworthy which gave me so much peace of mind while I was away. On top of that, she tidied up around the house and even offered to help with more before she left. I would highly recommend Ally to any and all pet owners.”

“Karli was great! We needed special care for one of the two doggies and Karli had no problem going the extra mile for her. She was very friendly and caring towards the dogs and tried extra hard to get our very skittish doggie to warm up to her. We will be using Karli again! ”

“Stephanie was great! She communicated consistently with texts and pictures of our pups. She made sure they were well fed, took them on walks, and managed a few oddball chores we asked her to help with. Our family and pup crew hope to meet again.”

“Geneva was assumed with Pepper and beans. Being very tentative with them when it came to feeding and being let out. Also spending some social time with them. Ill def recommend and hire again for future vacations.!!!”

“Molly was very communicative and loving with my pup! She handled lots of medicines like a champ. I’m so grateful to Molly for looking after my girl while I was out of town.”

About: Hi! I’ve been caring for pets for 10+ years and have experience with dogs, cats, rabbits, birds, chickens, and even farm animals. I grew up around many types of pets and am comfortable with animals of all sizes. I offer 30–60 minute drop-in visits for feeding, fresh water, litter box cleaning, potty breaks, playtime, and dog walking (including multiple dogs). I’m also experienced with administering medications, including injections when needed. For house sitting, I can also bring in mail, collect packages, water plants, manage deliveries or repair visits, and keep you updated while you’re away. If you’d like to meet beforehand or see reviews, feel free to reach out. 😊 I have a flexible part-time job, I run a small rabbitry (check out Pink Lemon Lops on Instagram), and I manage an Airbnb out of my house. I have ample flexibility and free time to care for your little furbabies whenever you need. I am also free for overnight stays, any day of the week. I'm very comfortable following any specific instructions you leave (including medications or special needs), and in general will give them a high level of care, love, and attention at a baseline.
“Bailey took great care of my dog! She sent lots of pictures, was great at communicating with me the whole time she was watching her and also kept me updated on how she was doing especially since my dog just got out of the emergency vet right before I left for my vacation. I would definitely have Bailey watch my dog again and highly recommend her!”

Angelica was a dream sitter. She texted every day with updates, some days multiple times, just to set our minds and hearts at ease. We have two dogs with disparate temperaments and needs and she really nailed it with both of them -- keeping our high-energy 1-year-old blue heeler-mix on the move while letting our skittish pug-mix warm up slooowly. In the past I've had sitters who never made any connection or progress with our pug-mix during a 10 day stay away and I was really grateful to Angelica for being patient while still building a bond (not just giving up/being passive). We came home to our house just as we left it and she even picked up some. We are really grateful for her and would absolutely book her again.

Ruth did a fantastic job dog-sitting our two dogs and taking care of house while we were out of town for several days. She did a great job communicating and sending updates. We knew the dogs were in great hands. I would highly recommend her and will definitely look to have her stay at our home for future trip!

We had an amazing experience with Sarah. She took excellent care of our precious pets, making sure they had daily walks and hugs and special treats. In addition, Sarah helped us so much by watering our container plants daily to keep them alive in the Houston heat. On a special note, when I had to undergo an emergency appendectomy while on vacation, Sarah was wonderfully compassionate and reassuring. She provided daily updates with photos and constantly reassured us that there was nothing to worry about at home and to just focus on healing from my health Emergency. We will definitely book Sarah for future trips and would recommend that you do too. Thank you Sarah!

Jasmeen is amazing and I strongly recommend! Was able to help me out last minute which is alway nice. She still made time to meet up beforehand and was super communicative everyday of watching Cody. My dog is also pretty shy/anxious, but he warmed up very quickly to her and I don’t doubt that wasn’t partly due to the way she was able to meet him where he was at and not rush him during the initial meeting. Again, she was such a great sitter!

I couldn’t recommend her more highly! She took such great care of my dog while I was away. He’s usually quite nervous around new people, but he took to her immediately, which gave me so much peace of mind. Communication was excellent throughout my trip. She sent plenty of updates and photos, so I always knew he was happy, comfortable, and well looked after. She also treated my home with so much care. I came back to a spotless apartment, and she had even washed and changed the bed sheets, which was such a thoughtful touch after travelling. It’s clear she genuinely cares about the dogs she looks after, and I wouldn’t hesitate to book her again. Thank you for taking such wonderful care of both my dog and my home.

Jill was fantastic, she took great care of my dog! So happy to have found her, she will be my go-to sitter for the future! Thank you, Jill, for your excellent care and communication. It means the world to be able to relax and know that my senior dog is in trustworthy hands while away.
grant was hands down the most incredible pet sitter i've ever tried ever! he was so good at communicating quickly especially with me being in the virgin islands where service is only available in certain areas. not once while i was on vacation did i have to worry about my pup because i knew he was in good hands. grant even last minute excepted to watching my pup for 2 more days due to a flight delay. grant is who i will use anytime i need a sitter. my concierge was even telling me that zeus looked so happy while in his care PLEASE make sure to take the opportunity and book if he has open availability, you will not be disappointed

Naomi always goes above and beyond to make sure our pups are well cared for while we are away. She provides structured routines, lots of love, sends plenty of updates and videos! She is also very well rounded in her knowledge and handling of all types of dog temperaments and needs; our two pups have very different care requirements (ie one with medical needs and one is a young dog with a lot of energy) and she always does a fantastic job with them both! I would highly recommend her! (-:

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred West University Place walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in West University Place maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in West University Place choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
