“Kaira is great! She always takes great care of my babies while I’m gone. Lola was on her period and had started the morning I was leaving for my trip and she didn’t have any issues accommodating this extra step! Thank you so much Kaira!!”
“Daniele stayed at our house again while we were out of town, this time for a week. She is so great with our two dogs, including one that is a very old and requires a lot of patience. They both really love her and I can leave knowing that they are in good hands. She gives them lots of love and attention, and sends me updates and photos while I’m away. She also takes great care of our house – best dog/house sitter ever!”

“Jairo was great with ours dogs! He kept us updated, communicated well. We really appreciated the notes he left about each of them during his stay with them. It gives us peace of mind knowing they were in good hands. We would definitely use his services again and highly recommend him!”

About: I’ve taken care of cats and dogs for friends and neighbors for several years and grew up with as many as 3 dogs in the home at one time!! Would love to meet some new furry friends! 🥰 Transitioning jobs and my schedule is opening up and I will be free a lot more!!! Shoot me a message if you have any questions! Will always make sure the fur babies get lots of love while they are in my care and my neighborhood being on the bayou I like to take advantage of walks (if it’s not too hot!).
About: I’ve taken care of dogs, cats, and a few exotic pets for quite some time! I used to volunteer at the animal shelter, and I take care of all my friends' pets when they go on vacation. I’ll watch TikTok videos with your dogs or play hide-and-seek if that’s more their speed. • 30 Minute Dog Walks include walks around your neighborhood or a nearby trail so your dog can get exercise, sniff around, and burn off some energy during the day. • 30 Minute Drop Ins include potty breaks, feeding, playtime, fresh water, and plenty of attention to help your pet stay comfortable while you’re away. • My Basic House Sitting service includes overnight stays so your pet can stick to their normal routine at home. I also provide daytime care every 5 hours for potty breaks, meals, playtime, and company. I’m trying to save some extra money and have a decent amount of free time in my schedule! I am free most weekdays; I just prefer a little heads-up! I’m super fun with dogs! You tell me what they like doing, and I’ll copy it! The thought of dogs sitting at home 8 hours a day while their friends are at work makes me sad, so I try to mimic what you would do to keep them happy.
“Ruth has been an amazing house and pet sitter for me and my two little pups! She's kind, conscientious and overall a fantastic person and perlt caretaker! I highly recommend Ruth for all of your house and pet sitting needs! 🫶🩷🐾”

“Sara watched our two kitties for an entire week. It was beyond helpful and awesome. She was able to keep me at ease. She communicated with me the entire time. As well as before the trip. You can tell she is incredibly comfortable taking care of animals. Our house was left clean, our kitties were happy and safe. Highly recommend!! Thank u thank u Sara!!”

“Courtney is very cheerful and sweet. She was great with my fur babies. She watered my plants too when I asked, in this Texas heat! I’ll definitely have her back!!!”

“Tim was great! My dogs can be particular about new people, but you can tell they were very comfortable with him. He communicated very well and spent great time with them. I will be using Tim again!”

“Stephanie was great! She communicated consistently with texts and pictures of our pups. She made sure they were well fed, took them on walks, and managed a few oddball chores we asked her to help with. Our family and pup crew hope to meet again.”

“The dogs liked him. He was very attentive. Kept us posted on everything that was going on with daily pictures with updates. Will definitely use him again.”

“Awesome sitter for our dogs. gave me and my wife updates when we're on our trip and kept our living space tidy. Pepper and beans are definitely looking forward to our next trip so we can book marc again.”

“Taylor was amazing! I had a previous sitter who canceled on me last minute and Taylor was available to watch my puppy for me with very little notice. My puppy definitely seemed to enjoy her, and I really don’t think she was worried about me not being there. I will definitely, hire Taylor again. Highly recommended.”

“Ashlee took such good care of our big baby and our home! With bad weather and extended stay, both were in good hands! We are so appreciative of her care and attention. Going to try to book her right now for our next trip in a few weeks!”

“Jennifer was absolutely wonderful! She had great communication throughout our trip and always responded quickly to messages. She shared lots of photos of our dogs, which really helped me not miss them so much while we were away. She kept them on their usual walk, meal, and medicine schedule, and made sure they got plenty of playtime and attention. When we came home, the house was spotless and the dogs were happy and relaxed. I’d definitely hire her again for pet sitting or walks. Highly recommend!”

“Abigail did an amazing job with Seamus! He’s a bit of an odd ball and she took it all in stride. Abigail also provided lots of updates with photos and videos!”

“My two girls loved Victoria!!! Every day she took them on walks, and gave them their every daily essentials. She would send us pictures numerous times during the day with her daily interactions that made us feel reassured that they were being well taken care of. She’s a sweet and nurturing person that you know that your fur babies are being well taken care of. The house was very clean and the girls were well picked up after.”

About: I have had a plethora of pups all my life in a variety of sizes; and everything from teacups to titans. I have also more recently (4yrs) been able to unleash my love for fur babies on kitties too! I also have experience pet and house sitting for many years. I have a teacup poodle named Nugget that loves playing with dogs and cats of all sizes. Though Nugget and I live in an apartment, it is quite large with an open floor plan and plenty of room for the zoomies. It is also a very pet friendly gated complex with plenty of grassy areas to run around and play, and only a few minutes from the dog park! It is also just a block away from an artisan pet bakery and a veterinary hospital. Just across the street from my complex is a beautiful neighborhood with picturesque tree lined sidewalks that are great for afternoon walks. Nugget and I can’t wait to meet your fur baby and share some pets and cuddles. I currently work from home and make my own schedule, which gives me the flexibility to work with you and your pet’s schedule for the best outcome for all. My teacup poodle, Nugget, and I love hosting furry friends. We have lots of treats and toys to share l, with your permission of course. Multiple walks take place each day, anywhere from 15mins to an hour, depending on the weather, and fresh water is always available. Pets are allowed on the furniture and multiple pet beds are available, but I understand if you and your pet prefer their own and/or their crate. The longest time pets would be left alone is 1-2hrs, but this rarely happens as I usually take them with me if the errand allows for it. I am also happy to care for your pup in your own home. Please just let me know what kind of routine you wish me to follow and I’ll be happy to oblige to the best of my ability. Please note, walks during drop-in visits will only be long enough for your heart up to take care of their bodily needs. These visits are for feeding, checking in on your animal, and socialization. If you would like the focus of the visit to be walking your pup, please book a dog walk, as opposed to a drop-in visit. Thank you.

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Piney Point Village
Isabella stepped in last minute and even ran out for a quick meet and greet before we left on our trip. Communication was fast and reliable. She did everything we asked of her, and she sent us lots of photos!! We managed to relax knowing our fur babies were in good hands. We returned home to happy pets and the house looked great. Highly recommend!

Daniela was such a blessing! From day one she was very responsive and professional. I made her come to my house twice for meet and greet because i have two Dobermans and i needed them to get familiarized with her before my trip. She accomodated my last minute changes and made the whole experience so enjoyable. My dogs are very high maintenance and extremely velcro so i was worried it would be too much for Daniela but nope! Got so many pictures and updates that i didnt worry about my doggos (or my house) while i was on vacation. She went above and beyond and left the house even cleaner than how i left it. Even gave freyja a bath. Not ever booking with anyone else other than her :) happy with my first ever rover experience and very thankful i found her.

Jairo was great with ours dogs! He kept us updated, communicated well. We really appreciated the notes he left about each of them during his stay with them. It gives us peace of mind knowing they were in good hands. We would definitely use his services again and highly recommend him!

Tanita is the best! There was an immediate connection between she and my pup. You could tell right away that she is a dog person. She sent pictures while we were out of town which I loved. She never complained but I am certain she cleaned up pee and poop messes. She left the house in better condition than the way we left it. Tanita is very responsible and trustworthy. Overall it was a really great experience and I absolutely will be reaching out to Tanita again when we go out of town. My dog keeps asking when she will be coming back! Highly recommend.

Daniele stayed at our apartment and took care of our two small dogs and cat. She was professional and our animals were well-cared for. One of our dogs is on two medications and his meds were handled well. The dogs also required walking 5-6 times a day and that was handled. We came home to a clean apartment and happy, settled dogs (and cat). Lots of pictures and videos sent to make us feel better about leaving.

Other sitters we’ve used in the past always left our dog, Bolero, and our apt well treated, but our fur baby was learning bad behaviors. Eric stayed at our apt and watched Bolero for over a week and he was amazing. He sent messages and pictures everyday. He bathed Borelo, despite my warning that he didn’t need to unless it was really a problem because our cavapoo is unsurprisingly a good boy but because of his energy he is marked at the groomers as “needs special attention”. Bolero’s latest visit involves him peeing on at least 3 people over a 4 hour period with a happy smile on his face the whole time-despite having peed 3 times in the parking lot before walking in the door. Bolero is 3 years old and house trained. Eric left our apt exactly as we left, and had a super easy handoff. It seems like our dog misses him, and is still well behaved, so we will be using him again in the future. :)

Brisa has been absolutely wonderful with our dog, Charlie. It’s so great knowing he’s being well cared for while she’s watching him. Brisa is reliable, kind, and clearly loves what she does. We’re so grateful to have found her and would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a great dog walker / sitter!

Frequently asked questions about Rover
The average cost for House Sitting in Piney Point Village on Rover is $45 per night (as of July 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.
Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .
As of July 2026, there are 3,934 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Piney Point Village. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Piney Point Village walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Piney Point Village maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Piney Point Village choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
