“Ellie was amazing! She took Taffy on all kinds of little adventures and sent me the cutest pictures. She was super communicative and I could tell Taffy had a great time without me because she’s already went back to sleep and I just got home. Thank you Ellie!”

“Kayla was amazing with our 3 high-maintenance Frenchies. She showed up on time, sent updates with photos, and made sure they got their care & meds as needed. We are so happy to have found her!”

“She is amazing! Patient , kind, and great with animals!! She fed Malikai and took him out and cater for this big scaredy fluff ball! Thank you so much! I will book again!”

“Dani was amazing! She provides daily updates but also responded right away if I texted at random to check in. Benny was experiencing minor bleeding after a surgery he received and Dani made sure to take care of him to the best of her ability. She left the house clean & tidy and even offered to go out and buy something that we ran out of. We definitely recommend her & plan on using her for any future travel!”

“Farah is absolutely amazing! She was so outstanding with our pup Maya! She constantly checked in and provided updates with pictures which was fantastic! Her communication was always excellent and kind! Our pup Maya absolutely adored her, and I swear she left our house cleaner than we left it! Absolutely 100/10, will book again in a heartbeat!”

“Sarah is amazing! She stayed with my dogs for the first time last night, and I appreciated how loving she was with them. Great at sending updates to me throughout her stay and took special care of the dogs and my home. I’ll be booking Sarah again!”

“My dog, Dante, can be anxious around new people. Jamie connected with him immediately and understood how to handle him! I'm so grateful for her attentiveness and care of my snuggle monster!”

“My second time booking with Desdrianneja and I felt so comfortable leaving Onyx in her care again! She did not disappoint and communicated with me every day. Onyx loves her and I appreciate her professionalism and kindness towards not only my precious boy, but me as well. Thank you Desdrianneja 💗💗”

“Amazing dog-sitter, unselfish, goes above and beyond, loves animals (my dog, at least). I am VERY thankful for having Timothy be my dog-sitter for 5-6 days. I am almost worried my dog will leave me for him haha…💯”

“Daniele stayed at our apartment and took care of our two small dogs and cat. She was professional and our animals were well-cared for. One of our dogs is on two medications and his meds were handled well. The dogs also required walking 5-6 times a day and that was handled. We came home to a clean apartment and happy, settled dogs (and cat). Lots of pictures and videos sent to make us feel better about leaving.”

“This was the first time we used Rover and Siyu was AMAZING!!! She stayed at our house for 11 days watching our older Yorkie while we were traveling. Siyu is extremely caring and a great communicator. She sent us pictures and videos of the walks, feeding and play time. HIGHLY recommend her if you are looking for a responsible and caring dog sitter!!! We will use her service again!”

“Jill took care of our 2 dogs (Pomskies) AND our sons 2 dogs (Shitzus) - and never missed a beat! Everything went great! She was prompt, skilled and communicated well and sent us pictures. Will definitely hope to have her back again!”

“I have used Naomi several times and I always have such piece of mind that my pups are well taken care of. She really goes out of her way to make sure your dog is comfortable while you are away.”

“Jennifer was absolutely wonderful! She had great communication throughout our trip and always responded quickly to messages. She shared lots of photos of our dogs, which really helped me not miss them so much while we were away. She kept them on their usual walk, meal, and medicine schedule, and made sure they got plenty of playtime and attention. When we came home, the house was spotless and the dogs were happy and relaxed. I’d definitely hire her again for pet sitting or walks. Highly recommend!”

“Eva was really great with my sweet piranha. she id a little reactive and nervous with new people, but she immediately took to Eva. We had some communication issues in the beginning, but after some chatting, we were able to resolve everything and she was even able to extend her time with piranha at the end of the booking when my flight was canceled so her flexibility is unmatched. I will 100% book with her again!”

About: I was born and raised in Houston and have been sitting for family, friends, and other clients since I was a teenager. I’m used to working with a broad spectrum of dog breeds + dogs of all ages (not a stranger to doggy diapers and suspenders). I grew up with a pug named Chestnut who passed last year and he had such a big personality and spirit, and was a big part of my childhood. He is always in my heart and when I sit for other dogs, I give them all my love and care for them to the best of my ability 🤍! I pay close attention to a dog’s behavior and their body language signaling. It is important for their health, comfort, and safety. I recently graduated from Texas A&M and I am freelancing so I will have plenty of time for all your dog’s needs and playtime! My days usually begin at 8:30am. In my free time I do yoga/meditate, play guitar, and make art! I need to be briefed on a dog’s routine and usual behaviors before pet sitting at a client’s house. I like to have initial meetings while the owner is present to establish a relationship with the dog in a comfortable environment for them. During drop-ins and house sitting days, I am only responsible for the dog and no other individuals in the house. I am not a babysitter for clients that have not explicitly reached out to me for that reason. I am also not responsible for 24-hour surveillance of your property during house-sitting as I would be living there as if it was my house. I am always respectful of my surroundings and leave the house like I found it.
“Geneva was assumed with Pepper and beans. Being very tentative with them when it came to feeding and being let out. Also spending some social time with them. Ill def recommend and hire again for future vacations.!!!”

“Lindsey is hands-down the best dog sitter we could have asked for. Our pups are like our kids, so we’re wary of leaving them with just anybody. Lindsey took the time to meet with us before our vacation to go through our daily routine and address any questions to help put our minds at ease. We received regular updates and communication throughout the stay. She went above and beyond in all aspects. Highly recommend her and we’ll certainly be using her again soon!”

Southside Place pet parents share their Rover experiences
Daniela was such a blessing! From day one she was very responsive and professional. I made her come to my house twice for meet and greet because i have two Dobermans and i needed them to get familiarized with her before my trip. She accomodated my last minute changes and made the whole experience so enjoyable. My dogs are very high maintenance and extremely velcro so i was worried it would be too much for Daniela but nope! Got so many pictures and updates that i didnt worry about my doggos (or my house) while i was on vacation. She went above and beyond and left the house even cleaner than how i left it. Even gave freyja a bath. Not ever booking with anyone else other than her :) happy with my first ever rover experience and very thankful i found her.

Keely was warm, friendly, and easy going when she came over before hand to meet my puppy. This was my first time using Rover and was impressed by the level of service received by Keely. She sent pictures everyday along with communication. If there were any concerns, all minor puppy behavior, she noted them via text. For example, asked how I handled my dog, an Australian Shepherd, wanting to sprint for several blocks and be an Olympic Champ (my words not hers), I gave her suggestions that have worked for me. All to say, she doesn’t hesitate to reach out and ask what works for your dog when needed. I would recommend Keely and use her services again if she is up to my energetic Australian Shepherd.

Kendall was absolutely fantastic. She house sitted for our American Akita while we were out of the country, which is no easy feat. American Akitas are very large dogs, and notoriously difficult to open up to people they don’t know. Within 10 minutes of meeting Kendall, all of my concerns were extinguished. She’s highly professional, great with communication, and has “the touch”, where my introverted girly was best friends with her the second they met. I undoubtedly will be hiring Kendall for any future needs, and any other owner with large dog breeds, especially shy ones, should as well.

Abigail is The Best. I kind of hate to say that cause it will make it harder for us to get her when we want her to come stay! But she is great!! We have a very high energy dog, and she made every effort to walk her and play with her! And my house was spotless when I came home! We would give her 10 stars🐾🐾⭐️🌟⭐️

I can’t sing enough praises for Ellie. I booked her to house/dog sit while I traveled to europe for the first time. I was so anxious about leaving my babies but Ellie stayed in constant communication and sent me plenty of videos and pictures. She even met with me prior to do a meet and greet and a test run with a little walk. My apartment building is confusing but Ellie managed to navigate it well. I’m a very anxious person but i’m now so relieved to have a trustworthy sitter. 10/10 will book again. THANK YOU ELLIE

She was very communicative throughout the stay and clearly took the responsibility of caring for the pets seriously. She sent regular updates and photos, walked my senior dog daily, spent time playing with both pets, and also helped clean the kitchen and common areas before leaving, which I appreciated. I believe she genuinely cared about the animals and wanted to be helpful. Overall, I appreciated her attentiveness, communication, and the care she showed my pets during the booking.

Ruth was great with our little zoo of 3 big dogs! One of our pups is very anxious and she did great with her as well with our high energy golden! All their different foods, meds, and supplements were handled perfectly. She was very attentive and communicative. She also left our house spotless too which is always appreciated!
Shrav was excellent! She took care of our senior American bulldog, Caesar, for about a week while we were away and we never once worried about his wellbeing. She was very communicative throughout her stay - sending multiple videos of Caesar a day, and asking all the right questions. She cared for Caesar like her own and respected our space as well - came back to a happy boy and our place just as we left it. Would definitely book her again.

Naomi is wonderful!! We have two anxious dogs, one of them a rescue, and she put them at ease and took excellent care of them. When they met it was like they’d already known each other! Naomi is kind, professional, and helped me to enjoy the trip away rather than worrying about the dogs!!

This was my first time using Rover and I will never use anyone else! Lorin made me feel at ease while I was away with daily updates, photos and videos - ensuring Hazel was in great hands. Hazel has never been boarded or watched after by anyone except my family. Seeing how comfortable she was in Lorin’s home showed me how much Hazel loved her and how well she was being taken care of. Thank you for providing such great care and I promise that you will see Hazel again! ♥️
